Mama's Got a New Doo!

So a few weeks ago I decided that the hair had to go. I opted for a short hairstyle being that my hair has pretty much been the same style/length since high school. How sad is that? My hair has been falling out since Adrie turned 3 months old and was very frizzy and unmanagable. So I was ready for a change. My first reactions were Conan is going to leave me, I look like my mom (not a bad thing) and it just isn't me. I didn't leave the salon crying however. I figured of coarse it isn't me I don't look like I'm in high school anymore. In that way I am relieved to have a new doo. Hope you all like it. Now I just have to figure out how to fix it with all these layers. PS. Conan didn't leave, he just said, "It's okay....you can always grow it out". :)

Adrie Loves Barney!

Every morning Adrie loves to sit in her boppie and play with her toys while she watches Barney. That is every morning she is home with me. This is nice because it gives me time to make myself breakfast and get ready for the day. She is too funny when she watches it. It is the only kids show that gets her attention.

My Daddy and Me

Adrie loves her daddy sooooo much. They have become quite the twosome. I love watching the two of them together. So much fun. Last night Adrie was wired to the max and was awake until 9:30pm so we decided to take some pics. I wanted to blog pics of the two of them because she looks so much like him. She is starting to come into her own and looking like Adrie.

Cereal Time

Adrie is still getting the hang of eating cereal. We have given it to her every day for one week and are now starting to give it to her twice a day. She likes it, but prefers her thumb. She has to be in the mood for cereal. Not to sleepy, not too hungry. It's been challenging to get her to open her mouth for the spoon while fighting to keep her thumb out of her mouth. She'll learn.

Adrie is starting to hold herself up on her hands and looks like she may start to crawl soon. With Conan's help probably sooner than later.

My Day With Daddy

Conan took some time to snap some cute shots of Adrie playing yesterday. It's funny to see him with her after I've been working for a couple of days. Their bond keeps growing stronger and stronger. Such a daddy's little girl. And she has him wrapped so so tight around her little finger. It's so cute to watch these two together.

So So Suck Your Toe...

So apparently Adrie does something new just about every day. She is now sucking her toes. Not too long ago she wasn't flexible enough to get her feet up to her mouth. She is too funny. It is now such a challenge to change her diaper because you have to fight to keep those toes out of her mouth.

California Girl

Today we had fun in the sun while we celebrated London's Birthday (6 Days Early). Adrie wore her new swim suit from her Grandma Carol and kept her matching hat on for most of the day. She is starting to get used to the pool and loves to splash. What a fun girl she is. Happy early birthday lundi bug hope you love going to see Shrek the third with Mommy and Daddy (complements of the Fisher's:). We love you.

Good-Bye Gummy Grin......Hello Teeth!

Yes...it is true. Adrie has her first teeth in. She has been working on these since she was about three and a half months old. They are hard to see, but just know that they are in and very sharp. I dread the day when.....well that may be too much info, but I bet you can guess what I am trying to say. OUCH!! My friend Michelle noticed them yesterday at a girly get together when Adrie gave her a cheezy grin. Good eye Michelle. When I told Conan he was kinda sad. He was like, "she's not a baby anymore". Poor Conan, he loves his baby girl so much. We'll both miss that gummy grin.

Fussy Eater

Adrie has been eating oatmeal cereal for almost one week now and sometimes she gets too hungry and impatient during feedings. She fussed through the entire bowl of oatmeal. Between bites she would suck on her thumb. I still thought this video was too cute even though she is fussing so loud.

Mommy's Big Helper

Adrie was "helping" me with the laundry last night and I thought it would be a cute photo op. What a ham.

Tub 'n' Toys

What a noisy girl. I had to tape her, she was cracking me up. Conan came in and thought it was too noisy so he had to leave. She does have quiet tub toys, but what is the fun in that? Oh, yes and you'll notice that she went potty in the tub. I didn't realize you could see it on the video, but I watched it after I posted it and you totally can oops.

New Things

Today Adrie tried out her booster seat and loved it. After she played for a while I let her try her sippy cup. She just chewed on it at first, but eventually got it. I also introduced her to oatmeal cereal. She loved it. Hopefully she continues to eat it, wish me luck.

Sleeping Cutie

How cute is she? She is such a good baby. Janelle and I were talking last night about how you wouldn't even be able to tell that she was a cranky newborn. She is so fun now. She even puts herself to bed. This morning she was so good while Conan and I shopped at Walmart. We got home and she was ready to eat and take a nap. After she ate I layed her down and she plunked her thumb in her mouth cozied up to her blanky and was out. What a sweetie pie.

Grandpa's Girls

Okay, so today I've spent so much time on photoshop working on projects. Here is my father-in=law's birthday/father's day gift. Hopefully he doesn't see this early. I printed out an 8x10 and am planning on sending it in a frame. For those of you who don't know the pics on the left are Adrie (Obviously), the middle are Maddi and Kristin (Conan's sister), and to the right is Megan and Curtis (Conan's brother). I sure hope it turns out well and that it brings a smile to his face. Carol, if you see this, don't show Steve;-).

New Header

So Conan bought me Photoshop for Mother's Day. Yeah!! So I tried to make a header and this is what it turned into. Good thing I have pics of Adrie on it, otherwise it wouldn't be too cute. They'll get cuter I am sure as soon as I figure out how to use the program. Of course I was on the phone with Janelle through the entire thing and she had to come and post it on my blog for me. Thanks friend. She's totally used to it! Hope you all like it.

Happy Mother's Day

What a special day today was. My very first mother's day. I am so proud to be Adrie's mommy. She is getting to be such a big girl and is truely a joy to be around. She learns new things everyday and is such a happy girl. Try as I might I can not imagine life before Adrie. What a huge blessing it is to be a mommy. I love you A. Oh, and happy mother's day mom and mom Fisher. We love you very much. Thanks for all you do and for bringing Conan and I into this world.

5 Month Chair Pic

She is getting crazy big. She no longer needs the brown pillow to be proped up in the chair. She can just sit there on her own. What a big girl. Soon she'll be so big she'll have to sit with little lambie on her lap.

I Love My Thumb!

Adrie has become quite the thumb sucker. She loves her left thumb and is crazy about her silky blanket. She is also in love with her Elmo doll. I almost gave him away as a regift because I don't have the room, but am glad I kept him because he is her favorite. She loves to hold him by his blanky and suck her thumb. Too cute. I am loving it because she now is content puting herself to sleep and there are times at night that she'll wake up and just plunk her thumb in her mouth and fall back to sleep. Thank heavens for her little thumb.

Splish Splash

Adrie's favorite time of night is bath time. She is now big enough to sit up in the tub....with mom close by of course. She loves to splash the water with her hands and play with her new bath toys. She would stay in there all night if I let her. By the time I make her get out she is all pruned. I enjoy bathing her like this because she seems to get less water in her ears. Yeah!! What a fun girl she is.

How cute is this. She loves it when we sing itsy bitsy spider to her. She always giggles and of course, we giggle too.

Where's Adrie?

Adrie does the cutest things. She is getting to be so fun. We love to sit around and make her smile and giggle. What a special little girl. We are so blessed.

Here are some pics of Tristan at prom with her boyfriend Kasey. For those of you who don't know Tristan let me tell you a few things about her. She is 17 years old and when she was about 3 1/2 I started babysitting her (I was 10). She was the sweetest little girl ever and loved to play barbies, princesses, and had such a great imagination. I cried when she got old enough that she wouldn't let me fix her hair or pick out her clothes anymore. I think maybe that was before she turned 4. Yes, she is very independent and is a girl who knows what she wants. She loves to read and is extremely smart. From the time she was little she has always dreamed of going to college. Yale, Harvard, Stanford to name just a few. She always has a big smile on her face and always willing to give out lots of lovies when she sees you. She has always seemed so care free and loves to be with friends. I can't believe she is so grown up and so beautiful. This girl means the world to me and I am so proud that she is who she is. Though she nearly gave me an ulcer while I was pregnant by starting to take an interest in boys.....I have learned to trust her judgement and am actually quite fond of her new boyfriend Kasey. He's a good kid and I can tell how much he cares about her. This goes without saying Kasey that I will take you down in or out of the ring if you hurt her (He's a fighter...or was).
