SINTOK, March 25 — A pilot was killed when the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Pilatus PC-7 aircraft that he was flying crashed in the jungle near the Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) campus this morning.

An RMAF spokesman who confirmed the incident said there was only one pilot on board the aircraft, which was based in Kepala Batas.

He said the body had been airlifted from the scene by an RMAF helicopter. — Bernama

KUALA SELANGOR, 24 Mac — Sebuah pesawat ringan jenis Eagle terhempas di kawasan sawah blok R, Kampung Sawah Sempadan, Tanjung Karang dekat sini hari ini.

Juruterbang pelatih yang mengendalikan pesawat itu secara solo, Tengku Zamir Farhan Tengku Zahadi, 21, cedera dan kini dirawat di Hospital Tanjung Karang.

“Keadaannya dilapor stabil dan keluarganya telah dimaklumkan mengenai kejadian itu,” kata Ketua Polis Daerah Kuala Selangor Supt Mohd Taib Ahmad kepada pemberita di sini hari ini.

Beliau berkata kejadian pada pukul 4.30 petang itu berlaku ketika juruterbang pelatih terbabit dalam perjalanan balik selepas melakukan latihan penerbangan secara solo dari Integrated Aviation Academy di Ipoh, Perak ke Kapar, Klang, dekat sini.

Mohd Taib berkata Tengku Zamir, dari Kota Baharu, Kelantan mengalami kecederaan pada rahang mulut, tangan dan luka di muka.

Beliau berkata polis menerima panggilan kecemasan pada pukul 4.51 petang dan menghubungi Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat serta Jabatan Penerbangan Awam (DCA) bagi memaklumkan kejadian itu. — Bernama

GEORGE TOWN: A Malaysia Airlines (MAS) Boeing 737 from Singapore made an emergency landing at the Penang International Airport in Bayan Lepas near here Thursday afternoon.

MH674, carrying 83 passengers and seven crew members, was scheduled to land at 12.15pm but lifted out of its descent when a series of small explosions was heard from the right side of the plane, followed by flames.

According to passenger accounts, the pilot circled the airport once and managed to extinguish the flames before landing safely at about 12.30pm.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

Penang International Airport senior manager Abdul Wahab Mohd Yusof said the runway was closed for 20 minutes while the aircraft was towed to the bay.

“The runway was reopened at 12.50pm,” he said.

Hmm, today I would like to touch on Facebook a little bit, as I'm getting addicted to it day by day. Facebook, I can say as; the platform where people are keep connecting with their friends from all the parts in this world, and not to mention where people expressing their feeling and their thoughts, like what some people do on a blog. But, on Facebook, instead of about 2,3 posts in a day like what a blogger does, it can reach up to 10 posts of their status a day.

People; like me, I like to use Facebook as a platform that I can keep updated with my friend's status, and also to update my friends about what I've been doing all day long. I hope that's alright. Furthermore, with Facebook I can re-connect with my long lost friends, teachers, lecturers and also my instructor, I've made a number of friends from Facebook, hope it'll last forever.

Sometimes, I feel it's good on how you can appreciate your life. As example, once login in a Facebook, you can see various of status been updated on that day, telling about what they have been experiencing and what they are thinking on a particular things.

I myself, sometimes, posting a status where it is a kind of critiscm and advice, yes, the advice is for myself and also to the one who concern. BUT, while we keep complaining: this and that, how people are bad, how this can be fixed and so forth, we sometime mislook on our own bad, seriously.

Yes, I understand that you're not satisfied with certain things, and you own your Facebook page and you deserve to do whatever you want, BUT, please do look on your ownself, before look ing on others, don't simply throw it all away, we are matured enough (as I consider the Facebookers are).

This is an advice for myself and those who bump into this post :).

It’s been a very long time since I last updated about my progress, there have been a lot of things that took place in my life, one of them is realizing how I don’t even have a skill to fly.

On 23rd February 2010, I have finished all my ground school syllabus, and today the result for CAA2 exam is announced, really thankful to the god, I manage to pass both the subjects.

After finishing sitting for CAA2 exams, I have enjoyed a-11days-holiday. How did i spend it? hmmm, I'm afraid none of you can stand of how bored it was. But there was one of those days, I went to KUL on afternoon, and got back KBR on the late evening, there were jobs to be done, hmm.

After about 8 months since I last touched the aircraft, on 14th March, last Sunday, i continued flying. I did revision on (CND1) and (SNL), it was just half an hour, and it was good too, get to do the RT and the take-off. Ok that is a lie, it was very bad actually, I found some difficulties in doing what I have been practicing on the ground, such as the procedures and so on, my bad.

Yesterday, I did (CND2), where an exercise that expose you how to do base and final technique, this one worse than revision, haiyoyo, lucky the insttructor was in the good mood. I can’t even imagine myself being that instructor teaching a cadet who are like me;really sucks, haiyoyo. That was my first time went to Uban training are, hmm, quite a distance to reach the training area, took about 15minutes from WMKC.

I just had the Stall briefing, and will be continuing with Circuit briefing next week. So that hopefully all of us will be cleared for solo next months.

Can anybody tell me how a skill can be achieved?
