Today was the celebration for Xinli, Samuel, and Kim Wee's birthday. Firstly, 05S5B wishes all 3 of them a very wonderful birthday, and best of luck for all future endeavours ahead!
Had dinner at swensens, special thanks to the $100 dollar voucher that Xin Li won for the class. It was really nice of him to share it with the entire class, although we didn't help out at all. After that, went to some multi storey carpark at bishan to cut cake, and took some pictures. Enjoyable and memorable =)
Mrs Lim was telling me the other day during 'MSLO', (samuel and sally was around) that the poster design competition was supposed to be a class effort and asked why is it that Xin Li was eventually the only one doing it. She also mentioned that even if the final product wasn't nice, it's the class effort that really counts. A close-to-perfect product as a result of one person, will definitely not outshine the class effort if we were to do it together. It suddenly dawned on me that i was a failure as a CT Rep, cuz I didn't take the initiative to start the work together as a class, and instead have the mindset of 'If Xinli enjoys doing it, why not?'
And back to the Mrs Lim incident, I as a CT Rep wasn't even capable of bringing the class together to actually discuss about it. You were the one who made everything happen Xinli. You were the one who created the improved relationship that we have now with Mrs Lim, and you should definitely be proud of your doings. I truly appreciate all that you have done for the class, and i'm sure every one else feels the same.
I would also want to use this time to mention something. Xinli, you will definitely be missed in class. You may not seem like a significant figure when we're together, but without you, i'm sure every one of us in s5b will feel a sense of emptiness. I recall the times in school when you would use your digital camera to take snap shots of the class, and now, u have upgraded that small digital camera to a ermm.. huge black proffesional one. I havent seen enough of it, i believe so for the rest, so u'd better make it for class outings and make sure we seen enough of the huge black proffesional looking thing!
You have left your footprints in all of us s5b's hearts. And we definitely hope we left ours in urs too. I cannot describe the sadness that i felt in me when i first heard of the news that 'that day' was the last day you will be spending with the class. And i definitely won't hide the fact that i really did drop a tear. and i will not be embarassed about this, for this is evidence that you have been a true friend to me, whether you realize it or not.
I won't forget the times spent together in class, outings, PROJECT WORK. Those are bitter sweet memories that i will cherish.
Ah shux, this is supposed to be a HAPPY BIRTHDAY POST for Xinli, Samuel and KimWee. ANYWAY, 05s5b once again wishes all 3 of them a very happy birthday!
and from all of us s5b to Xinli: you will definitely be part of the s5b family, and all the best to you. Fight for what you believe in. Your dreams will be reality soon enough, prove it to us! We love you loads man. Take care.
