Yeah...it's finally over. I hereby officially announce that YJ Guitar Ensemble clinched the Silver Award for Guitar SYF 2005. Our goal is to get Gold with Honours, if not Gold, so everyone was sad once the results were out. It's definitely not bad for the first time though, not forgetting that we are a new ensemble that really practiced together for less than 6 months. We have worked hard.

TJ got Gold with Honours, people said it's kelong one..I think so too, hahaha. I mean...they don't play that well, and they broke the rules. How could a guitar ensemble play together with cello, drums and some weird instruments? Like that call band le ma, I heard more of the drums than guitar playing, it drowns the whole thing. Don't say I sour grapes k, cos my instructors and his pro friends said that too. SYF judges weird weird de, they doesn't seem to appreciate real classical playing :X

Aiya, I don't want to say anymore. Don't mistaken me for being very angry or upset, I'm not! In fact, I'm happy and am taking things easy. We don't care how others judge us, as long as our teachers, instructor and we, ourselves know what we are made up of. To me, we are the winners...and it's my greatest pride to be a part of YJ Guitar Ensemble :)

Once after the 10th May performace, we gonna stepped down le. I'll definitely miss everyone of your and our times together, practicing and talking cock, haha. It's kind of weird that there's no practice anymore, felt an emptiness within me, like something's missing. For 2 weeks, we will always eat dinner and go home together after the practices everyday, everyday leh!!! Thinking back, it's been 2 weeks since I last ate at home. So everything seem a little bit weird for me, like a part of me is gone, haha. Aiya...I'm starting to miss YJ Guitar Ensemble peeps already...and it's only 1 day that we didn't meet up together for practice.

Well, don't forget our plan ya? The best finale which ends everything. The show is not over yet! Haha :)

Went for the SYF rehersal at Singapore Conference Hall (SCH) yesterday. Met up with Yen, Qilin & Marissa first and did a little shopping for our dear birthday boy :) We ended up taking Neoprints somehow and soon the guys came to meet up with us for dinner. Ate Pizza Hut for dinner, and yeah...all of us in black, caught a lot of attention, haha.

We were enjoying ourselves so much that we were late for half an hour to meet up the rest who missed the dinner. Quickly went to SCH and had our rehersal. After the rehersal, it's fun time!!!!! Haha...all of us went to the hall outside and took many, many, many photos. If I'm not wrong, we took a total of more than 250 photos, how scary is that? Haha...and we were shouting and talking so loudly, not mentioning our college's choir is having their turn to reherse at that time. My friends who were in the choir told me that we were damn loud, haha!

All of us went to Lau Pat Sa after that and the teachers treated us ice-kachang! So nice of them~~ And all of us gossip the whole night, big gossip! Haha...had so much fun today. SYF's on this coming Thursday, really busy with all the guitar practices. Very, very tired, but I'm enjoying every second of it :)

Been really busy with guitar practices everyday, which ended at 7-8pm daily. It used to be 3 times a week, but since the Guitar SYF competition is nearing, we decided to practice everyday from this week on. Everyday leh! Including Sunday too, we are going to the Singapore Conference Hall this Sunday for full dress rehersal, and it's at night. Tedious may it be, but...don't know why, I'm really enjoying every single second while we are together as an ensemble. I guess this CCA is one which I enjoyed the most, haha. YJC Guitar Ensemble rocks! So unlike of me right? Always so anti-CCA one, like what Eugene said, YJC Guitar Ensemble is really one of the best things that happened to me.

We performed in school today during the lunchtime concert, played the two SYF songs. We did quite well, what will we get for SYF? Gold with Honours? Gold? Silver? Bronze? COP? Choy choy! Haha...of course we wanted the very first award - Gold with Honours, see le also will drool loh, lolx. But people said that we just set up less than a year, so we should not hope much. I beg to differ though, who says a young ensemble cannot get Gold award? Anyway we just hope for the best, namoahmitohfu.

Our dress code for the SYF is black long-sleeves shirt, black pants, black shoes, black socks and a tie, which, the colour depends on which section we are in. Mine's silver, cool huh? Haha. We are meeting up for a shopping trip-cum-dinner before we go for the rehersal at the Conference Hall, together with our guitars! So, if anyone of you saw a bunch of "black" individuals walking around near Orchard area with their guitars, highly possible that it is us, haha.

Shall sign off now, gotta rush my tutorials now. I'm so lagged behind lectures now, don't know what are all the lecturers talking about. As for homework, it's piling up like Mount Everest now, lolx. There are tests tommorrow and Friday too! Must pia liao! Bye!
