Adebayor is a major prick.
After finding the net with 10 minutes to go, the Togo international, 25, ran the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the visiting fans, evoking a furious reaction.
"The emotion took over me," admitted an apologetic Adebayor, who cost City £25m in the summer. "Now I just have to say sorry."
Adebayor escaped punishment following the Van Persie incident, although he was booked for his inflammatory goal celebration.1. He is not a professional. An emotional sportsman is not equivalent to a passionate sportmen and is not equivalent to a sporting man. He knew perfectly well what he was doing and the entire time he was running up that pitch, did he not even think for one second? If he didnt, then he is really rather brainless. If he did, then he is major asshole. Either way we're glad to be rid of him. Its so easy to do the deed and be 'apologetic' after.
2. I cannot be an unbiased party with regard to the Persie stamp but you think with such a character, he is capable of doing such a thing. After all, as he says, he is an emotional person. In that split second he thinks 'aha! my turn to get back at u!' You never know.
The thing that irks me the most out of this is that Man City has not lost. The best revenge/outcome is always to win. To show that he was stupid to have let go the chances he had at the club. It irks me even more that it shows that money can buy results and that Man City was different from Chelsea being that Chelsea had at least some kind of credentials to begin with. Man City on the other hand is made up of players who have left their own clubs willingly out of greed, where no other club wanted to them.
The world is not right. Money is the root of all evil. The sport is ruined. It isn't a matter of Arsenal losing - heck with a lineup with Diaby and Bendtner, what did u expect to get!? But that players get so caught up by the money aspect that the sport just loses its meaning, the reason they play it loses its meaning.
