Brycen

We r definitly the summer birthday family.... Our sweet Brycen turned 4!!!! What a wonderful addition he is to our family. Brycen the past four years with you have been so very special. We love you so very much and here are a few of the reasons why. 1. You have the biggest beautiful brown eyes ever! 2. That you don't mince words...you tell it like it is. 3. Your love for popcicles 4. Your smile that lights up a whole room. 5. His soft heart...that shines even when he is trying to be tough. 6. His love for his brother's 7. That he doesn't feel like the days complete unless he has rolled around in the mud. 8. He would drink rootbeer for every meal if his mom would let him 9. His desire to please his parents...and how hard he tries to do what's right. 10. How quick he is to forgive 11. How much he loves to share We love this little boy so very much. He brings such a special feeling to our home and has a little light inside him that shines brighter than ever. What lucky parents we are to have such an amazing spirit in our lives.

Kyler

I know that this is late but I wanted to share a little bit about my special boy. Kyler turned seven the end of June...holy cow! My baby is almost ready to be baptized. Where has the time gone????? Kyler is such a fun and amazing little spirit.... He is so full of life. Kyler here are a few things that we love and respect about you: 1. His love for adventure 2. His willingness to help whoever is in need 3. His soft heart 4. His interest in everything 5. His handsome smile (even thought he is missing three teeth in the front) 6. His never ending amount of energy 7. His desire to always try to do what's right 8. The love he shares with his brother's 9. His skinny little legs 10. How close he is to the spirit. Dane

It has been a year...My sweet little Dane has turned One. I am having a hard time believing how fast this year has gone and how big he has gotten. He has been such a blessing in our home and family. I thank my Father in Heaven daily for such a sweet little spirit. Here are a few things that we love about this amazing little boy: 1. His big brown eyes that sparkle whenever he smiles 2. A laugh that fills the whole room 3. His fat little legs and belly 4. The love he has for his brother's 5. His love of food...and how much this little boy can put away 6. That there is no such thing as a quiet voice 7. His independence 8. That he loves chocolate as much as his mother 9. The love and need he has for his mother 10. That he wants to do anything and everyhting that his brothers r doing 11. The scrunched up faces that he can make when he is mad We love you so much Dane!!!! How lucky we r as a family to have you share this life with us.

Let's catch up

Holy Cow it has been awhile since I posted....where should I begin? Life at the Stronks home this summer has been really fun..We have been able to keep ourselves very busy. In June we were trying to get into the groove of having the kids home and figuring out a good schedule. We celebrated Kyler's 7th bday, the boys spent a few days in Ashton with the Grandparents, started to use our waterpark passes, and our new home that we r building started at the end of the month. In July we celebrated Jesse's 32nd bday, drove to Redvale Colorado to visit my grandparents, and had a fun visit form Jesse's brother Jeff and his wife McKall. In August so far we have gone to Lagoon, took Jesse's dad to the Journey concert, celebrated my mom's 64th bday, the boys went back to Ashton for a few days with grandpa and grandma, and we are going to be celebrating Dane's big #1 bday, Byrcen's 4th bday, and start back to school. Weve also taken in some movies, swam swam swam, rode our bikes, taken fun walks to the new Maverick for treats, spent time with family, had BBQ'S, and fulfilled our church callings. I'm tired just thinking about it!!! We have been so truly blessed this summer and we have loved every minute.

Monster Truck Madness!

We spent our Spring Break in Vegas this year for the Monster truck Finals. The weather was beautiful and we all had a really great time!

My Bow Tie Boyz

What handsome boys I have! Tj and Jamie got married yesterday, and they had the little boys wear these cute little bow ties. I am one lucky mother to have such cute cute kids.

10 years

Jesse and I are coming up on Ten years of marriage....CAN YOU BELIEVE IT????? The time has gone by with a blink of an eye, but they have been the best ten years of my life.
The years have been full of many ups and downs, but I can say that we have witnessed our father in heavens hand in our lives each and every day that we have been together. Marriage is definitely one of the hardest things that you will ever have to do. There is never a time that you don't constantly have to keep working on it and it's something that never can be mastered, but it is one of the best things our Father in Heaven has given us and worth every bit of effort that is required to keep it alive.
Jesse is my strength, my protector, he is the very best Father to my three beautiful children, the Priesthood holder in our home, he is the beacon of truth that guides our family, and he is my very best friend. I am so thankful that my Father in Heaven placed me with a companion that is exactly what I need.

Room

If you are looking for a good book to read then this is one you should really consider. My mother was the one who recommend it to me, and I just recently finsihed it...It was a tear jerker! It's a story about a mother and a little boy that have been held captive for seven years in a very small room. It's told in the little boys point of view. It really made me stop and think about how lucky we really are. The trials and adversities that I am faced with each and everyday are small beans compared to what so many other people have to deal with in there life time. I am thankful to my Father in Heaven for all that he blesses me with each and everyday, and the trials that I have to endure, because I know that they will only make me stronger.

Dane was blessed on October 9th 2011. We are so thankful to all of our friends and family that came to help in this wonderful event. We sure do love this sweet little spirit.... Our family wouldn't be the same without him.

This summer was a little different for the kids because I was very very pregnant, so it was needless to say very uneventful. The boys were definitely troopers, but I know that it was hard for them because mom couldn't run and play with them and entertain them to there little hearts content.
After our sweet little Dane made his grand debut, and I started to feel some what normal I realized that summer was over, and it was very discouraging. I look forward to summer every year and I didn't want it to end without doing something fun with the kids. So Jesse and I took them to Salt Lake for the weekend and went to the Zoo and Lagoon with my Mom and Charlie.
We all had a really great time.... The weather was beautiful and it was a perfect time to go because the parks weren't crowded and they had everything decorated for Halloween. The boys were able to ride the rides over and over again until they were so tired they couldn't move. Jesse and I rode a few rides together while my parents watched the kids, but we are definitely getting older...because we were both sick after riding three or four rides.
Goodbye summer.....You will be missed very much!!!!!!

3 years old!

Brycen is no longer mommy's baby! We celebrated his third birthday last week when I got home from the hospital with Dane. It was really special for him I know, because Papa Teddy was able to be here for it, along with other family members who love and care about him very much. Brycen is such a sweet and caring little boy, and We are so lucky to have such an amazing spirit in our home. We look forward to many many more birthdays to come.

Dane Michael Stronks

Our sweet little bundle of joy is finally here!!! He was born on Tuesday Aug 16Th 2011 and weighed 8pounds 10.2 Oz and was 21.5 inches long. He is such a sweet little miracle for our family and we are so happy to have him.( Now lets see if I can keep my sanity while trying to figure out how to have three kids!)

Still as handsome as ever!

Kyler lost his very first tooth...I can't believe how fast time flies! The thought of having your tooth pulled out makes me squirm a little, but Kyler was so brave and sat very still while Jesse popped it out with some dental floss. Kyler was so excited that the Tooth Fairy was going to come and bring him something special so it was a little hard for him to go to sleep, but finally he did and with a little faith and magic the Tooth Fairy brought him a whole dollar!

Brycen walked around for the next couple of days telling everyone that his teeth were loose and that we needed to pull them out so the Tooth Fairy could come and bring him lots of money.

I think that my heart stopped!!!

Today Brycen and I were out running errands and he shut his hand in our automatic van door....I can still hear the screaming coming from such a little guy!!!!
Brycen likes to pull the leaver on the van door to close it after I get him buckled in his seat, because it helps him feel like he is a big boy.. He has done it a million times before, so I didn't think anything of it today. He some how got his hand caught in the back of the door right before it shut all of the way. I pulled on his little hand to see if I could get it loose at all, and it was stuck tight..and because the door hadn't shut all of the way it wouldn't open without a lot of effort. Finally I was able to get the door open and get his little hand out(It instantly turned black and blue and swelled HUGE!)

After I could get my heart started again I rushed him to Primary health to see if he needed x-rays (because there was no way that something wasn't smashed by the looks of his hand). He was so mad at me for taking him to the doctor! He was convinced that we were all out to get him and that our sole purpose was to cut off his hand. Finally I was able to calm him down by bribing him with a big band aid and lots of stickers. He some how walked out of there with a sucker in each hand too!

Thank Heavens that his little hand is OK...we have a lot of swelling and black and blue patches, but no Broken Bones!

The Verdict

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!
I guess I was official placed on this earth to raise Missionaries!!!! I will not say that I wasn't a little disappointed for a minute because I really wanted a Little girl, but I got over that very quickly and am looking forward to a sweet little boy with chubby cheeks. We will be welcoming DANE MICHEAL STRONKS into our home sometime in Aug!

What is it with bodily fluids at our house????

Today I walked into Brycen's room and spotted little dog poops all over the floor. I was thinking to myself I am going to kill that dog, but then I turned and looked at the wall... Brycen had picked up the poop and smeared it all over his wall. So the little nibblets that were left on the floor were just the left overs!!! I don't gross out very easily, but I was very sick!!!!

Potty time

Tonight I got Brycen out of the bath tub and told him to run in and pick out his Pj's from his bedroom. I didn't hear anything coming from the room, and we all know that that's bad news, so I look in and he is peeing on the floor right in the middle of the carpet. trying to stay as calm as possible I ask him what in the world he was doing, and he gave me the most Innocent look and said I had to go potty. I asked why he decided to do it right in the middle of the floor???? He said well that's what the dog does!

Babies, Babies, and more Babies!

Jesse and I are proud to announce that we will be adding a new member to our family the end of August. That will bring the Stronks clan total up to six when you include our little puppy friend....We will definitely have a full and happy home!
I will post more when I can take my head out of the toilet for a longer period of time.

Here is the newest member of our family....we don't get him until the first of Feb, because he has to stay with his momma until 10 weeks old, but we are still really excited to get him and have him join our little family.

Steve the Frog

While we were in Orlando the boys found a friend...STEVE!

Kyler was walking back to the room after a long day of fun and stumbled upon a green friend. I was amazed that he even spotted Steve, because it was so dark outside, but never underestimate the eye sight of a five year old. So of course we had to take him back to our room and get to know him a little better...EEEWWWW! I have to say that I think this was definitely one of the highest points of the trip for Brycen, when we had to set Steve free Brycen started to sob and it took him at least 10 min to calm down. The only thing that would calm him down was that Steve had to go home to his mom and take a nap....Steve had spent a long day at Disney too and was very sleepy.
