Nana and Papa Visit

We were so glad when Nana and Papa Shawn said they were coming to visit after Jacob was born. They wanted ot give me and Jacob some time to rest so they took Xander and Skyler to the Zoo by our house.

Skyler wasn't going to get close enough to feed the goats, but Xander and Papa Shawn had a lot of fun.

They LOVE the Tiger, I think that it's their favorite animal at the moment.

Looking... Looking... Looking...
Not sure at what though

This was probably their favorite part of the whole trip. Sliding with Nana :)

Silly Tippetts Men

~My Crazy little Skyler~

On Veterans Day we attended a free breakfast at MSU for Veterans and their families.
They had a little bit of entertainment and then gave the history of the armed forces and recognized each branch of the military.
It was so great to be able to thank so many men and women for their service to our country.

Our Veteran
I am so proud of Derek. It's neat to be able to be reminded of what he has done for the United States. I know this Breakfast is one we will attend as long as we live in Springfield.

After the Breakfast they had 70 trumpets playing in honor of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for this country, their lives. they were scattered all across campus. It was so neat to hear.

We are so glad that Nana and Papa got to come and visit for the second time this year. We sure do miss them when they are gone!

Jacob's Blessing

Jacob was Blessed on Sunday November 7th, 2010
Derek had Guard Drill that weekend, and since this was the only time we would have Dad and Mom Tippetts around, we got special permission to do the blessing in our home.

We were blessed to have some of the most important Priesthood holders in our lives there to be a part of Jacob's blessing. (The only one missing was Derek's brother Paul, and we really wish he could have been there.) Uncle Charno, (Charles) Papa Jamie, Derek, Papa Shawn and our Home Teacher and dear friend Mike Miesner.
The Blessing was beautiful and the spirit was so strong in our home.

My Sweet Little Family
I think it's going to be a very long time before we will be able to get a picture with everyone looking in the same direction and smiling! :)

Our sweet little baby Jacob. We are so excited to have another boy. It has been such a joy to have him in our home. I love the spirit that comes into our home when we have a new baby.

Do you notice how we can't get Skyler to sit still and be calm for one picture?
:) He is a goofball and a hand full. I love how he is rolling his eyes in the middle picture, like, "Okay I am done NOW!" Ha Ha

Mommy and Jacob

I really do think we have some of the most adorable little men in the World :)

Halloween 2010

This year for Halloween it was a JUNGLE at our house.
About 3 months ago Alexander informed me that he wanted to be a tiger, when we went looking for a pattern Skyler saw a Turtle costume on one of the pictures and started balling because I wouldn't give it to him. So I caved.
We got the material and I succeeded in cutting out Xander's costume (note to self and everyone else, NEVER SEW WITH FAKE FUR!) that was a MESS and WAY to hard. Then I got about half of Skyler's costume cut out, and there they lay until the week of Halloween.
It's not like I wasn't busy, I did have a baby in there.
Well the week of Halloween I went down to Branson to help my mom sew a costume for my sisters. My wonderful mother helped me finish the boys' costumes, she is pretty amazing I think.
Here are the boys all dressed up in their costumes. I think they are THE cutest little animals ever. I don't know why they didn't win the costume contest.

Jacob is wearing the tiger costume that Xander wore his First Halloween too.
He was so stinking CUTE!
It was a great Halloween and we had so much fun at our ward's Trunk-or-Treat, and on Halloween we stayed home and had some good, fun family time.
