Some times I wonder what direction I am taking my life in.It would be so simple to follow the advice of every hedonist. Study hard, get credentials, get a job, work your ass off and live comfortably. It does not even matter that economics will never advance the human race to a higher level of technology or awareness.
I abhor the concept of currency.
Anyway God,
I wonder why You do not smite certain cities which are full of vice and oppression like you did in the Old Testament. I preferred You that way, handing out Justice and Punishment where You deemed fit. It would be easier to believe in You instead of all this talk of Mercy and Forgiveness to transgressors. See us all, wasting your gift of life on frivolities and trivialities. We spend our time not in constant prayer and worship. No, we spend our time seeking pleasures and self-gratification. We shop for goods, we surf the net, we work for money, we watch the television, we distract ourselves from the Divine. Obviously the Devil has won us over. We take for Your good nature for granted. We take advantage of this mercy-system. Bring back the justice-system. Smite us down now so that the next generation might learn and believe. Let us be a lesson for all to learn.
Amen.
Then we would all find a common direction and not scatter off.

What is guilt?Today my friend asked me this question. I thought about it.
Guilt is a feeling of remorse and regret, and should not be confused with fear. Guilt and fear are separate. When one commits an offense, guilt is the reaction of the conscience. We feel sorry for our actions. Fear is the reaction of the rational mind. We begin to dread the consequences of our actions.
When one is caught and tried successfully for the offense, our fears become reality. We feel sorry that we could not escape, but were discovered and punished. Is this apologetic nature the same as guilt? No, because it is not the conscience responding here. Instead, this would be frustration.
If you want to cheat, do not get caught.
Without a conscience, one can only feel fear and frustration. Fear of the effects or repercussions of our iniquities and frustration that we could not evade or avoid them.
Because only our conscience can teach us to treasure the feelings of others. We think less of ourselves and become selfless. When we breach the seal of trust, we are affected because our conscience tells us that we are wrong to have troubled the other. This feeling of being wrong, is guilt.

My two friends and I went out yesterday to catch up over lunch. Our topics ranged from our plans for the near future to personal achievements.
Anyway, we also talked about how society today idolizes the individual. Media glorifies lone wolves. I began to ponder over this issue and saw truth in it. Every one thinks that being independent is cool and hip. No one cares about teamwork anymore. They feel they can do a better job alone, and that others will mess things up instead.
I suppose, I seem to be falling into this archetype...
I have to watch myself.

The personal message my friend has for his messenger goes like this: Life is a maze and love is a riddle. So I thought it was quite strange until inspiration struck me.
Life is a maze where the only way out is via the dead end.
Love is a riddle where the answer must be provided by someone else.
As an afterthought, another friend has this for his nick:
Bacteria are the only culture some people have.

Which came first, the chicken or the egg?Do we make choices, or do choices make us?
I suppose choices came first. Except the choices was not ours. Our first few choices were not made by us, but by our parents or guardians. They started the whole ball rolling. So is our destiny predetermined? One choice leads to another.
Anyway on a side note I dislike it when people insinuate that I am smarter in some way or another. Fuck that. What do you want me to tell you? Yea I am really smart and you are a dumb shit?
