Memorial Day 2014

The Cornett's came over to celebrate Memorial day with us this year.  It is always so much fun hanging out with them.  The kids get along beautifully...and always have a blast!!  We barbecued, swam in the kiddie pool, and had some good ol' fashion fun on the slip in slide!!!

9 Years

9 Years ago, I said "I Do" to this man.  It was a beautiful day...surrounded by the people we love.  A lot has happened in the past 9 years...our marriage couldn't be better, we couldn't be more in love, we couldn't be happier!  We have created an amazing life together...I know the rest of our lives will be just as awesome as the last 9 years.
We spent the evening in Laguna Beach to celebrate our anniversary!  My favorite guy, a beautiful sunset, wine, and yummy food...the perfect evening!!

 Happy Anniversary, my Love.

Mother's Day 2014

I may get overwhelmed.  I may get frustrated.  I may feel like my days are spent cleaning their messes, breaking up fights, stopping the arguments, and nagging.  But guess what...my days are also filled with amazement and gratitude.  I am so blessed to be the Mommy to FOUR amazing children.  Four blessings that God gave to me.  I am lucky to spend my days with them...to teach them, care for them, love them, and grow with them.

They absolutely spoiled me on Mother's day.  A purse, mani/pedi, flowers, and my favorite of all...homemade gifts that their teachers took the time to create with them.

Yep, I'm one lucky Mommy!!!

Look How They've Grown!!!

Just look how much they have grown in one school year!!

End of School Happenings

Since Mackenzi's birthday falls during summer vacation, her teacher let her have a "unbirthday" party at school.  We brought donuts for the class and she was thrilled to have her classmates sing to her!

The school also had Twins Day at school.  Quinn and his two buddies dressed like triplets.  Mackenzi and some of her sweet friends dressed like Quads.  Jace and his buddy dressed up like twins too...but I didn't get a picture of that! :(

The boys had an end of the year performance.  They sang lots of songs about children being their own kind of special!  The boys were so cute.  They sang their hearts out and enjoyed every minute of it!!

Quinn and Mrs. Brase

Jace & Mrs. Conley

Mackenzi had an awards assembly.  She received two awards, one for grades and one for citizenship.

And just like that, the 2013-2014 school year was over.  All three did an amazing job.  They all worked so hard this year.  Their grades are outstanding.  Jace and Quinn can add and subtract, write, and read.  Mackenzi has learned cursive and multiplication.  I cannot believe that this year is already over.  All three teachers were amazing this year.  Not only did they teach them academically, but they encouraged them to be helpful, loving, caring, and overall good people.  I could not have asked for a better year!!!

I made this print as a gift for Mackenzi's teacher...but I love the saying.  All three teachers definitely "encouraged their minds to think, hands to create, and hearts to love!".

Kindy 500

The kindergarden classes hold a "Kindy 500" each year.  The kids have to create a cardboard box car to drive in the Kindy 500.  There were some AMAZING cars.  I seriously do not know how these parents make these cars.  Some were so big that the poor kids could even wear them because they were too heavy.  Jace chose a fire truck and Quinn chose a police car.  The boys had lots of fun helping Mommy and Daddy create their cars.  They had even more fun at school with all the activities on this day.

They had a parade around the school to show off their cars to the other students.

There was a bit of a pile up as the parade started!

The kinder yard was all set up with fun activities.
There was a car wash...

A Starbucks (where they were served chocolate milk)...

A repair shop...

And a Department of Kindy Vehicles (D.K.V.) where they had to do a driving test, parking test, and a vision test.
