Yo ho, Yo ho, a "Pilot's" life for me!

This year for Halloween we did something new.
Our very awesome friends the Hoffpauir Family invited us over to their house for dinner and Trick-or-treating, followed by Hot Cocoa.

Xander and his best bud Gavin McGuire were so good when it came time to Trick-or-Treat.
They even held hands to stay together! Cute

Of coarse the big kids took off but Xander, Gavin and Bailey didn't mind.
They had so much fun together. I can't believe how long they lasted!

So these are the bags I made for the boys, a little big, I will fix them for next year, Skyler got to them obviously! Little Turkey!

Xander was scared of his Pirate make-up at first and cried because he wanted me to take it off.
After about 30 seconds he decided that he was a Tiger and started growling at everyone! =)

My adorable little Pirates, or "pilots" as Xander put it!
Skyler got extra candy constantly for being so adorable!
He kept holding his hand out for more and grinning at people after they would give him candy!

Best Buds
Never thought a Pirate and Cupid would get a long so well, did ya?

Momma's Boys

We had such a fun Halloween and we are so glad that Daddy got to celebrate it with us this year!
We are so glad to have such great Friends here in Springfield!

The Excitement is overwhelming!!!

Two weeks from today I will be on my way to Wyoming with my 2 little men. YAY!
I can't believe it's been 14 month's since we last saw Derek's Family. The kiddos were so little. this first picture is from then! Skyler is SO BIG now!

I am so excited to spend some much needed time with my Sister Jessica ;) and Derek's Mom and Dad. We will get to Laramie the night of the 15th and then when the weather looks good Jess the kids and I will head to Lovell. We will be there for a month before Derek and Paul join us for Christmas.

While writing this post I realized that I don't have any pictures of Jess and I. So that is one of my goals while there. Let's see if I can do it this time! LOL!

I also get to see all of my wonderful Family. My cousin Kasi is getting married and I get to see all of the new family members. I haven't been home for 2 years so there has been a lot of additions!
I am counting down the days!

Family Pictures!

Some very good friends of ours are photographers and we have had them take our pictures the last 2 years! I have always wanted to be a photographer so I asked them if I could mess around with a program on my computer!
They said YES! So here is what I have come up with!

One of these collages will be the picture we send with Christmas cards this year!

I had so much fun and I can't wait until we one day have enough money so that I can get a camera. When Derek gets out of School I will be able to go and have my tuition paid for because Derek is a Veteran! Awesome deal I think
Well I hope you enjoyed!

I was Bored!

Okay So I have been in bed for the last week recovering from my miscarriage, I tried to get up and clean but my body wasn't ready.
So I decided that if I didn't do something to keep me busy I would go insane.
So as I was surfing on line I found these adorable trick-or-treat bags for sale. I knew I could make something a lot bigger if I tried so I decided to try =)
Above is my Pirate Spider - He is Skyler's Trick - or - Treat bag
Googly Ghost is Alexander's bag

and Missy Witchy is for my niece Aftyn!

THey are just a little bit bigger than a cereal box and I had such a blast! I think this is the most fun craft I have done!
SO...
I have decided to sell them! If you would like one just give me a call or message me.
I can also make a Frankenstein if you would like!

Baby Vent!

Mommy & Skyler - 2 days old

Mommy & Alexander - 6 months old

So we have been trying to get pregnant again. Sunday I started bleeding and I ended up having a miscarriage. It's a little devastating, especially because this is #2 miscarriage, but because I didn't know I was pregnant it is a little easier. I will tell you what the hardest part is though...

Everyone around me is PREGNANT!!!! There are about 8-10 women in my ward that are pregnant. I have friends and Aunts and cousins that are pregnant too! I think I could scream! Sounds crazy but when I sit here wallowing knowing I won't get a little round belly I know I could go to the store and there would be tons of little pregnant happy mommy' s to be shopping in the baby section!! UGH! I can't escape it and I don't want to face it! Yeah I am venting! I just needed to get it off my chest!
I love all of my friends and family and I am so excited for those mom's who are expecting! Maybe I will be able in a few months!

I know that the Lord has a lot in store for me and all of my children, present and future. I am so grateful for the two wonderful boys that He has Blessed me with and a loving and caring husband who is so supportive and kind through all of this! He even let's me have ice cream whenever I want it! =) And the remote control! What a stud!
So I guess for now I just get to be baby hungry! Glad I have Kristy to let me hold Cohen whenever I am around!

My Photography!

So for those of you that know My sister-in-law Jessica and me, you know that we both want to go into photography!
Our ultimate dream is to live very close and own a photography business together! That way we both only work 3 days a week and still get to be stay at home mommies!
Jessica has already started a portfolio, but I haven't been able to get a good photography camera.
So I have taken some of the pictures that were taken with my little camera and tried out some editing!
Tell me what you think! I am still learning!

My Xander is 3!

I cannot believe that Alexander is 3! It just seems like he was my little bitty baby yesterday!
When he woke up he wanted Mickey Mouse pancakes!

So his awesome daddy made his pancakes for our whole little family!

Alexander and Skyler were eating them almost as quickly as they came of of the pan! =)

While we were eating breakfast Nana Pauline called and talked to Xander!
She even sang him happy birthday, which he LOVED!

Derek and Xander showing off their awesome pancakes.

That afternoon we went to the Dickerson Park Zoo. Xander loves the zoo.
Spenser and Janie, Spenser's mom, came to the Zoo with us.
Spenser was an Elder that served in Branson.
He came back for a visit and Xander just loves him!

Xander, Spenser and Spenser's cousin Atrayu, feeding the fish.

It had been rainig pretty much all day! So we kept getting wet, but we had so much fun.
Daddy and Xander at the Elephants.

Xander and "Penser" that's what he calls him.

Alexander wanted a picture with the tiger. Every time that we go to the Zoo the Tiger is hiding in the tall grass! So this was a moment for Xander. =)

Me and my boys. I love this hickers pack for Skyler! THANK YOU Smith family!

Skyler watching the Giraffe.

What a cute little poser.

Later that evening we had a birthday party! We were supposed to BBQ outside but it was still raining, so we moved the party into the front room!
We had Hot Dogs and Hamburgers and everyone brought something to share!
Then it was present time! =) YAY!

What do you get when you ahve a bunch of 1-3 year olds and a bunch of presents?
One kid is happy and the rest are crying and mad, because they want to open the presents too! =)

Xander got a Backyardigans puzzle and a book from "Unle Charno and Aunt Ashee"

Xander got playing cards from Nathan and Knowlton Ferguson!
He loves the Go Fish game!

Skyler absolutely loves Xanders YoYo & Hoops card that Pappa & Gigi gave Xander!
He opens it up and dances to it!

Xander got a baseball and mit from Pappa & Gigi!
He always wants to play catch!

As everyone sang Happy Birthday, Xander started to sing along. But as soon as the cake and candle came into view... He Blew it out!
We were all laughing so hard we could hardly finish the song!
