Met up with Hao & this was also considered sort of a mini celebration for my 21st.We happened to witness the world famous "Spiderman" in action. He was well-known for his climbing acts for climbing various buildings around the world illegally, without safety harness. This time round, we realised the next day through the news that he was invited by The Straits Times to scale one of the Suntec City towers.
I guess it's hard to spot him in this picture.
Anyway, dinner was at Azabu Sabo @ Marina Square.
Hao's Sabo Style Ramen ($11.80++). Tasted like normal instant noodle, he said.
My Sabo Style Teriyaki Chicken Set ($11.80++). Not too bad.
Desserts was Shira Kuri An ($9.80++) for him.
And Matcha Milkshake ($7.80++) for me.
After dinner was the highlight of the day - the much anticipated drinking session.
Our drinking hole for the night, Durty Nelly Irish Pub, also located at Marina Square.
The menu.
Our drinks.
Thanks, Hao, for the Singapore Sling.

The 21st celebration continues with Al, where we went to Tao's @ Paradiz Centre for our 7-course-dinner ($29.80++ per person).First up, their very-fake-sorbet. I've ate sorbet before, it's definitely not supposed to be like that!
Second, warm bread with mushroom & bacon gratin. Nice~ And the service from the staff is as warm as the bread, they are a real friendly bunch of people man :)
Salad. I choosed Ham & Spud Salad while Al had Fruit Salad. Eh even the salad is nice leh.
Al's choice of Fish Soup. Very interesting, having to pour it from a teapot into a small cup. I had Cream of Mushroom which I forgot to take a picture of.
Then came grilled mushroom. Best dish among the 7 because the mushroom is so soft & flavourful.
My choice of main - Oven Roasted Steak, cooked medium rare.
Al's Spicy Stingray. The staff is very nice, asking if Al wanted any Japanese Rice to go with her Stingray & it will be complimentary. But that zar bor act 淑女, said don't want, lol.
Drinks that came with the mains. Al had Ice Tropical Grapefruit Tea while I had Ice Apple Rose Tea. Ok, this is crazy but even the drinks were freaking nice lah.
Our desserts, Creme Brulee (mine) & Chocolate Fondue (Al's).
When we asked for the bill, the staff asked if we were full enough. If not, he can give us additional desserts, complimentary from them. Wah~~~ But we didn't take lah, quite full at that time. Everyone working there can really bla bla bla with you, machiam friends leh, lol.
So yep, we were very satisfied :)
But our mouth were itching for more desserts after walking for awhile, so we went to...
Ice Monster @ Plaza Singapura!
Yummy desserts at $5.50. I don't really like mango but this surprised me.
Lastly...
present from Al, a Nike running T-shirt & storage armband. Xie le! Much thanks to Mz for her handmade frame as well :)

Birthday celebration with the boys started with Th sms-ing me a word puzzel to solve, which will reveal the place where I'm supposed to meet them. Being a smart one as always, I solved it within a minute, easy feat~ Haha. The place was Essential Brew, which also marked my third time celebrating my 21st in Holland Village within a week. First one being Wala Wala with Tanglin peeps & second one with E at Monster Mash.
你们讲好的huh?!
With the very-hard-to-cut-cake.
With Kh.
With Th.
Us.
The presents: jigsaw puzzel, keychain & handmade cards.
With the jigsaw puzzel that they put together piece by piece with blood & tears (as said by them), a bit kua zhang lah, lol. Three dogs each representing one of us.
Machiam award presentation ceremony.
The boys.

Watched "Money No Enough 2" after dinner, quite funny but draggy.
So yep, thank you boys for the night & precious handmade presents. The stuff that your wrote in the cards are so cliche but ya, almost moved me to tears, haha. And of course, how could I forget the 独家 birthday songs that each of your sang in solo for me & only me? Lol. 谢了!

The day I turned 21 was a simple affair.Didn't go to work & pon lecture as well. Who wants to work/go school on their birthday anyway? Lol.
Slacked at home in the day, something that I didn't get to do for the longest time, then went to the gym, ran 6 km on the treadmill & did some tonning exercises. Went back home & waited for E to fetch me after his work.

Watched "The Mummy 3".
E's treat at Monster Mash @ Holland Village for dinner.
Monster Mash is a nice, cosy place. Been wanting to try it for a long time but has always been enchanted by Wala Wala in the end, lol.
We ate what they are good at, bangers & mash. Their mash is a real hit, best mash I've ever eaten so far. And don't be fooled by the pictures, it can be really filling. I couldn't even finish their mash.
Cadbury Flake & Strawberry Milkshake. Not bad.
Stayed there till the shop closed & this ended my first day as a 21-year-old lao zar bor.
Would like to thank Dad & Xiao Shen for the Ang Paos, Mum for the Adidas jacket & Nike sandals, Bro for the Esprit bag, Noorma for the chocolates & E for the treat & great company. And of course, to every single one of you whom wished me personally or via smses, Facebook & Friendster, lol.
Thank you all so much :)

My 21st with the Tanglin peeps was held in joint with Mz, at Wala Wala in Holland Village. Before Wala Wala was dinner at nearby Olio. The rest were all late, so we started exploring Holland Village & do tourist-y things like taking pictures on the streets. We came in matching colour leh, lol. Hey we didn't arrange for that, really!
Mz & I choosed this place because we like the band there.
And of course, another reason is that the drinks there are quite cheap compare to other pubs. Especially so as they have a lot of 1-for-1 promotion, wahaha.

The very delicious & pretty cupcakes baked specially by Cindy. With cute candles.
Drinking kakis!
Some random pictures...

What happened? Lol.

They got me Air Zoom Victory+, the latest lightweight running shoes from Nike. By the way I've ran in it for quite a few times already, it really rocks.

Mz got a Longchamp bag which can be small...

or big.

The people.

Thanks, people, for the great present & coming that night.
Thanks, Sy & Fio, for going down to the shop personally to get the present. Really appreciate it.
Thanks, Cindy, for the effort & time in baking the yummy cupcakes for us.
