Read from the papers that Bakerzin had a new system of dessert called Tapas, which is a variety of high-end dessert in miniature size. Thus, you can enjoy more types of dessert while not paying too much & not having to worry that you can’t finish it.Tried these two (ok, I forgot the names, lol) & I seriously like the one on the right. Very nice! The taste of vallina is very strong & the amount is just right. Not so for the one on the left though, I don't taste anything special.
By the way, just eat the cakes or dessert in Bakerzin. Their ice-blended coffee is going to disappoint you because it’s totally tasteless. Look nice only.

This place is my family’s favourite hangout – Red Star Restaurant. They have aunties to push cart & cart of dim sum around. Stop one if you want any dim sum on their cart. Very traditional.

Besides the fun of stopping aunties, their dim sum is really, really nice! I don’t mind eating it everyday. Even their "kai wei cai" is freaking nice, I can finish three plates on my own. But beware…they have many supporters, so prepare to wait during weekends or public holidays. They are opposite Outram Secondary School, around Bukit Ho Swee area I think.

Anyone knows my favourite food is french fries? Fell in love with this Chili Cheese Fries ($3.90) from Superdog. Of course, the Cheese Fries from KFC or Billy Bomber is still the best :)

A good way to pamper yourself is by going to Giraffe. Went there with friends a few days ago & I totally fell in love with that place. Giraffe is a two-storey glasshouse, located in the middle of Istana Park (opposite Plaza Singapura). The ambience there is excellent, with it situating in town but away from the bustling crowds, while greenery & water surrounds the place. The moment you enter the building, you won’t feel like you’re in Singapore.
Not to mention, they have great service too, which made our night an unforgettable one. I believe they underwent high quality standard training. Somehow, they managed to read our minds & served us the right thing at the right time. You will feel very welcome by their smile.
When serving the food, they first assemble a mini table beside yours, put the dishes onto the mini table, serve it to you one by one, disassemble the mini table & then retreat. Their action was very fast, the whole process was done within 8 seconds & zoom, they are gone. I wanted to ask for an extra plate, only to realize they are gone when I turned my head. But one of them brought the plate soon after without me asking. I told you they can read our minds!
As for the food, sad to say it’s rated quite average. The steak ($26++) is tough & leaves a bad after-chewing feeling in your mouth. The spicy spaghetti ($14++) is quite bland while the Thai chicken sticks with peanut paste ($8.90++) taste dull. We had the Lava Choc Cake ($9++) for dessert. All food were served in XXL sized plate.
In any case, I’ll still go back to Giraffe for its ambience & service because just based on these two is enough to make the visit worthwhile. They have a different menu for lunch & dinner; maybe I should try the lunch menu or just have a dessert & drink to chill out the next time. It is also recommended to make a reservation with them, especially during weekends. Almost all the tables have a reserved sign on them the night we came, luckily we reserved too. Kudos to their ambience & service :)

Each player of this game starts off by giving 6 weird things about themselves. People who get tagged need to write in a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state the rules clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names.1) I love chocolate. I love ice-cream. But I hate chocolate ice-cream. I think it's one of the weirdest food creation in this world.
2) Food is very important to me. If I don't get to eat when I'm hungry, I'll get edgy. If I ate food which I think is not nice, I'll get pissed because it has wasted a portion of my stomach space for good food.
3) I have short-term memory which happens once in a while. For example, I'll forget whether I have shampooed my hair or not while bathing. Or that when I called my friend & when he/she answered, I'll forget why the hell I called them for. Or that when I walked to the kitchen from my room, I'll forget what I want to do.
4) I'm quite a paranoid in terms of tidiness & organization. I kept a certain arrangement in my room & if someone (esp my maid) failed to put the thing back to where it was (even by 1cm), I won't be able to stand it. I'll move it back to where it was.
5) I have very extreme personalities. I can be very loud, hyper, childish & be the leader of the pack. But there are times when I'll be very quiet, serious, mature & just want to go with the flow.
6) As my dad had nose cancer (for 13, 14 years already), all thanks to the second-hand smoke he had to breathe in during work (he has changed job since then), I've this hatred for smokers & became very sensitive to the smell. I don't literally hate them but I'll stay far. I don't understand why people smokes. It's not only bad to your health but to others too, you can also save the earth & lots of money by not smoking. I know I have no business in people smoking but be considerate can? I told off two very inconsiderate smokers before. I guess I'll be beaten up someday too, Yw, lol.
I tag: erm whoever wants to do just do ba...yay~

Just had my last papers 5 days ago (holiday now, haha), so didn't blog for the past month. Shall have food review again. This time round is on 2 Japanese cafe/restaurant. By the way, I'm learning Japanese language now leh, lol.I know it's very disgusting of me to take a picture of them behind their back, but neither my friend nor I want to take them from the front, scully they think they are some superstar or what then hao lian, lol. Anyway you won't want to see the front cos that night we went, only 1 out of the 3 maids look up to standard. Not I want to say ar, but we really feel that their service is not of satisfactory too. We expect super good service in Japanese cafes, but Cosafe doesn't even meet the standard service that a normal cafe should have. One of the maids even step onto my shoes & walk away -_- When we leave, there isn't even a smile or "sayonara" from them.
One of their more popular dish, Japanese Curry Rice ($18.80++). Taste ok but my friend think the portion is a bit small.
Hawaiian pizza ($14.80++). Taste average too. All in all, the service ain't good at all, very disappointed in that. The food are actually ok, but since they are located in Chjimes (food is expensive leh), they should do better. But to be fair to them, maybe I should try their signature dish - Baby Rib the next time, provided if I'm going there again, which is unlikely.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another review is on Ajiteh, which is located at Bugis Junction. This place is definitely better than Cosafe because the food there is better, cheaper & their service is superb...very friendly & helpful. One of the waiters told me they provide free green tea, kept asking me to drink that. Maybe I have a look which desire free stuff, lol.
The food there is really, really nice. More special dish is the cheese tofu, I don't know what cheese is that but don't care lah, just try it, it has a very creamy & sweet taste. Nice! The ice-cream's good too, very strong flavour of tea. I'll definitely go back to this place :)
