Grandma and Grandpa's Christmas visit

They finally made it here. After months of planning and preparing. We picked Grandma and Grandpa up at the airport. Our first day with them was a busy one. We went to breakfast at the Cracker Barrel, then headed up to Nashville to see the sights.

We spent a lot of the day walking through the Country Music Hall of Fame in downtown nashville. P.S. yes Daniel is in a wheel chair because of his knees that bother him when he has to walk a lot. We called him little old man in that chair.
We ended the day with a carriage ride around Nashville, with cups of hot cocoa to keep our hands warm.

Grandma Maxine & Grandpa Gordie's 35th wedding anniversary

I took Grandma and Grandpa to the Grand ole Opry show. This picture is on the real stage of the Rymun aditorium and they are holding real guitars. I slipped a piece of paper to the usher of the show and on the Radio they announced that it was there anniversary. George Hamilton the IV told them congradulations. Right before Eddy Raven came out to sing " I've got Mexico" It was great.

The Louise Mandrell concert

Grandma and I went to the Grand ole opry hotel and saw Louise Mandrell in concert. They fed us a lovely meal while we watched her Christmas performance. We enjoyed every minute of it, especially when we got to get our picture taken with her and have her give us her autograph.

Merry Christmas

What a wonderful day we had today at church. Our primary theme this year has been on becoming eternal families. Our primary presidency wanted to do something special for the children this year. They took the children into the Nashville Temple during sharing time today. The temple is right next door to our ward building. Being in the primary I got to go over with them. President Sager and his wife invited us into the waiting area of the temple. They spoke to the children and the spirit felt so wonderful. At the end he asked that the children will each touch the temple as they walk out and that the grown ups touch it with both hands. Because sometimes we need to hold the temple spirit to help us in our lives. We sang for our closing song. I Love to touch the temple. Adding touch in place of see. They gave each of the children a picture of the temple as they left. It was a nice happy day.

Lindsay's trip to Japan

Lindsay just got back from his field exercise in Japan. It was really cold he said and they spent all day and night in a tent. He brought back a few things as souveniers to us at home. This first picture is of him by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He and about 20 other soilders were able to attend the Sunday meetings. Luckily the speaker spoke great english and was able to translate his talk for the American's to understand.

Sometimes what we say sounds different to other people. This is how they hear the word Toilet.

Lindsay thought this looked like Mr. Meagies house from the Karate Kid.

Happy Thanksgiving

We are so blessed
I am so glad to have my sister closer to me. Thanks for visiting Sis, have fun with Ben today on Thanksgiving. Love ya lots.

Aidan got a CAR?

While Heidi, Aidan, and Kennedy were up visiting, Heidi got this car bed from a lady who lives by us. We brought it to our house and put it in the garage. Daniel and Aidan played in it for a while out there. The next day we packed it into our car and drove it to her house in Alabama.
Sadie ran out and hoped in. She stayed there for about 15 minutes while we finished getting everything else in Heidi's car. She didn't want to be left behind.
Our first pit stop. The boys loved the rocket.
Remember this was Daniel's favorite toy. He got it about the same age as Kennedy is in this picture. He loved that he could play it with her. She loved to have him play with her.
It was fun to spend the night in Alabama.

Updating our Fish Tank

Our fish tank is doing a lot better. We finally have found someone who can help us keep our tank water healthy. The water is very hard down here in TN so we had to buy a UV light to put in the tank. It still looks a little cloudy but the water is healthy and after we do another water change in 3 weeks it should be more clear.
Daniel chose our first fish Dr. Calico so Cameron chose this fish. He named him Darth Vader. Don't you think that is a perfect name?
They liked each other from the very beginning. I think Calico is glad to have a friend in the big tank. Then we got this pirate skelton. The bubbles make his bones move so it looks like he is a live and stirring the boat. We are going to get a sunken pirate ship to go in the tank as well.

Quick trip to Alabama

Heidi and Ben moved to Alabama. Makayla, my Mom and I drove 6 hours to help Heidi unpack a little. They live on the Ft. Rucker base in a nice 3 bedroom house. With a fenced in back yard, and a park right across the street. The best part was the sidewalks on every street, we miss that here in Tennessee, no sidewalks anywhere.
Heidi and Ben had done a lot before we got there. We helped hang her curtains in her kids rooms and put some pictures on the walls. Makayla took care of Aidan the whole time. So when it was time to go he didn't want her too. Luckily we will see them for Thanksgiving in a few weeks.

Nana's visit to Nashville

Our Nana came out to visit for three weeks. She was here 20 years ago visiting her friend Kathy, when they lived in Franklin, Tennessee . She was amazed at how different everything looks. Lots and Lots more houses than 20 years ago. This picture was by the LP football stadium where the Tennessee Titans play.

11 years ago today

We had our first date. Lindsay took me to a play at the Heritage theatre in Perry, Utah. It was a scary play called, "Wait until Dark". Now 11 years later we are dressing up and taking our cute 3 kids around trick or treating in Tennessee. Whooed of thunk!!!

Our new fish

This is Calico, our new fancy goldfish. We are getting our fish tank to balance out so that we can add some fish to it. Calico is our first one.

Grand Ole Opry

Heidi and I went to Nashville to the Grand Ole Opry. We heard some great country music and saw Martina Mcbride. We had a great time together.

Our 1st visiters

Heidi and Ben came from New York. They are moving to Fort Rucker Alabama. They spent a few days with us. We celebrated Aidan's 3rd birthday. We went bowling.
Daniel and Aidan became great friends. They played "Wake Up Jeff" from the Wiggles all day long.

Makayla received a Reading award

After the first quarter of school, Makayla was given an award for her outstanding reading. We are so proud of her. We laugh when we catch her reading in her bed instead of sleeping. Lindsay says that is exactly what he did all the time.

Visiting Deanna & Scott Ober's family

The kids and I drove to Dayton, Ohio to visit Lindsay's sister's family. It was a very short visit, but so worth it. We had so much fun getting to know each other a little better.
Makayla and Jana just loved having another girl to spend time with. They both have only brothers to play with.
Anthony was just a baby the last time we saw him, and now he is a little toddler. He was so cute and Deanna's little shadow. He really reminded me how Brian was at his age.
The boys are so tall and getting really smart. We are so glad to have family close by. I promised the kids we would go back soon!

Fall Break

Well the kids have a few days off for Fall break. Lindsay has to work all weekend so the kids and I are driving up to visit Deanna's family in Ohio. It's about 6 hours away so the kids will have plenty of electronic time with their DS and Dvd player. We will get a more up to date family photo while we are there too. Talk to you soon.

Making carmeled apples

We felt wild and adventures one day so I bought the stuff to make Carmeled apples. It was a fun night of gooie carmel and sprinkles everywhere.

We decorated for Halloween and found the costumes so the kids had to try them all on to decide what they want to be.

We have a Fence

Even though it rained all week we still were able to put up our new fence. It really adds character to our backyard. We love it but most of all Sadie loves it.
Now we just need to build the shed and we can get the rest of the stuff out of the garage.
