In my last post, i talked about upgrading myself by taking various technical courses. Somehow this evolve into a thought of a totally different career path.

Firstly, it was being a durian farmer. 

Secondly, being a high tech fish farmer.

Thirdly, being a crab farmer. The most probable of the 3 options.

Revisit this forgotten blog to track some of my latest thoughts and target.

Boy....my last entry was 2nd July 2012, almost 7 years has passed! It seemed like my younger self is talking to me when i was reading some of my older posts -  struggling in school, struggling in CCA politics, struggling in my young career 😂. Part of growing up yea?

2nd Half of 2012 @ 8:39 PM

Wooooo! Almost half a year since my 2012 Resolution post! Haha.

Euro 2012 has come to a conclusion. And the team that made history for 3 consecutive major tournament triumphs - SPAIN! Italy was blown apart in the finals - a 4-0 demolition. Not that Italy played badly, Spain was just class apart! They would still be the team to beat in the next 4 years.

And of course, i was back to my old self for the month - visiting SG pools every other day. LOL. For the first time, I had positive return! Hahaha. About a 40% return from the war chest i set aside at the start. And my defining moment was the Germany-Italy match. Hehe. And finally, i can return to my normal life routine of not having to wake up at 2.45am! (at least for the next 3 months before UCL starts again. =p)

A little update on myself prior to my previous post:

Health
1. Shed some fats
Target: 70-72kg with lesser excessive stomach fats.
Now: I think i have slim a little. Should be 73kg now.

2. Participate in Marathon
Target: Participate in Sundown 21km, Army Half Marathon and eventually StandChart 42km!
Now: Participated in Sundown 21km. Pressured to sign up for StandChart 42km x.x Sign up for some random 10km run also. Should be giving Army Half Marathon a miss.

3. Pass IPPT
Target: Achieve Silver in IPPT
Now: Did nothing to achieve this yet. >.<

Personal Well-Being
1. 1 Trekking trip per quarterly
Target: Go for a trekking trip once every quarter
Now: Ermmm. Went for a slack Cameron trip so far.

2. SOCCER
Target: Soccer Session once every 3 weeks
Now: Got it going in June. Booked the 3rd session already which is in 3 weeks time =)

Wealth
1. Accumulate Wealth (Of course)
Target: Save $5000 by end of 2012
Now: Looks bleak though manage to reduce my debt. Should clear my debt by end of year. That's the only positive.

Career
1. Promotion to Senior
Target: Senior Executive in 2013 Q1
Now: Still Clueless but think I should get a higher pay (who doesn't). Haha

Sideline
1. Breeding L46
Looks like they are not quite ready to mate yet. Nevertheless, I would be housing the bigger ones in a seperate breeding tank.

2012 Resolution @ 8:59 PM

Time flew past without warning. I had graduated for almost 2 years which also means I'm in the workforce for nearly the same period of time. Gone were the days of climbing mountains, playing dota, playing soccer/basketball...

Today marks the 5th day into 2012. Of course, being the first post of the year, I shall start with my 2012 Resolution! Forget about recapping for 2011, I shall look forward to 2012.

2012 Resolution

Health
1. Shed some fats
Currently standing at 75kg, a 10kg increase ever since i started work and never looked back. Well, I don't exactly look fat except for my rounder face and bigger stomach bulge.
Target: 70-72kg with lesser excessive stomach fats.

2. Participate in Marathon
I have yet to run further than 15km my whole life (i think) and definitely yet to join a marathon.
Target: Participate in Sundown 21km, Army Half Marathon and eventually StandChart 42km!

3. Pass IPPT
Ok. Gone were the days of natural fitness. Passing IPPT now is about putting in effort to train. I should be able to achieve this via the above 2 outcome. Let me set a slightly audacious target (might seem easy for most people but definitely not easy for me now) .
Target: Achieve Silver in IPPT

Personal Well-Being
1. 1 Trekking trip per quarterly
I used to enjoy it during uni days with my bunch of ODAC friends. Nowadays, it seemed harder and harder to get company, or rather too lazy to organise. "Is possible that we trek into our sixties?"
Target: Go for a trekking trip once every quarter

2. SOCCER
Something I missed playing so much. This seemed even tougher to organise than trekking. As part of healthy living, let me try to get it going by March.
Target: Soccer Session once every 3 weeks

Wealth
1. Accumulate Wealth (Of course)
Study Loan had taken a toll on me. Even after working for 1.5years, my bank account is almost empty. Let me use the most traditional way to accumulate wealth: SAVINGS
Target: Save $5000 by end of 2012

Career
1. Promotion to Senior Executive in 2013 Q1
The most important aspect to man except family. Though i'm still clueless what lies ahead of my career, I shall aim for the next level in early 2013 in my current job.
Target: Senior Executive in 2013 Q1

Sideline
1. Breeding L46
They have been with me for half a year. I don't expect myself to be a guru by the end of 2012. But definitely, I do hope to breed my first batch in the upcoming months. They are still not ready for now. Let's wait and see 6 months later. No target set.

I shall review the targets set today at the end of the year 31 Dec 2012! (Which might be my next entry. HAHAHA)

First Day of Work (After Reservists) @ 1:22 PM

It felt like i've been away for a long time. It felt quite different when i stepped into office today. Things seemed familiar yet distant. The 2 weeks had been physically tiring yet mentally relaxing. And I'm back to this mentally and physically tiring place again.

Nightmare @ 12:08 PM

I had not have this kind of nightmare in a loooonnnnng time.

I dreamt that i had a geography exam(of all exams, GEOGRAPHY!) soon, like in matters of hours? And i was still playing some PS games with a friend (I don't know what game and with who). I was not prepared for exam yet. I did not memorise any facts and i was still quite yaya papaya about it, thinking that i can smoke my way through.

And 2 hours before exam, i started to panick. I'm going to fail an exam AGAIN!

And then.....I woke up. (Anti-climax, i know.) This was almost exactly what happening in real life when i was schooling (minus the part playing with friends. I only self-destruct, but dont destroy my friends).

Why am I having such nightmare at this stage of life, when there is no more exams?!?

Is it a depict of stress???

Sick Week @ 1:47 PM

Had been sick for the past few days. It evolved from sore throat last saturday to flu and fever. The flu bout is still bugging me. OT till late again last night. Feels terrible especially when your health is down.

Look forward to the end of work today! Can't wait to get out of office.
