This weekend Richard fed 700 kids!! Our church had a Quad Stake YM/YW Volunteer Activity. They went door to door in North West Fresno and collected food and monetary donations for the Fresno Food Bank. They did really good and were even featured on the news. People were so impressed that these kids took their Saturday to serve others!
There were activities later and the Fresno North Stake Center for all 700 kids. It was crazy and I have never seen that many kids before. It was like a teenager convention!! I thought it was just my teenagers that act stupid all the time, but it is not! THEY ALL DO IT!! Total shocker!
Richard said all the kids were fed in about 15 minutes! That is amazing! I still have a few gallons of leftover sauce in my refridgerator, so we will be have lasagna, some time this week.
I cooked another roast for dinner last night and it was pretty dang good, if I do say so myself!!
I was released from the primary a few weeks ago, so I missed being in the primary program. Now I expect to get asked to speak in sacrament. I will probably throw up! My new calling is Activity Day Leader!! Awesome!!
The kids did a great job. Bishop Pauline, chose to recognize all the past and present primary workers at the end of the program. He cracked a joke that they were looking for some new primary workers that had never done it before. Everyone laughed. It was funny. Christopher said his line and then when it was Amberlin's turn, she started Christopher's line, stopped and did hers. People laughed! Yes, us Fisher's are overachievers, NOT!!
During second hour I go with Richard to Gospel Principles class with Richard. He teaches the new members and the investigators. I like the class. After class, I had to drag Danity to class. I told her I would. She goes with Rebecca to class now. It is the younger group, but at least she is going to primary! Next week I promised her a large cookie!! I had better get working on that!!
I am making a bunch of Cricut style signs on tiles to put up in a shop to sell. I am also taking some items and making seasonal signs that can be sold together or seperate. My skills are getting better. I should start posting pictures of my signs so people can see them!
So what have you been up to?!?!
Take your time!
Take your time and see what we do. I love to post stories, lyrics, videos, pictures, etc. Anything that I think someone else would like to read. I vent and I rant, but it is all in good fun!

Kaitlyn's new look
Monday afternoon I get a call from a strange cell phone number. I answer it and I have ReAnna, who has no phone etiquette apparently asking me who is this. Then I get told Kaitlyn has had a bike accident. I start thinking crud, she fell off her bike and is pulling an Olivia. Olivia is ReAnna's friend that comes up with every way possible to try to get out of riding her bike to school. Then the paramedic gets on the phone and tells me she has broken her tooth and to know surprise to me, Kaitlyn crying like she is being murdered in the background.
I get there and she is in the back of the ambulance with a bandage on her knee, crying for all she is worth. So I had to do the tough love and get her to stand up and show the paramedics that she is not dying.
After talking to her, she was riding her bike and not paying attention, turned to look at something and took her handbars with her, resulting with her going over the top of her handbars.
She broke her tooth and scrapped up her knee. Got her home and within an hour, she was running around in the backyard with her siblings and the dogs. So pretty much she is fine. One of her teachers at school, said she rushed right in to show her the broken tooth.

Treasure
I heard a story on the radio this morning and it really made me think.
William Hearst, the owner of many papers and Hearst Castle, collected art treasures from all around the world. One day he heard about a great treasure, so he sent one of his agents to Europe to find it for him. The agent searched everywhere, and eventually he found it. It was already in Hearst's warehouse.
What I get out of the story is that God gives us many treasures, some we see and some we can not. We need to truly look inside ourselves to find all the treasures he has given us. They are right there for us to find.
What treasure have you been looking for that you can't find?

The story of Riley's birth.
I know this has been a long time coming, but she is very high maintaince so there was no time to write.
I was scheduled for my c section on March 28th. The night before I was having contractions and it was very uncomfortable. So here I was nervous about the next day and have contractions. Eventually I fell asleep and the contractions stopped.
The morning of March 28th, I was nervous and extremely hungry!! My procedure was scheduled for noon and I was not allowed to eat or take my insulin that morning. Richard took some last minute poses of my stomach so we can show Riley when she is older.
Anne met us at the hospital and was allowed to go with us and wait in my labor and delivery room for us. It took awhile for the nurses to get the IV in because I was a little dehydrated from not being able to drink anything. I was poked like four times before Mary was able to get the IV in. They strapped on a monitor and Riley kicked it constantly.
At about 12:15 I was walked, yes walked into the operating room. I sat on the table and I got my spinal block. Richard was not allowed in during that time, so my nurse Mary took very good care of me. She helped me get through the intitial pain of the needle in my back. Once the tingling started, I was laid down and the wires were hooked up. The anesthiologist took my blood pressure and all the good stuff. In a few moments, Richard was at my side holding my hand. The anesthiologist told Richard they were getting ready to cut because they pinched me really hard and I did not react to it.
Soon I was moving all over and shaking and getting pushed on. I felt like I was on a roller coast. It is very hard to explain, but it was very scary at the time.
At 12:51 Riley Pearl Fisher was born. When she cried, we cried. For the first time I was able to hear my baby cry. I missed out on Rebecca and ReAnna's because I had emergency c sections and was knocked completely out!
Mary brought her over to us so we could see her after they weighed her. She was 6 pounds 2 ounces, she looked so small. She was definitely not the big baby we were expecting.
Then we got an even bigger surprise. She had managed to somehow tie two knots in her umbilical cord right on top of each other! Not to mention the cord was wrapped around her neck, her waist and across her abdomen. Plus her head was under my pelvic bone and they had to pull out with suction.
We both believe that God played a huge part in her delivery. She may not have made it if we had to wait or had her natural. He intervened and helped her to survive. It is miracles like that, that help grow my faith stronger and stronger.

Back at Work
Well here I am back at work and so not loving it! I wish I was still at home with my baby girl in my arms sleeping. My company said I had to come back a month early or they were going to cut off my benefits. Not nice. So here I am with pictures of my baby and no baby to hold. Crying seems to a large part of my day at work now.
