Almost there!

(Derek and Paul 8/08)

Life has been a bit hectic for Derek! What with school, work and Army!
But I am so proud and excited to say that he will be getting his Associates Degree this summer! This is a goal that he set out to get when we got married! And even though he hasn't decided what he will ultimately go into as a profession... he has stuck to this!
There's something about reaching a goal that just makes you feel like everything
is going to be okay!
I am so proud of all his hard work and all that he has sacrificed for not only our family but also for me! I know that he misses being closer to his brother!
This Fall he will be starting ROTC, and then in 2 years he will Commission as an Officer and he will also get his Bachelor's Degree! I can't believe we only have 2 years of school left! YAY!
It's so close I can almost taste it! :)

He has been so busy that we don't get the time together that we would like!
But this summer he only has 2 classes and I am so grateful for that!

Nana's Visit!

Nana Tippetts got to come visit us for a whole week!
We were so excited to have her here!
While she was here we went to the Dickerson Park Zoo!
This is one of Alexander's favorite places to go. He loves all the animals!

One of his favorite things to do is take his Zoo Key and find all of the boxes!
The boxes have songs and facts about the animals!
Xander loves to dance to the songs!

Skyler usually just enjoys the ride!
But this time he loved the animals! He even got to pet a billy goat!
He just giggled at it!

We stopped for an ice cream snack!
Nana and Xander shared, but Xander made a HUGE mess of it all!

We had so much fun while Nana was here!
We love it when she comes to visit us!

Crawling little man!

This video was taken at Easter but it shows you how good he is at crawling! He is silly too! He now does a bear crawl and it is so cute! Definitely not what most babies do but I think it is adorable!
He is really trying to walk because he wants to run and play with Xander and Daddy!

Skyler's 1st Easter!

So this past Easter was Skyler's First Easter! He was so cute and had just started crawling! Xander and Skyler loved their basket! We don't do candy anymore so their basket was filled toys and healthy snacks!
Xander of coarse loved his bubbles, and also the puzzles that we got him! He also got a mini golf set and a baseball and bat! He also got a kite to play with daddy and Play dough! YAY! Not sure if that was a good choice yet or not! :)
Skyler got a rattle and animal cookies! He also loves to play with Xander's toys!

Xander loved coloring the eggs, and unlike last year, none were thrown or broken :)

Catch up!

Well A LOT has been going on in the Tippetts home! We have been so busy I haven't had the time to post anything I will catch up on Easter later!
Derek's mom came to visit the second week in April! Then my sister Ashlee got married! I was a brides maid so I was pretty busy! Not to mention we threw this whole thing together within 2 months! Then after that The Warnocks opened our new show! We have been so busy with wedding stuff and rehearsals that I completely forgot about, well everything! :)
The big news as far as my boys go is...
Alexander fell down the stairs and knocked his front teeth, they are going back into place but his front one is turning grey! :( I am so sad! My gorgeous boy has a grey tooth! People keep telling me that it isn't that bad and he is just a boy... but I am so upset about it! Other than that he has learned how to tease his baby brother!
Skyler is not only crawling but he also thinks that he should be walking too! He wants us to holds his hands so he can walk everywhere! If you let go he dramatically drops to the floor and throws a very big tantrum! Skyler is about 2 pounds away from Xander and they are wearing the same size shirts!
Well thats pretty much what has been going on! Sorry I am such a procrastinator! :)
