Since Jacob is due just about the time we always do our family pictures we had decided to hold them off until around January of next year. My friend amazing Joanna from J Design Studios called and asked if she could do a mini session with my boys, and maybe throw a little maternity in as well. Honestly, I wasn't sure how the maternity would turn out! I have never liked any pictures of me pregnant, but we decided to go ahead with it.
Well obviously I LOVE, LOVE them, otherwise I wouldn't be posting them. :)
We had such a good time and believe it or not, Joanna did this mini session in about 30 minutes!

I am now almost 23 weeks along. My pregnancy is going amazing, minus my back problems.
I have only gained 3 pounds and I feel great! I am able to keep up with the boys and take care of everything I need to. Jacob is growing very well and moving quite a bit! He is a strong little bugger! :)

So here's what has been happening at the Tippets' Home
Derek is all signed up and ready to start his bachelor's in Physics at Missouri State University.
He is still looking for a job and takes any little job whenever he can get it. When the semester starts he will be working for the VA part time.
As far as the summer goes, Derek is at AT for another week. It is slow this time so we get to talk quite a bit. He is usually fueling and sometimes they take a convoy out for a few runs. Nothing to crazy. I hate it when he has to leave for training. It's very hard for me to be without him, but I am so grateful that he isn't overseas doing this same thing. Reminding myself of that helps me a lot. He will come home for 2 weeks and then leave again for 2 weeks for WLC (Warrior Leadership Training) He can always use the training and we need the income. SO it all works out. I am so proud of him and the hard work he does to take care of our family!
Boy do I miss him.

Skyler really misses his Daddy too. He has been very crabby and calls for Derek a number of times throughout the day. Lately his withdrawals are turning into a lot of naughtiness and disobedience. It's very hard for me to handle, so Derek calls and talks to Skyler whenever he can. Skyler grins from ear to ear while he is talking to Derek. What a special bond they have. I love seeing how much they love each other.
Joanna got so many pictures that I decided to make a few collages so that I could get them all in! There might be a few doubles, but that's just because they are my favorites! :)
Xander loves to tell me that there is a baby boy in my tummy and his name is Jacob Lee, then Skyler points at my stomach and screams, "BEE!" He is so proud of himself!
My sweet Alexander John is getting so big! He told me this week that he wanted to go to college with his Daddy! :) Derek had taken us on a little tour of MSU to show us where he will be going to school for the next 3 years. Xander had such a good time, he wants to be a GIANT BEAR just like his Daddy. Xander is such a good big brother and is always wanting to help me. What a lucky Mommy I am.
Well I finally got my car fixed! We are selling so that we can get a van, I am hoping before Jacob arrives. I have been "nesting" so I am told. Rearranging rooms and pictures on walls. Derek painted our bedroom for me and now I am getting ready to make the old Computer Room the Nursery! I am so excited. I can't wait!
