Third Day Visit with The Forlinos

 Wednesday morning remained overcast and gray. It seems the weather will not cooperate for a good beach day. Nevertheless we persevered. After a morning of bug hunting in our backyard we drove to my childhood family favorite beach "Corona Del Mar". We searched for crabs, climbed the rocky cliffs and the kids had their time to build sand castles and play in the sand. Driving home on Pacific Coast Highway we stopped for a late afternoon lunch at Cappys Restaurant. Then home to recupe and relax as Sofia and her parents have a big day Thursday at Disneyland. Another wonderful family day in the books.

Day two with the Forlinos

 Tuesday we had a lot of laughs with the kids. Though it was drizzly (not a great beach day) we took them after lunch to Shoreline Village. There we had a ton of laughs at the arcade (their version of whack a mole was hilarious), various games and a Merry-go-round ride. Walked through the shops, bought candy at the candy store and took pictures with the cut out pirates and statues. Sofia put a coin in the fortune teller "Zoltar" . Her fortune was pretty accurate. Rocco did not like Zoltar. Daniele was working in the morning but he joined us for happy hour at the Crab Pot at the Los alamitos bay. Then we went on a stella the starfish search and were able to spot 16 Stellas! Sofia was especially great at this since she captured the first Stella last year here. Came home and the kids played until it was time for them to leave. Sofia stayed overnight with gramma and this morning grandpa made chocolate chip pancakes per her request. Let's hope the sun comes out today.
