Impasse

Nineteen minutes left me feeling perplexed. How did such a hierachy system form? Is it self-inflicted? Who is at fault? I haven't felt so depressed after reading a book since a long time.

Have you ever had the feeling of being stuck in the middle? Like when your teacher tells you to speak up and your parents tell you to speak less, listen more so you make less mistakes. Both are conflicting values which somehow makes sense. Then if so, which one should you follow? There are other instances when you feel like you are on a see-saw, tipping from one end to the next and trying to strike a balance. I suppose you have to find your own answers but not lose yourself in the way.

hero!

went to watch hero with sophia on mon since she's going to japan the next day. i have never watched the tv series before... but since there's takuya kimura, i didn't think it would be a waste of money. hurhur.

and it wasn't! the humour was quite strange in a way but it was still funny! i think we laughed at some parts (er hem, squid thief) which were not supposed to be funny. lee byung hyun was featured on the movie poster alongside the leads but he only only appeared for a measly 5 minutes! what a waste!

i couldn't resist watching the tv series after that. haha... i think the tv series is nicer.

the next day, i went out with my mom and sis to bugis for shopping! brought quite alot of stuff... when we were at the bus stop, i saw this person wearing this familiar outfit (something which i seemed to have seen yesterday). how come there's this person who looks like sophia in bugis when she is suppose to be in japan??? HAHAHA it turned out to be sophia after all cos she hasn't left yet. hahha... what a coincidence since we met up the day before.

argh! i want to go japan too.

taiwan!

yep, i m back from taiwan!!!! which was fun fun fun! we started from kaohsiung and travelled north. we had to pack our lugguge every day to move to a new hotel. the only place we stayed for more than 1 day was taipei. haha... from our hotel window in taipei, we could see the taipei xiao ju dan where all the concerts are held! how cool is that? and there was this sc girl in my tour group (but we don't know each other), and i saw this girl who looks familiar in shilin and i realised that she is from sc too! er... but i don't know her name:P

my favourite part was of course the hot spring:DDD what more to enjoy it when it was 10 plus degrees. you are supposed to slap on the mud which apparently does wonders to your skin! hahaha...wish there's one in sg (i don't mean the sembawang one though).

the landscape there mostly consisted of mountains and more mountains. the green range of mountains was beautiful. i saw some old people climbing yang ming shan in the morning and it made me think: if i lived there, i could go for a hike in the mountains once in a while after my retirement! lol. fat hope. i will just make do with bukit timah hill.

we had night market food almost every night. i have to admit their food's quite overated in a sense, but it is nice nevertheless. the hao da ji pai at shilin was yummy:D the stuff they sell in the night market was quite cheap too. i brought 2 belts for $5! it could have cost twice as much in sg. oh yah, we bought quite a lot of food home and unfortunately i think they have dwindled in the past week. i don't want to know how many "sunny pies" and muah chee i ate:P

anyway, i think i am going to slack the whole of dec away since there wouldn't be much time for me to find work:( oh well, at least i can enjoy while i can before the next year begins -horrors-
