You'll hate the snow

if you don't go have fun in it.

Saturday was what I consider a perfect day. A little work, a little play. In the morning, we got more shelving built in the mechanical room, we also folded and put away my mountain of clean laundry. So it was off to the 4th reservior for some play time. We planned on doing a little more sledding, but by the time we got around to it, Parker's hands were freezing. Sienna and Parker spent some time in the truck while Bronsen enjoyed Parker's new snowmobile sled.

Isn't that the cutest face ever? Look at those squishy cheeks. I've never had such a chubby baby and I'm loving it.

Bronsen was kind enough to pull Sienna around the lake on the sled.

We did some ice fishing. Parker reeled this one up. Sorry you can't see the fish better.

Steve caught the biggest catch of the day.

And I caught the most breathtaking sunset.

Perfect Day!

Big Days For The Boys

Thursday, January 6, 2011

Parker turned 5 this week. He was very, very excited. He is sure that he is stronger and tougher than he was when he was 4. He really milked the day for all it was worth. Everything he asked to do would end in, "because I'm the birthday boy". He started his morning with the traditional dollar bill taped to the bottom of his breakfast dish, then went to the dollar store to spend it, where he also got to pick a whole handful of bubble gum. Then he had a little dinosaur party with his closest friends and after dinner, another party with Grandpa and Grandma E., Grandma To The Farm, and Great Grandma Snyder. It was a pretty great day.

Yesterday Bronsen finally lost his first tooth. This is a day he has been looking forward to for the past two years. This tooth has been a little bit loose for the past couple of months. The permanent tooth was completely in behind his baby tooth (I forsee some orthodontics in his future) and that dang baby tooth just wouldn't wiggle out. Until yesterday. It was getting looser, and he was very brave and let mom just pop it out. He was rewarded when the tooth fairy brought him a dollar last night. He was sure to sleep a little lower on his pillow so the tooth fairy wouldn't have such a hard time.
