My baby shower was awesome! I got some very cute clothes for Riley and alot of other really cool stuff. Richard was most excited about the diaper bag and Leap Frog Puppy. I got a very very cute outfit that is a onesie with a frog on it saying I love to laugh with a green with white polka dot jacket and dark blue pants (Thank you Becky Florence) and a tie blanket of Frogs (Thank you Karen and Lauren Reid), plus ALOT of other really cute stuff and a bunch of necessities. The Comstocks got me a really cute NB dress with pink leggings and monkey pajamas. Need to keep all the monkey stuff from Rebecca.
The games were hilarious! There was a diapering contest and Monica won! She is the heavy weight champion of diapering babies with 11 children!! Then they did the pacifier game and Joyce won! I may never let her near any of Riley's pacifiers! :) Then there was the baby bottle drinking contest and that was hilarious. I guess babies have that talent down pat! As adults they could not even empty the bottle! I laughed so hard!!
Richard made 5 individual 8 inch round cakes! The top one was my favorite! White cake with lemon filling! Yummy! He also made chicken wraps for all the attendees at the shower! It was great!! There was sherbert punch and various chips and dips and veggies.
Anne Arnold and Mary Robinson did an excellent job! It was the best baby shower ever thrown in my honor! There were lots of friends that were unable to make it and they were very much missed! I hope to see them when Riley is born or shortly afterwards! You know who you are!

Gestational Diabetes it is
Well I guess my passing all my glucose tests with Rebecca and ReAnna is over. 34 weeks and I have to eat at certain times, check my blood 4x a day and eat certain things every meal. :) Fun? I think not! It seems like too much work! Though there are some bonuses, like I can eat all the veggies, fat and protien I want. So that is a bonus, everything else I need to measure out.
I am thinking that the total 5 pounds I gained during this pregnancy will probably drop off with the measured food and walking 20 minutes a day. If I lose more then no worries, I have enough weight from before the pregnancy to keep Riley sustained for 6 more weeks. Though I am thinking she will be here the last week of March. :)
I got the call on my birthday, so that was my present from my dr's office. Happy happy joy joy! But at least Richard sent me an awesome pot of orchids and got me the new Samsung Galaxy S II phone! My friend Anne got me a bunch of froggie stuff! So the other gifts certainly made up for the cruddy one I got from the doctor!

Confusion
Richard and I went to Buy Buy Baby, where I have my baby registry, to get a mattress for our crib. Plus we wanted to check out the travel system and pack n play we have picked out. We are going to purchase those here in the next few weeks. I just can not ask people to buy me stuff that expensive for Riley, not even my family!
So we were trying to find the travel system that we picked out and found out that they had sold the floor model but they had one in the back if we wanted it. Then the store manager, I think she was anyways, came over and started telling us why we did not want that system. Yes, I said, did not want. She said that travel systems are horrible and bad for babies and Baby Trend was crap. Her words! Here is my question, if it is crap why are you selling it?!?!? She then proceeds to try to upsell us a Chicco travel system, yes the thing she said is bad for baby, for $350!! I think not! I am still getting the one I picked out, no matter what she says! I like it and it has handles that for taller people work great!
Then she sent us over to the mattresses with her mattress expert and she tried to sell us a $350 mattress!! My mattress was only $600 and it is a Cal King!! She would not even show us their cheapest mattress that was $119!! Then we hinted that we were going to go to Walmart and get the $79 one and she said I wouldn't put any baby on that. WHY?!?! Kmart was a staple for me when Rebecca and ReAnna were born! Strange how things have changed! So we went to Babies R Us and got the mattress I wanted for $129 with a 20% off coupon!
Needless to say I have a registry at Buy Buy Baby, but I am going to avoid asking for opinions from their employees from this day forward! I do have a small registry at Babies R Us, but that is for alot of frog stuff and stuff I can not find at Buy Buy Baby! Yes her theme is frogs, but her colors are lavender, yellow and of course pink!! I can't wait to rearrange our room so I can put her crib next to my side of the bed and decorate her wall! YEAH!!

News
On Thursday a good friend from work suffered an aneurism. He is still in the hospital and now has pneumonia. He is a great guy. Why does bad things always happen to good people? I never understood that. He underwent surgery and it was successful but now they are having complications. Fever, infection, etc. Please pray for him.
We are still deciding what to do, but it looks like we may have to close the cafe. The shop that we are in is looking at possibly having to close their doors. Their sales are down 30% and it started in December! Sales for Christmas was horrible!! We are praying about what to do and fasted on Sunday as a family about it. Richard and I are looking at going to the temple for a session to get some divine intervention.
I have 8 weeks left and hopefully after this Friday I will know when Riley will be here! :) Personally she can not get here soon enough, but she needs to "cook" a little longer! My shower is February 25th and I hope to see alot of my friends there. My office friends are throwing me a shower the first week of March! Still very nervous about being the center of attention and opening gifts in front of people. :(
