For Tana, my very dear and missed friend

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag

Drifting throught the wind

Wanting to start again

Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin

Like a house of cards

One blow from caving in

Do you ever feel already buried deep

Six feet under scream

But no one seems to hear a thing

Do you know that there's still a chance for you

Cause there's a spark in you

You just gotta ignite the light

And let it shine

Just own the night

Like the Fourth of July

Cause baby you're a firework

Come on show 'em what you're worth

Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"

As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you're a firework

Come on let your colors burst

Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"

You're gunna leave 'em fallin' down-own-own

You don't have to feel like a waste of space

You're original, cannot be replaced

If you only knew what the future holds

After a hurricane comes a rainbow

Maybe you're reason why all the doors are closed

So you could open one that leads you to the perfect road

Like a lightning bolt, your heart will blow

And when it's time, you'll know

You just gotta ignite the light

And let it shine

Just own the night

Like the Fourth of July

Cause baby you're a firework

Come on show 'em what you're worth

Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"

As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you're a firework

Come on let your colors burst

Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"

You're gonna leave 'em all in awe-awe-awe"

Boom, boom, boom

Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon

It's always been inside of you, you, you

And now it's time to let it through

Cause baby you're a firework

Come on show 'em what your worth

Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"

As you shoot across the sky-y-y
Baby you're a firework

Come on slet your colors burst

Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"

You're gonna leave 'em all in awe-awe-awe

Boom, boom, boom

Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon

Boom, boom, boom

Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon

Everytime I hear this song, I think of my friend TANA!  Don't ever let anyone change who you are!  You and you family are perfect just the way you are!  You are unique, fun, eccentric and caring!    Show the world who you are and NEVER be ashamed of who you are.  I love everything about you!  Miss you lots and lots and lots and lots!!

Fireworks!!

It's that time of year again!  Independence Day!

Let Freedom ring, let the white dove sing

Let the whole world know that today is a

Day of reckoning

Let the weak be strong, let the right be wrong

Roll the stone away, Let the guilty pay, It's

Independence Day!

I love that song!!  I love the movie Independence Day also!  I love Will Smith in that movie!  He is awesome!
Richard's parent group, The Clovis Parent Fundraising Group, is again running the TNT Fireworks booth at Minnewawa and Bullard in the Save Mart Shopping Center Parking Lot!  And I am the head chair!  YEAH!  My only problem is getting people to fill the shifts!  I really hope my workers come through and save me yet again!!

We will be working almost the entire fourth of July at the Fireworks Booth and then we will be more then likely having a BBQ!  (Insert something funny Tana would say)  Probably sprinklers in the backyard and water balloons.  These are the times I wish we had our own home with a pool!  Swimming is always a fun activity for the fourth and the summer!!   I hope we are able to buy some fireworks this year and set them off in front of our house!!   What are your plans for the fourth?

Remember to buy your fireworks from our booth!!  Minnewawa and Bullard!  Benefits Rebecca and her friends at Buchanan!!

Week Off!

This past week I took a few days off and I spent it cleaning and organizing the red room and garage.   Plus I threw a baby shower for my teaching companion and that turned out great!!

In our house there is an extra living room that we regularly use as a tv room for the kids.  We ended up taking the TV in that room and putting it in our room and putting our tv into Rebecca's room.  The Red Room is now the pantry/craft room.  We have two shelves in there with alot of food storage on it.  Our plan is to add three more shelves and turn it into our three month supply pantry.  The other half of the room is our craft room.  We took the shelving from the garage and put it into the house.  When we are done, there will be room for Richard's Jewelry crafts, my cricut, sewing machine and soon my embrodery machine.  The cabinets will be filled with everything needed for any craft we decide to do.  We are getting two more shelves just for craft supplies and stuff.  Plus two new tables and lights.  :)  I can't wait for it to be done!

With the extra room in the garage we are turning it into a wood shop.  I use a lot of wood in my cricut crafts, so making the garage into a wood shop is beneficial for myself and Richard.

Other good news!  I am getting a booth at Palace Courtyard to sell my cricut signs, crocheted items and washcloth bunnies!  YEAH!!  I will let you know when it is open!!

Our garden is going crazy!  We keep getting monster squash and our watermelons are growing like weeds!  Our project tonight is weeding the fast growing weeds through out the garden.  Not fun!!

I threw a baby shower for my teaching companion and I really hope she had fun and enjoyed herself.

I miss my friends this week, but I know they are doing something that is very important and one day soon they will be back in Fresno and we will be hanging out and having dinner and playing ball in the backyard!!  Miss you Lindley Family!  I miss the way you talk ninety mile a minute, your hugs, the way you move constantly, your testimonies, your family, the funny stories, the way you play with my kids, your picture taking, Austin's funny things he says about eating, Phu's way just jumping in there and helping, the kitties, well pretty much everything!  You are counted among our family.  You are the sister I always wanted and the friend I need to help me to learn to trust again.  I can't wait to see you again!  Love you Tana, James, Phu and Austin!  And Nia, even though I have never met you, I love you!

Cub Scout Camp!!

Well today starts the first day of Cub Scout Day Camp!  My poor children have to eat my cooking the rest of this week!   Christopher is the only one of my children that will survive the possible onset of food poisoning. Not that my intention is to give my children food poisoning, but with my cooking skills it is a strong possiblity.  I just never got into the whole cooking thing, never had a flair for it. Strange thing though I love to eat!  Therefore you would think I could cook, but unfortunately I grew up with a mother that's idea of cooking was pretty much burning it beyond recognition.

Though my intake of ash was pretty high at one point, especially during BBQ season at my house as a kids.  It wasn't until I went to a friends house that I learned that hamburgers are suppose to be moist and yummy, not doubling a frisbees like the ones my mother made.

I was totally amazed at how good my friends' parents cooked. Needless to say I am so greatful that Richard can cook!!!

Weekend fun!

Friday started off with a funeral.  Richard's friend's father died after a long fight with a disease.  We ran into alot of Richard's high school friends.  Sort of like a mini reunion.

Saturday, my twin sister, Rachel, was baptized!  Richard performed the baptism.  We went back to her house to celebrate and eat the spaghetti and meatballs Richard made for the celebration! I gave the baptism talk and Rebecca gave the Holy Ghost talk!  I cried!   Her friend Andrea showed up and we brought our friend Anne Arnold with us!  I love Anne!  She is awesome!! We stayed until around 7 and then we headed home.  We jumped the train tracks and the kids and Anne loved it!   We brought Rachel some gifts, a picture of Jesus in the red robe and a few signs!

Sunday we headed back to the 9am Sacrament Meeting at the Mercy Springs Ward in Los Banos.  Richard performed Rachel's confirmation and we spent the rest of the morning going to classes at her Ward.  IT was OK, but everyone kept congratulating me on my recent baptism.  They kept confusing me with my twin sister who was baptized!  They were so shocked when I told them.  :)

We headed home and I finished more signs for my dear friend Tana as a "farewell, come back and visit and don't you dare forget us" gift.  We finally tracked her down at 9pm and headed over to her house.  She did her picture frenzy for about 10 minutes and then we talked and talked and laughed and talked and played with the cats until 11:30!   I love her and her family!  I am so going to miss them!  Though I do plan on cyber stalking her on Blogger and Facebook!

So here I am back at work and wishing I was home with my kids and husband!  AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!  I want Summer off!!

I did it!

I did it!  I survived!  And I am still alive and walking around without falling asleep!

Maybe I should explain!  I worked a 10pm to 1am shift at the 2011 Sober Grad for Buchanan High School last night!  We worked the Bingo room and man was it crazy!  It started out slow and then got crazy!  The prizes were AWESOME!  iHomes, shop vac, gift certificates, etc!  It was a very popular room!

Sober Grad is held at John's Incredible Pizza.  They reserve the entire place from 10pm until 4am!  They have a Casino Room, Karoake Room, Bingo Room, all you can eat pizza and ice cream, unlimited ice cream.  It is awesome.  I ate alot of Alfredo Pizza.  I love that one!  Cheese and Alfredo Sauce!  Yummy!!  Rebecca is so doing that next year and we will be helping!  The prizes are awesome!

I took a nap before I went and got a little bit of sleep last night, but I am still tired!

Garden

Well we have been working non stop on the garden since Saturday.  We got the boxes finished and the seeds planted!  We moved sprinklers, added sprinklers and made it look nice.  At one point Christopher dressed up like a construction worker just to work in the garden.  We already have tomatoes, watermelon, cantelope and squash growing.  Now we have Beets!!  I hate them but everyone else in our family loves them!  Crazy!
