One Week Old!!

Sunday, November 28, 2010

For those friends who don't do facebook and who don't know yet, we had Kade last week. He's one week old now and adjusting to this crazy world quite well. His brothers love him and his sister will soon, once the jealousy eases up.

Oh Daddy!!

Sunday, August 1, 2010

I had quite the mystery going on after church today. Steve had to stay to a meeting, so I brought the kids home. One of the first things I found was chocolate ganoush spread all over everything.

This picture really doesn't do it justice. It was everywhere, the dark floors hide most of it. I was trying to figure out what in the world happened. Sienna was very naughty at church today and I thought, "Are you kidding me? Steve came home from sunday school and fell asleep while Sienna ran wild." Then I found her shoes.

Then I found the shirt Steve had originally worn to church in the laundry.

Then I realized that Sienna wasn't wearing her tights or shoes when I got her from priesthood. (Notice it smeared all over the freshly washed sheets of my bed)

Then I noticed she wasn't wearing her little sweater either.

After an hour or so of cleaning, I came into the den and noticed that Steve had all of his home teaching reports and things pulled out. So I thought, "Okay, maybe he wasn't just taking a nap." But I'm still not sure that I have to just forgive and forget because he was doing church stuff. I think extorsion is in order. Maybe a weeks worth of dishes or something . . .

Steve's defense was "Do you know how long it took her to do that? 2 Minutes." and then wanted sympathy for her making him late for priesthood. Oh Daddy. . .

Our Family Is Growing!!

Monday, July 26, 2010

Our family is growing so fast, I can't hardly keep up. This last week or so we got a pet fish. His name is Arthur. This is in response to the post 4th of July goldfish devistation.

Then Steve decided he couldn't turn down a good deal on a lab puppy. So we have yet another chocolate lab. I thought we had decided to wait until the yard and fence were in before we got another dog, but Steve just couldn't help himself. I had mentioned that Palmer's had puppies and we talked about whether or not we should get one. The next day after work Steve was in the den and I went in to talk about whether or not now was a good time to get a puppy. I started talking about yard, schedules, kids, on and on (as usual). When I stopped talking long enough to realize what Steve was doing. The "discussion" was over. He was in the middle of reading his book on how to train the best laborador hunting dog. So what could I do except say, "Go get the puppy." She is pretty cute for now though.

We also found out that we are expecting another baby boy. Steve and Parker were super excited to find out it was a boy. Parker because that meant he was right, which is all he cares about lately. And Steve because when this baby boy grows up, he'll get to be the one doing fun manly things with him. Either way, I'm just happy we're having one! I've never been so excited for Thanksgiving weekend in my life.

It doesn't get better than this!!

Thursday, July 22, 2010

Last week we took a family vacation to Pinetop, AZ. An obscure little town with not a lot to do except relax and enjoy the outdoors. We had even more fun than we planned on. We filled our time with fishing, swimming, hiking, swimming, bowling, swimming, reading, swimming, movies, swimming and overall just relaxing and spending time together.

Dirty Little Girl

Sunday, July 18, 2010

I knew with not having any grass that we'd be doing a lot of mud this summer. This little girl is so great at finding mud, puddles of water, anything to make her filthy. She started playing in this big mud puddle left from the boys the day before. Before long, her brothers jumped in to help.

She was so sad when I had to spray her off with the cold hose.

A Day At The Zoo

Monday, June 28, 2010

This last weekend we went to Denver for a wedding. The next day we took the kids to the zoo. It was a long, fun day.

Bronsen waited all day to see the seals.

We had promised the boys that on the way home we could hike Wilson's Arch. For Parker it was the best part of the whole trip.

Swimming At Grandma's

It's a good thing that Grandma lives close and has plenty of grass for all the kiddos. Maybe by next summer we can host a pool party in our own yard.
Kessia really likes the boys' goggles. What a cutie.
Look at that girlish figure!
It was a little cold at first.
I just think she's so adorable.

And to top it all off, grandma will have cherries here in a few days. No wonder all the kids love going there.

Memorial Day Weekend!

Thursday, June 10, 2010

So I'm finally getting around to Memorial Day weekend. We tried to do a big friends campout, but we must be pretty unpopular because nobody came. So then we told me family they might as well come up. We were really glad they did. I took so many pictures and had a hard time deciding which to post, here's a bunch.

On Saturday when it was just the 5 of us, we decided to hike to a waterfall that I had been to in highschool and never since. Well, we had a beautiful hike up the wrong canyon. I guess we were in Dry Wash canyon and the waterfall was in Allen canyon. So when our family showed up on Monday we all hiked it together. Colby and Haven even came up to do the hike with us. It was a little hard for the kids, but they were all troopers and all made it.
At the top.

Lucky for Steve and I, Sienna was taking a nap with my mom back at camp.

We even got cole up there for dinner and a round of "Big Budda" which I didnt' get any pictures of.

We played a game or two of washers.

Our campsite was so pretty.

The boys played baseball.

They also discovered the art of climbing trees.

Trying to take a family picture on Saturday's hike.

This was our first rest stop on Saturday's hike. It was a lot greener as we were following a river.
We wore the kids out, Saturday morning Sienna slept until almost 11 o'clock.

Parker's "Graduation"

Monday, May 24, 2010

Isn't it fun that in preschool you get to "graduate" every year, whether you are actually moving on to kindergarten or not? Parker sure thought so this year. He had a really fun year at Lana Lee's preschool and will miss all of his little buddies there.

Parker was so proud of himself the whole ceremony. He picked to sing the song "Little Bunny Foo Foo". I wasn't surprised that he picked to sing a song about bopping field mice on the head. That sort of a thing would totally appeal to him.
Parker with his teacher.
Steve felt really bad that he got stuck at work and couldn't make the graduation. Grandma Einerson also got stuck in Cresent Junction as couldn't make it. But mom was there.
His little class!

Nice work Parker, we are so proud of you!

The First Time Of The Year Is Always Exciting!

Monday, May 10, 2010

We took our first trip of the year to Lake Powell on Saturday. The bass fishing was supposed to be really hot for another week or so, but either it's not, or we are horrible fishermen. Steve, Travis and I all caught one fish a piece. But we still had a good time enjoying the warmer weather. The kids tried jumping in the lake. My boys only jumped in once, but they didn't think it was cold, they just didn't want to jump in again. Asia jumped in several times. She's a brave girl, the water was freezing. We can't wait to go back and try it again.
