A Name And A Blessing

Thursday, February 17, 2011

We finally blessed Kade and gave him a name on Sunday. We named him after my dad, who is one of my heros in life. I pray that Kade will grow up to follow in my dad's example of integrity, faithfulness, obedience and charity. I'm thankful for all of the family that we have to support us. We really couldn't ask for more from either side. They all show us so much love and kindness. Our family is blessed.

I couldn't pick between all of the cute faces that Kade makes that I love to look at.

We finally took a picture with all of us together.

Steve's grandma is such a trooper for her 92 years. We were so glad that it worked out to have her here. And just look at Fred and Steve. I think Kade will look a whole lot like them a few years down the road.

There is my whole world!

And my boys!

Cabin Fever?

Monday, February 14, 2011

I know we'll regret these beautiful "spring" days we've been having in February when we can't build campfires this summer and there isn't an island at recapture, but if we're going to get them, I'm going to enjoy them. Saturday afternoon we took the chance to get out and get a little Vitamin D from the sun.

Kade was perfectly happy to go hiking!

Parker found more than a few rocks for his collection, but was talked down to just taking home two of them.

Bronsen hauled some big sticks around.

The boys always find some trees to beat down. Parker jumped on an old cedar tree and when the branch snapped he said, "I knew I was super strong!!"

It's nice to be able to get out and about so easily. One of the perks of living in this area!!
