Summer With The Monkeys

Hello everyone!

Delilah and I are honored to be invited to be members of the Floof and Fur group! We happen to be posting on the first day of Summer (which, coincidentally, is the current theme)

We're from Montreal, Canada and I'm (Samson) almost 3 years old and Delilah is 3. Mommy calls us The Monkeys.

It gets very cold at certain times of the year here. Having lots of floof is an asset in the Winter (even though we're strictly indoor cats) and our Mom appreciates the warmth we emit at night. But in the Summer, it's a whole other story and things can get pretty sticky.


I like to wear my floofy tuxedo all year long:




And Delilah can't escape her snow pants



As all you floofs and furries know, a good brushing is really important. I'm lucky because I love it. Delilah, on the other hand, does not!



We hope you're all staying cool this summer and remember, if it's too hot, try hanging out in the cool ceramic of the sink!

Fin At Housecat Confidential

Hello everyone! My name is Fin and I am an eleven year old lady cat. I live in the desert of Nevada with my human parents Daddy and Mommy (who is also my ghostwriter and blog slave).

This is my first post on Floof and Fur (Mommy can be such a slacker). It sure is nice to be here among all the other floofy cats. I thought I might make my first post here about the things that bind us - floof! Here are some interesting facts about my floof:

1. I was almost not chosen by my parents because of my long fur! Luckily I was completely irresistible!
2. I barely shed at all my first year, but I have made up for it later.
3. Many of my floof hairs have multi-color bands, Mommy calls them raccoon hairs.
4. Due to all my colors I'm able to successfully leave my mark on any color outfit.
5. I have long guard hairs and then very soft underfloof. I'm told I feel like mink.
6. My underfloof can get easily matted, so I have to be very vigilant against Alphalpha hairs (you know the ones, they stick straight out like arrows of grooming humiliation).
7. I refuse to let Mommy brush me, so I manage all this by myself - well pretty much.
8. My Floofy Friday posts are often the most visited, and not the ones Mommy slaves over. So funny!

Welcome to the New Look!

Hello, welcome to our Open House! Come in, come in. No, your in the right place, this is still Floof & Fur. It's the new and improved Floof & Fur!

In the past few months we have been going thru some changes, meeting new friends and having new adventures. We just thought that it was about time our bloggy had a change of its own to try and keep up with us.

We've got a brand new header. Doesn't it look classy, just like us? I think so too! Notice the lovely new colors. They are so easy to work with, now they will compliment almost every fur color you can imagine! We've got new sidebar tags for all our members to reflect the new color scheme. Just keeping it fresh like a new coat of paint. There are new updated graphics of every kind, just take a look at it all. Fantastic! That's all I can say.

I would like to personally thank the Zoolatry Human, Ann for all of her hard work to make our blog look so beautiful. She has been working hard for days to make this look so great. She is a blessing to us all and she never ceases to amaze me. Thank you Ann, thank you very much.
