Klutzy

Well it all started with me cutting my finger trying to open an envelope to now spraining and tearing some tendons in my right wrist.  I was just trying to adjust myself in bed and BAM hurt myself again!  I should wear a plastic suit and protect myself with Rhonda Proofing equipment!  They make child safety stuff why not Rhonda Safety equipment!  Trust me I need it!

Update

Well I spent the week before Christmas extremely tired and sick.  I slept until 10 everyday and was still exhausted!  I went to the doctor and she said that the baby is big.  That totally explains the exhaustion.  With the gift wrap booth, the cafe and trying to get ready for Christmas, I just could not get enough sleep.  I was awake most of the night with Riley kicking me at odd hours of the night.  I would put my stomach against Richard's back and she would stop a little bit so I could get a little more sleep.

Christmas was pretty awesome!  We went to church and it was a great meeting!  They read from the scriptures about Jesus' birth and sang songs about his birth.  :)  It really taught us about the true meaning of Christmas and what it is really all about.  We opened gifts when we got home and then we had breakfast.  The kids got their typical pjs, a barbie doll each, a card game each and a Wii!  Most of our gifts were soon to come gifts or family gifts.  We wanted to get the kids a doll house but it was out of stock or would not get here in time.  But in reality we just did not have the money.  Everything that we had saved for Christmas, went to the cafe.  We were trying to finish it and then hope that we could make money from it.  If the ward had not decided to help us out, we would not have been able to get anything for the kids.  We were shocked when we recieved the help and tried to ask the Bishop if there was not someone else that could use the help more then us, but we could not get the words to come out to ask.  I told Richard that it was probably Heavenly Father telling us that it was ok for us to take the help.  I am very grateful for the help and being able to get our kids something that we wanted to get them for awhile.  They are very happy with their gift.

Richard got a new dress shirt, a black paisley tie, an Angry Birds shirt and the new Zelda.  I got two real frogs with a little aquarium and an outfit that Richard is going to put Riley's name across the tummy of the shirt.  I got the aquarium first of course.  Can you imagine trying to wrap two live African Diving Frogs?  They would be dead by the time I unwrapped them!  I picked out my rocks and my frogs yesterday from Whitie's Pets last night!  I have Squeezer and Squirt!  Yes that is their names and I can tell them apart!  LOL!!

The cafe opened this week but for fundraisers only.  We are open Monday through Saturday 11-2.  We have chicken wraps, hot dogs, burritos, nachos, etc!  Come on down and have lunch!  We are inside The Palace Courtyard at 6616 N Blackstone, across from Ray Fisher Pharmacy!  The support from our friends and family is always appreciated!!   Hope your Christmas was great and that your 2012 will be as excellent as it can be!  Ours will be great because in April 2012 we will have our baby girl, Riley Pearl!!

Week of fun and disasters

Last week, I was so tired I could not even get out of bed.  I stayed home for four days, but I am still tired.  It has been 15 years since my last pregnancy, am I suppose to be this tired?  I feel like I have been running a marathon constantly!  Crazy, huh?
We are 90% done with the construction of the restaurant and got some bad news last week.  We have run out of money!  It totally sucks!  We are about $3000 away with construction and about another $2000 with equipment and supplies!  Not sure what we can do.  Our bishop suggested selling our trailer, but we still have a few payments left on it and it is not in our name yet.  That is out of the question, unfortunately.  I put in for a SBA loan but that is a minimum 30 days away!  I would ask family, but one is on assistance and the other two just retired.   For now we are piece working it with money that keeps coming in for other stuff.   So if anyone knows anyone that wants to invest $5000 temporarily into our restaurant, please send them our way!!
The Gift Wrap booth is up and running, but so far volunteers to work shifts are few and far between.  I have switched to shifts to shorter times and hope that helps!  I have one family that is always volunteering to work, but it is completely unfair for them, me and one other person to have to always work and then the rest of the band benefits from the booth.  These parents are not wanting to help with this fundraiser but complain that the band is broke!  Well then help with the booth!!  Can't please everyone I guess.
I go tomorrow to the doctor and get to hear Riley's heartbeat again!!  YEAH!!!  Then on the 29th I get another fancy fancy(said in a snobbish tone) ultrasound to see how she is doing.  Speaking of Riley, I just realized how much stuff I do not have and will need before she is born!  I have a crib and crib set, and socks.  When I was registering at Buy Buy Baby, Walmart and Target, they each had a list of stuff to register for.  It was crazy!!  The big stuff is going to be the most expensive!  Crib mattress, stroller, carseat, pak n play, and the diaper bag!  When did diaper bags go over $50?!?!?  Plus there is all the clothes and shoes and blankets and towels and the bathtub and toys and bottles and nursing pads and everything else?!?!?  My friend Anne is throwing me a baby shower, but I am still overwhelmed and paranoid about what I put on the registry.  I don't want people to think I am being greedy or wanting too much.  What do I do?  Do I put on the expensive stuff or do I just get that myself and keep the rest low priced so not to break guests budget?  I have everything on there, because I want to be able to remember what we decided on.   Go check them out and then tell me your honest opinion!!  I really do not want anyone not coming to my shower because they can't afford the stuff I have on there.
Bye for now!!

What is wrong with people?

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/27/black-friday-target_n_1115372.html?ncid=webmail3

What is wrong with these people?  Is getting the best possible deal worth someone dying over?!?  I am completely outraged at the idiot shoppers that are in this article!!

Vacation

Well my week of vacation is over and it is back to the grindstone!  Man do I have alot of emails at work I needed to clear out.
Last week we cleaned the house and I ended up having a huge allergy attack because of all the dust we disturbed!  But the house was clean before Thanksgiving, but it is a slight array again.  I feel like I did all that work for nothing!!!  Oh well, I will probably do it all over again this week and this weekend!  We are de cluttering the house and it is going to be a long project, but it needs to be done!
I am working on my signs again and making hats for the gift wrap booth.  We seem to be doing pretty darn good at the booth this season with various vendors from The Palace Courtyard selling handmade gifts.  I am hoping to make a ton of money for the band this year!!!   So go to the Sierra Vista Mall, buy one of the handmade gifts we have or let us wrap your Christmas gifts!!
Riley is moving alot more lately and she is starting to kick harder.  I am hoping within the next few weeks, my family will be able to fell her kick too.  She seems to kick more when I sing, so I am not sure if she enjoys it or is telling me to stop.  Hee hee!  Her moving is more associated when I am relaxing or sitting at the dinner table trying to eat.  Luckily last night I was able to sleep the entire night without being awoken to her moving.
Sunday night I woke up shivering and could not get warm.  During that time I hit my little toe against the door jam and low and  behold, I broke it!  Owie!  Owie Owie!!
Thanksgiving feasting time was great.  We had a bit leftover so we had another turkey celebration on Sunday!  It was pretty fun to be able to have Thanksgiving twice in a row!!

Turkey Day

In 30 minutes I will be on vacation for one week!  I will get to sleep in and go into a vegative state watching tv.  I get to make pumpkin pies, cranberry sauce and get the house cleaned up and un cluttered for Thanksgiving!  I want to make a few more signs for my gift wrap booth that opens the day after Thanksgiving in the Sierra Vista Mall!  YEAH!! I will have the time to do it all!  Plus I have to find a turkey!!!

I love Thanksgiving dinner!  This will be the first time I am pregnant during Thansgiving, before I was just taking care of a newborn!  I hope I can eat!  I am really looking forward to turkey, dressing, mashed taters with gravy, cranberry sauce, rolls, melting butter and pumpkin pie with whipped cream!   Yummy yum!

If you need your gifts wrapped thsi Christmas season, please come on out and check out our booth!  We will be having handmade gifts and cards from The Palace Courtyard!

I just wanted to tell you all
Have A Happy Thanksgiving
and A Safe Black Friday!

Week of sickness!

I have been sick!  Sorry for the late post.  First I get nauseas and then I develope a cold right on top of everything.  I spent alot of time in bed last week just trying to breath because the cold wrecked havoc on my asthma!  Luckily the doctor said I can use both my inhalers and sudafed!  YEAH ME!

Saturday was Rebecca's last band performance for Buchanan Band!  She is graduating this year and I am glad they went out with a bang!  They won Sweepstakes, better then first place!  And Rebecca got to accept the awards!! First time we ever got to see her do the salute to the judges!  It was awesome!!

That same day was the Senior Band Kids dinner!  Of course Richard helped plan, buy and prepare it!  They got steak, twice baked mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, rolls, cheese cake, death by chocolate cake and punch and sparkling cider!  They all loved it!  It was a great success!!

Sunday was Stake Conference and it is always great to hear from new converts and their conversion story.  I am ever so glad that they did not ever ask me to do that!  It was weird listening to the Stake President talk when he was just in our house for a visit about three weeks ago.  He seemed pretty impressed with our family and our bishop who was with him seemed to brag about us a little to him.  Richard was again in the choir and he does it because he likes to sing and because I do not like sitting in the hard seats, especially now being pregnant.

Our cafe should be opening this Friday!  Cross your fingers that we get the permits, the work and the inspections done in time!  If everything goes as planned we will be having our Grand Opening December 3rd!    You are all invited of course!!  Plus you are all invited to visit the cafe in the great gift shop The Palace Courtyard which the cafe will be in!

Well, this Thursday I should be able to find out if I am having a girl or a boy.  Or as my good friend Stasha says, a hamburger or a hot dog!  LOL!  Cross you fingers that Baby Fisher cooperates and flashes the dr and doesn't moon him!!

Scary moment

We went to my monthly dr's appointment this morning.  Did our typical wait and then the whole weighing and peeing in the cup.  Allyson came in with the device that lets you hear the baby's heartbeat.  She was moving it all around and getting nothing.  So I am panicking.  Richard said I had a look of concern and fear on my face.  I was really thinking, where is the heartbeat?  Did something bad happen?  Just as I was getting ready to completely panic when she put the device under my belly button and there it was!  Strong and steady and way up high!  She said the baby is up high and is pretty big!  So the scary of no hearbeat is over and now I have to worry that I am going to give birth to a toddler!!

As Richard and I have said throughout this entire pregnancy, Heavenly Father won't give us something we can not handle.  Big baby it is then!

Weekend

This weekend was jammed packed with activities!  First Rebecca had band practice from 10-1 and our school was hosting Golden State Tournament of Bands.  So there were alot of schools and kids we have never seen before trapsing all over our school!

Rebecca, ReAnna and Brytani were in the Fresno North Stake Musical Program, We Testify of Christ.  There were three shows, two on Saturday and one on Sunday.   Rebecca has a line when the Nephites were visited my Christ and ReAnna was an extra in another scene.  The both wore yellow, strange huh?  They sang a bunch of songs that were very moving and it was a packed house as usual.  If you went, thanks, if you did not, please go next year.  It is so worth it!

Saturday also was the 6 anniversary of The Palace Courtyard being on Blackstone.  We made some gift certificates and gave them away as prizes.  It was pretty cool, but not well publicized unfortunately.   Could have been bigger.

Sunday was testimony meeting and there was no dead air at all! It was very moving and spiritual.  Some were funny, but it was still great!  Richard and I got asked to be on the Ward Christmas Party committee!  YEAH!!  I hope I get to do something great!  The RS Christmas party is December 1st.  I signed up to lend them my chargers.  I hope I remember and am able to go. I hope that my friend Tana and her family is back in time to visit and go to the Ward Christmas party as our guest.  It will be awesome!

We went to the last performance on Sunday and my niece and Samia saved us five seats so we were abel to sit close to the front.  YEAH!!

I go to the doctor this Tuesday and I hope to get an ultrasound so I can see what I am having.  Otherwise I have to wait until November 17th!!

Sad News

http://www.fresnobee.com/2011/11/01/2599066/fresno-police-seek-suspect-in.html

I know this boy and we are praying for his family.  He was a great kid, very friendly!

Halloween

Our Halloween was some what strange!  There were more children and cars in my neighborhood then what lives there.  On the news I heard that the poorer neighborhoods were going to other neighborhoods to trick or treat.  There were kids barely dressed up so I am guessing the news report was right.
The same houses that never participate with Halloween were the same ones again.  No lights, but kids were running up the walk to ding the doorbells.  I always thought the rule was you only go to the doors with the porch lights on. Maybe some never heard that one?
The haunted house across the street from my house was crazy busy.  There was a waiting line to get in.  One little girl tripped over the barriers they had out.  I picked her up the first time and then she fell over them again.  Take the mask off!!  Now I know why I hate mask for halloween!  They can be dangerous!  The two older girls were giant chickens about going into the haunted house but the three little ones did, though Amberlin and Kaitlyn started crying even before they went in.  Richard went with them and said they cried the entire way through.
We finally got home and had some pumpkin pie and then I went to bed.  The kids were up for another hour getting ready for bed and running off the candy they had just eaten before pie.  Christopher was up even later and then would not get up this morning complaining that he was tired.  Richard went in there once to get them up, then I did and then his sisters did.  Richard ended going upstairs and physically getting him out of bed.  I know someone who is going to bed at 7:45 tonight!

How was your Halloween?!?

Weekend Follies

This was one crazy busy weekend again!  It started on Friday at the ward Halloween Party.  I helped with the cake walk and it was more popular with the adults then the kids!  It ended up being pretty fun!  I got an honorable mention on chili even though they thought Richard made it.  Richard yelled, "it's Rhonda's" really loud so everyone heard and I got an apology.  Wasn't upset about it.  Richard is the cook so the mistake was understandable.  :)

Saturday was a bit crazy also.  We had to run around liek crazy getting everything raedy for the dinner for the band and go to a garage sale and pick up a few things for the cafe!  I am really excited because we have our first customers this Friday!  We are not open but it should be a good start!

We served Luna's for dinner and the kids loved it!  We loaded them up and still had a ton left!! Crazy!  GSTOB is this Saturday so we do not have to feed the kids!  YEAH!! But we have to feed them the following Satuday for the last time this band season!  YEAH!!

Sunday was typical church dinner and musical practice!

What was your weekend like?!?!?!

Fun Fun Fun!

This weekend was tough!  First I had to go get my 2nd trimester genetic bloodwork done.  Wow! 2nd trimester!  16 weeks down and only 24 to go!  Now I can't wait for my next two doctor appointments!  They said for sure on the 17th, they will check for the sex of the baby!  Cross your fingers that it is a boy or a girl and not an alien!! Hee Hee!  I have a feeling it is a boy, but I want to know for sure!

After all the bloodwork, we went out to The Palace Courtyard to check on some stuff, get the dinner for the band at Sam's Club and Costco.  Crazy busy!  Then I was forced to drive with my husband to Hanford to check out the Superior Dairy!  Not too forced, but it sounds better.  We got a hot fudge sundae and three half gallon flavors.  Best forced trip ever!!  Then it was back to Clovis to work the Football concession stand with my hubby and my friend Anne!  It was fun and after the game we got to test the meatball subs for the band the next day!  Yummy!

Saturday was Super Saturday for the Peachwood Ward!  I had enough time to make everything and eat two bowls of fabulous soup!!  I made two clear block Christmas decoration, a candy jar made from terra cotta pots and some necklaces with scrabble tiles.  All of which I will be making more of!  GREAT CHRISTMAS GIFTS!!    Then I had to run home and get things packed up to take to Lemoore for our second band review.  Unfortunately one of our roasters was missing from the schools seatrain and we had to do meatball subs for 150 people in one roaster!  Not fun and it took forever for them to heat up!

Well Richard is no longer Cubmaster, but he is Ward Mission Leader Assistant.  Pretty much he gets to do what we have been doing for months, inviting new and old members to dinner.  It will be a good calling for Richard, he never got a chance to go on a mission, so he gets to do one now.  He teachs the investigator class now.  I think he will do great, but he is nervous!

I can feel the baby move more these days.  I can't wait for Richard to be able to feel it too!  This week the bones are turning from cartilidge to hard bone, so I am drinking lots of milk and taking my calcium pills.  Strong bones mean a healthy kicker!  Baby should be about 5 inches from head to bottom right now.  In a few weeks the measurements go from head to bottom to head to feet.  I can't wait!

This Friday is our ward's trunk or treat.  I am helping with the cake walk, making chili for the chili cook off and getting Richard to make some cakes for the cake walk.  He is cooking chili and hot dogs for the dinner that is provided during the event.  All those beans, I am sure houses gonna stink the next day!!  Hee Hee!   Rebecca has to go to a competition so she is unable to join us for the trunk or treat, but the rest are going!  ReAnna is going as a pink angel(don't ask), Brytani no idea yet but I will come up with something, Kaitlyn a witch, Christopher as Ben 10 and Amberlin as a cheerleading kitty.  I am going as a tourist, and I think Richard is going as an MC in his tuxedo!  Hee Hee!

Greatest Purchase EVER!!

If you look at this crib, how much do you think it should cost?  $200, $300?  Well it was at Baby Depot with is in Burlington Coat Factory.  On a whim to waste some time, Richard and I headed over to take a look to see what they have.  Mostly I am looking for Frogs to decorate the baby's wall in my room. We started looking at cribs and Richard found this one.  The tag said $249.99 but it was half off because the floor model was the last one left.  After checking out the rest of the area, we decided $125 was a great price for a brand new crib that is a 4 in 1, and exactly what I was wanting!  So after tracking down a sales associate, we headed home, comfortable that the crib was on hold and would be waiting for us when we got back with the Armada.  Unfortunately we had the Charger and the crib would not fit in there as a floor model.  So we get home and pick up the Armada and head back to the store.  There were only 2 registers open, but we had a short line but a long wait.  Cashiers were really really slow.  Eventually we were next and handed over the ticket for her to ring up.  The first price came back as over $200 and of course it was wrong!  So she finally got the right sku and out came the price $107.  We told them it is suppose to be $125, I don't want to cheat anyone out of money, but the manager said that it was already clearanced and to give us the additional 50% off.  So I was able to get the crib I want for $150 less then what it was suppose to cost!  YEAH!!  It is in my room and awaiting the mattress, the crib set and the little extras.   Plus we are going to get some plastic drawers to put the baby's clothes and other stuff inside.  We decided against a changing table because there is no room and we would end up changing the baby on our bed anyways!
So hope you enjoyed my fabulous savings on a crib!  I think it will look great with my crib set that I want!

Dr's Appointment

Well I got to hear the baby's heartbeat, but no ultrasound.  She was so busy.  It was the busiest I have ever seen her waiting room, plus they got new carpet so you can imagine the smell in there.  My next appointment is November 8.  Plus I go see the perinatal specialist on November 17th and they should be able to tell me if it is a Blake or a Riley.

I think other then the busy in the waiting room, the thing that was more shocking was the two teenagers that were extremely pregnant.  One looked like she was carrying twins, but there was only one.  The other looked like she was only about 5 monthes, but she was due in like two weeks.  They were so young.  Do they realize how much work a baby is?  Do they know how much they are giving up to be a teenager mother?  I am sure they think they are ready, but are they really?  My niece was a teenage mother twice.  Now she is married and has more kids, but if I remember correctly, she never graduated from high school, she got a GED.   My eldest sister was a teenage mom and dropped out, but got her diploma 15 years later.  Rebecca goes to school with girls that are pregnant.  One of them was completely thrilled about being pregnant.  Rebecca told her she is too young and she should not be so excited.

I feel bad for girls like that.  They don't get enough love at home, so they find it somewhere else and unfortunately they discover it is not what they thought it was.  They end up pregnant and alone, no love except the unconditional love from their baby.   I was 21 when Rebecca was born and it was hard!  I was alone, had a great job with benefits, but it was harder then I thought.

Fisher Family Update

Friday was not a good day for me in the whole morning sickness crud!  I pulled a muscle in my neck because of it.  I finally managed to eat but some did some not make it to my tummy!  Plus I signed up to work the football concessions at Buchanan!  It was SOOOOO slow and it was homecoming!  We only had one side of the booth open and it was dead!!  Crazy! We closed before half time was over!
Saturday was the YM/YW Quad Stake Service Project.  They cleaned up the San Joaquin River trails, went back to our building and did some activities, listen to a speaker, had a dinner and then the 14 year and older kids got to participate in the dance.  My niece was down so she went to all that except the dance.  She is only 13.  She wants to go to church and be baptized but her step mother is very anti mormon and does not want the missionaries in her house.  SO my niece is coming to my house for church and we are going to get our missionaries to get her the lessons. :)
Sunday we got to visit with some friends and see their 13 month old daughter for the first time.  They moved to Spokane for work and we have not seen them in 2 years!  Their daughter is so cute!  Very mobile and in love with our dog.  Then our friends from church came over for dinner and they stayed awhile and we talked and laughed.  All in all it was a great weekend.
I have another dr appointment this Tuesday and hopefully hearing the heartbeat and getting another ultrasound.  I am going to ask her if she can see what the baby is!

Rebecca!

Seventeen years ago, after 18 hours of labor and one popped out rib, Rebecca Morgan was brought into this world!  It is hard to believe she is a senior and almost an adult!  Once she hit Kindergarten, time just flew!!

Blah Blah Blah

Was not sure what to call this post, so I put blah blah blah up there.  I have been having really weird pregnancy symptoms and wanted to see if anyone else had the same ones and what they did.

1.  Constant yucky taste in my mouth.  It's like I have eaten only sour food all day.
2.  Constant stuffy nose.  I feel like I have a cold or something.
3.  Constant bubbly noises coming from my stomach.  It acts like I am not eating!!
4.  Excessive dry skin.  I feel like I just can not get enough lotion!  I put it on and 10 minutes later I need more!
5.   Craving food and then get gaggy when I eat it.  I craved peanut butter and then get sick when I try to eat it.
6.    Constant smelling garbage.  Everywhere I go I smell dumpster everywhere!  Or just poopy diapers!

Not worried about them just yet, but was curious if I am alone with them.  It may seem weird but I am actually grateful to have the morning sickness, bubbly tummy, constant cravings, weak bladder, gas bubbles, etc.  After trying for 4 years, giving up and adopting three kids and having 2 miscarriages after adopting, I am so grateful to our Heavenly Father who blessed us with this baby.  It was just amazing watching the baby move around, stretch, somersault and wiggly on the ultrasound yesterday.  I kept thinking, What if I am dreaming, What if the test was wrong and this pregnancy is a hysterical one.  Now I no longer think that, it brought me back from my worried dreams to reality, where there is a baby and I am not dreaming.  I feel Baby Fishey (courtesy of Anne Arnold) moving, when he/she somersaults.  I just can't wait for Richard and the kids to be able to feel him/her kick!

Pictures of Baby Fisher!!

Here is two ultrasounds of Baby Fisher!!   One of the spine and one of stretching out!    No sex yet, but she said for sure November 17th!!!

Weekend starts at 3:00 today!

Today is my Friday!  YEEHAW!  I get my hair done tomorrow and I need to go look for some pants for my reunion on Saturday.  Plus as a bonus I get to sleep in!!  YEAH!

I am hoping that today goes by pretty fast.  Though one of our printer/scanner/copy Xerox machines is out of order!  Then our other one is being a butthead and not working correctly!  I am tempted to bring a sledge hammer to work and "fix" it, but I think it would scare enough people just seeing me carrying it!

I am getting my hair highlighted with alot of blond and then cut to a new style.  Because of my pregnancy and just normal, my hair is growing like a weed!   It always grew fast, but I sware it is growing twice as fast!!  It is past the middle of my back and it barely came to the bottom of my shoulder blades like 6 weeks ago!   Weeds I tell you!!

Still a little apprehensive about my reunion, but my old school buddy Rosemarie is now going, so I will be talking to her the entire night possibly!   Still not sure what I will be eating!  The head of the reunion committee still has not gotten back to me to tell me what is on the menu!!

Weird Eats

Yesterday I went to the lab to do a one hour glucose test.  I sware they gave me flat orange soda.  It was nasty!!  Then you HAVE to sit there for one hour, where they can see you.  I could not even go next door to the WIC office!  I had to sit there with no one in the entire waiting room but me and Richard.   So I got my blood work done and I managed to pee in a cup without getting any on me!  Whoo hoo!!  Success!

So because of the nasty glucose drink, my system was all messed up last night.  I managed to eat nachos last night and some rainbow sherbert!  Yummy!  Now to the weird eats.  Richard has frozen White Castle cheeseburgers, so he was snacking on some last night.   Richard took me and the girls to White Castle in Missouri and the girls and I discovered that we do not like White Castle Burgers, we do not like then Sam I Am!  We barely ate two each.  Fries were awesome though.  Well last night they smelled good and tasted awesome!  Talk about weird eats!

So, what is something that you do not like that you could not get enough of when you were pregnant?

Here I am

I have been sick since Wednesday last week so I apologize for not blogging regularly!

I was doing so good with no morning sickness and then it hits me!  Wednesday morning I woke up nauseas and dizzy!  I stayed in bed all day and tried to go to work the next day, same thing. Same for Friday too!  Saturday was not fun, but Sunday I could eat and I think I drank a gallon of milk!  Talk about calcium overload, good for the baby though!  I have been taking b12 to help with the morning sickness but those days nothing helped!
This Saturday is my twenty year class reunion in San Francisco.  My class never had any large class event within the city our school was in.  I graduated from Cupertino High School in Cupertino, California.  For those that have never heard of that city, Cupertino borders San Jose.   So I paid $85 each for my reunion tickets in San Francisco at the Tres Agave restaurant.  Tres Agave is very well known for their tequila made from Agave.  I get two drinks (non alcoholic included), an appetizer and an entree, so does Richard.  I am just worried because some stuff makes me sick, smells, weird tastes, etc.  So I need to to go over the menu and make sure their is something I can eat.
I am looking forward to seeing people, just not one.  This one guy I had a HUGE crush on and he treated me like crap whenever his friends were around.  He made my life miserable whenever he was in the same class as me. Our lockers were always by each other, so he picked on me there also.  I know he will be there, but I hope he does not recognize me!!!
Monday the 3rd of October, I have my specialist appointment.  I found out that my insurance pays for it 100%!  YEAH!! So I go do blood work this week, blood work next Monday and an ultrasound and then on the 11th, I see my midwife and get another ultrasound!   Maybe this one will be a flasher and we can find out what he or she is!!  Cross your fingers!!

Weekend fun and adventure

Weekend started just as it normally does for us, Friday after work.  First Richard and I ran over to The Palace Courtyard to check something out for our cafe, then we went to Buy Buy Baby!  We looked at cribs and I almost peed my pants at how expensive they are!  Cheapest one was a mini crib and it was $259!  The most expensive one was $799!   I really think I am going with the one I found and like at Walmart.com.  It is a crib/changing table combo that converts to a toddler bed/daybed and then a full bed.   I have never had a brand new crib, so I guess I have never known how expensive they are!!  Plus the crib set I love, Frogs, is $89 plus another $50 for the mobile and diaper stacker, all online at walmart.com only.   We found a stroller that we want.  It is like a jogging stroller with the big wheels and it comes with an infant carseat that attaches to it until the baby is big enough to sit in the stroller without scrunching down.  We found the pack and play we like and will probably use as a bassinet until the baby is big enough to go into the crib.  It has a removable rocking vibrating bassinet with a changing table.  Then I found the perfect baby bath!  It is a baby jacuzzi with an attached shower head!   I still have no idea which bottles, breast pump or baby monitor I want, but I have a 6 monthes to figure that out.  I do alot of research online and then go check them out online.

Saturday was the grape harvest so Richard, Rebecca, ReAnna and Kaitlyn all headed out to the vineyard at 5:30 am.  Christopher, Amberlin and I got up around 8:00am after someone sat in their car and honked for the person inside to come outside at 7:45 am.  Totally rude in a world of cell phones!   We headed to McDonald's, then on to Winco and then we headed to Walmart to get Christopher new socks.   I found some baby socks on clearance for $1.50!!   Whoo hoo!  Plus I picked up some candy!  I have this huge craving for Milk Duds!!  What is up with that?!?  Then we took the kids to Babies R Us and back to Buy Buy Baby.  The kids ran around and kept saying, Mom, Dad look at this.  Look at this, what about this. It was crazy.  We found alot of the stuff we liked at Buy Buy Baby at Babies R Us, price was either the same or a little higher.  Richard really likes the Baby Bullet for making homemade baby food.

Sunday was the primary program and we did an EXCELLENT job!   We got rice krispie treats for doing so great!   One of the boys in my class was suppose to near his testimony on the scriptures and when he got to the podium he took out his Book of Mormon, opened it up and started just talking about the page.  He has a small speech problem, but we all understood, Jesus Christ, scriptures, Heavenly Father, true, stories.  It was great because his mom had written out his testimony and he put it under the book and started talking!  It was GREAT!!  He is such a character! I love that little kid! When his mom told him I was pregnant he said uh oh!   They called Amberlin, Sister Fisher one time in primary to come get her pencil or something and he was very animate that I get up there and get my pencil!  He kept saying " Go Sister Fisher, go!"

Right before Richard and Rebecca headed to choir Richard told me that I was to relax and take a nap when I got home.  So I did, of course after lunch was made for the kids.   I was up there watching tv and dozing! It was very nice.  Kids kept coming up and asking me if I need anything and Richard kept bringing me snacks.  I find if I keep food in my stomach, I do not get sick.  At about 5:15 Richard came up and woke me up for dinner.  He led me downstairs and then made me close my eyes until I got into the dining room and he said open your eyes.  Him and the kids threw me a Pregnancy Shower!  There was pigs in a blanket, mini pizzas and soda. Plus a cake!  The kids all got me some little gifts for the me and the baby.  Richard even got me my first pack of diapers!   The funniest one was the hot wheels key chain that made noise.  I can see Christopher "showing" the baby how to play with it and forgetting to give it back.  I got bibs, onsies, an outfit and a bunch of baby toys. Plus hot chocolate with marshmellows, candles, vitamin b12, and a clip for me.  Pretty awesome.

I have been feeling like the kids really do not care about the baby, so this helped me to realize that they do, but in their own way.

So how was your weekend? Mine as usual was CRAZY!
The bathtub
The pack n play, but I like the one with the blue
the crib. comes in espresso color too.

Weird Dream

Last night we had the Robinson's over for dinner and Richard made homemade Macaroni and Cheese!  Yummy!  I had four servings and he put the leftovers in a container for me to take to work!  I was so full when I went to bed, it was wonderful!!

Last night I had the strangest dream.   I was living in this house that was like a fortress at the touch of a button.  I had a tread mill that was in a wading pool and a 20 foot rock climbing wall.  I had a several year food supply for like 100 people.  The house was like four stories, steel reinforced walls and roof.  It was crazy.  All my friends came to live with me because zombies took over the planet!   I pushed a button and the steel screens on the doors and windows slide down and locked.  A fancy fancy computer put pictures on the windows to look like a beautiful view from each window.  There was a large play room that had grass, fake sun, play structures, etc.  The kids all played there.  There was another room that had a huge garden/green room with tons of fresh veggies and fruit.  Another was a HUGE freezer with all sorts of meat and a huge refridgerator with dairy products.  There was even some cows and chickens and pigs and other animals.  The animal room had a ventilation system that sent the gross poop smells outside.   We could see outside with a fancy security system to see if the zombies were out there.   Pretty much we were set up.  We would go out occassionally in this fancy truck looking for survivors and raiding Walmarts and Targets for food and clothes.  It was crazy!!

I am hoping it was a combination of the wonderfull homemade macaroni and cheese and being pregnant and not that Richard put hallucinating drugs in the food.  What do you think?

Oh and I have decided how to decorate for the baby.  I will give you one guess!  If you know me you know what I picked!!

FROGS!! It is at Walmart.com and it is online only.  I love it!

Dr's Appointment

I still have no ultrasound of the baby!  Dang it!  She said I need to decide if I want to do genetic testing and I only have less then 2 weeks to make my decision.   What to do, what to do? If I do the testing, it also includes an ultrasound looking for birth defects, I guess.   I need to call my insurance and see if they even pay for the testing and then make my decision.

Family Pictures

Well we went out and got our family pictures taken by Chris Burton Photography.  We drove up to Mushroom Rock and took pictures with the sunset behind us!  It was alot of fun! I can't wait to see the pictures!!  I hope the kids cooperated and smiled like we asked them to.  Christopher likes to put on a frown for pictures.
I got sick on the way back down and when we got home.  I did get a little pizza down, but that was it.  :(  I just want to feel better, but after so many years of trying, the morning sickness is not dreaded.  It's hard to explain, but I actually look forward to it. I don't like it, but I will take it!
I get to hear the baby's heartbeat tomorrow and she said we will get an ultrasound, but I do not know if it is from her or she has to send me to Dr. Helm.  I guess I will find out tomorrow!
Two more weeks until I start my second trimester and nineteen more days until my twenty year high school reunion in San Francisco.  The week of the 25th I am getting my hair highlighted and cut!  Need to hide the gray!! :)

Weekend

This weekend is going to be crazy!! Friday night from 5-9 we are celebrating ReAnna's 15th birthday. Her actual birthday is Monday, but we are celebrating it tonight.  She chose an Under The Sea theme. We are decorating the backyard porch with blue, green and white streamers hanging down to make it look like they under the sea.  We are serving ribs, macaroni salad and potato salad and of course cake!  Hard to believe she is already 15!
Saturday we are celebrating Christopher's 10th birthday.  It is a Captian America theme.  He is having pizza and cake! Not doing much for decorations accept maybe putting up some blue and white streamers and maybe red balloons.  Little kids never seem to care about decorations at the parties.  They only want to play on the playset and toys! Luckily his party is only 2 hours, so a short time with his friends.
Rebecca has band practice and we will pick her up at 3 and then we will all get ready for family pictures courtsey of Chris Burton Photography.  We are heading up to Mushroom Rock for pictures and dinner with the Burton's!  Can not wait!!

Weekend Follies

This weekend was a busy one, the first of the school year!   Friday was the first home game that the concession stand was open and I managed to recruit ten other parents to work the booths for and with me! It was hot and slow.  Richard got me some much craved chinese food, so there was one good thing that night!
Saturday, we headed to Sam's Club to get a Plus membership in the cafe's name.  Plus we changed the business name on the Costco card.  Then we headed to Smart and Final to get the filling mix for Adam's cake.  Then we went home to finish Adam's birthday cake and to make macaroni salad for his party.  Then off to Adam Comstock's birthday party, after a last minute run to go pick him up a gift!   We were at the party until around 8. Fun!
Sunday was church and the first Primary Program practice.  That was fun, but LONG!  Most of the kids do not know their parts.  My three included.  It just came up faster then I realized.  For dinner we had the Comstock's over for dinner.  BBQ wings, fries, corn and coleslaw!
Monday we headed to Sam's Club with the kids and Anne Arnold, then over to the Palace Courtyard and then I headed to Anne's house to try to fix her wireless printer.  Should have been easy, but nothing was like it said in the instructions!  I am going to do some investigation here at work and try to get an answer to this riddle!
I am now 9 weeks and I feel good.  A little tired and tired of trying to find something I can eat that won't make me sick.  Potatoes seem to be my friend along with fruits and vegetables!
SO I am back at work and tired(of course).  I just need another four hours of sleep and I will be fine!

Crazy!

It is just plain crazy!  Rebecca announced at church on Sunday that I am eight weeks pregnant and she said everyone had this surprised/excited look on their face.  She quickly followed with I still have a chance of miscarriage, so we will be more happy when we are in the second trimester.  Yesterday someone called my husband about scout stuff and said she heard from five people that I am pregnant.  Apparently it is big news in my ward.
So here I am 38, pregnant with my third child, Richard'd first.  Trying to eat healthy and keep it down.  Any idea of chicken, steak, pork, fish, etc makes me nauseas now!  So right now I am living on vegetables, baked potatoes, OJ, milk and water.  Richard is trying to find stuff that is high in protien so that I can substitute it for meat.
Monday and Tuesday I was sick with a bug from the kids at school.  So I am back at work today and using my trashcan as my personal vomit catcher.  Yuck!!  Tired and waiting three more weeks so I can be past the miscarriage danger.

Friday Reprieve!!

No football game to work the concession stands for!  No parents to beg to work it! No dealing with kids who give me a twenty for a $2 soda!  No explaining to people that we are out of hot dogs and to come back in 15 minutes!
Don't get me wrong, I love working the concession stands, but I need one more week to get ready for all that!  I need one more Friday night that is mine.  I need one more week before my feet and legs hurt because I spent 5 hours on them serving food to kids and parents.
I want to sit on the couch and watch a movie with my kids, relax that the first week of school is over, go to a birthday party, go to church, etc.  I need to bake cookies this weekend!  Chocolate Chip and Sugar Cookies!  YEAH!!
I can sleep in and hope that my husband left me!

New Bed

I am so happy this day!  My husband took time out to look for a new bed for me last night.  Then to surprise me anymore, he put it together that night so we could sleep on it!  Our old bed was 8 years old and had the typical worn down area in the bed.  Needless to say I am a stomach sleeper and it was killing my back!  This new bed is plush firm and I can sleep on my stomach and my back feels great!! It has memory foam in it so it is like sleeping on a cloud!  :)  I now it's a cliche but after how bad I have been sleeping the last 3 weeks, I can deal with cliches!
So how did you sleep last night?  I slept like a baby!

What is wrong with people?!?!

Last night was a very interesting Relief Society Enrichment Activity.  We learned how to take pictures that look professional with a digital camera.  Very interested.  Plus another Brother showed us how to make videos with our pictures.

The event was crazy but the buzz was what was making everyone a little angry.

Someone came into our church and stole the end tables, lamps and some of the chairs.  All from the foyers!  What is up with people?  Why would you steal from a church?  Just plain stupid and crazy!   Plus they went looking for the rolling chalk board and that is missing too!  What the heck is wrong with people?!?!?

Weekend

I did it!  I gave blood!  I had a huge needle in my arm draining one pint of blood from my body!  I did not pass out. I did not get nauseated or light headed!   The only part that almost got me was watching the bag rock back and forth while a friend was giving blood.  Almost spewed!  I can handle gory movies, but watch real blood rock back and forth, oh heck no!

We checked out a shop that had restaurant equipment for sale and went to madera to see a large restaurant hood, but other then that and the blood donation, we vegged.  We finished the shelves for the pantry and craft room, now we just need to go through stuff to eliminate it.  There is going to be a lot of stuff sold on ClovisYardSale!  Yeah!  Had the Comstocks over for dinner and went to see a movie with Anne!

How was your weekend?  How was Nia's visit?

Interesting Post

I have to delete a "friend" from my Facebook and from Rebecca and ReAnna's also.  Her post for today was all about how drunk she got and how much fun it was to be drunk.  I told her that I would be deleting her because I do not want my children to read how she glorifies getting drunk.  So her response was that I was rude and she would be deleting me.  And how she is an adult and can do what she wants.  I am sorry but her post sounded like something a teenager would post not an adult.
I use to consider her my niece, but unfortunately now I am not sure what she is.  I use to take her side when she complained about her step mother, but now I see it all to be true.  I do know that I do not want her around my children.  One of my daughters use to say she wanted to hang out with her, well that won't be happening anytime soon.
Maybe one day she will grow up, but she needs to do it on her own.  I can not help her anymore.

Thanks for letting me vent!!

Camping Overview

We ended up leaving a little later then planned, but we did get there.  Our normal camping spot was occupied, but we found another that we liked just as much.  I even had to move the Armada with the trailer attached and I sort of freaked myself out a little.  I did it though.
We set up the trailer and tent and then Richard started dinner.  Salisbury steak, green beans and mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy!  Mmmmmmm.  The kids slept in the tent minus Rebecca and Elizabeth.  Of course the tent sleepers had to threatened with possible beatings, letting the bears eat them or strip them naked, pour syrup on them and let the ants have at it before they actually fell asleep. Then they were up at 5:30 in the morning and we had to threaten them again.
We went on hikes, watched the kids play Waring Indian Tribes.  Making teepees, firepits, etc.  They dug in the dirt and got filthy dirty.  Breakfast was pancakes with sausage and everyone ate like they had not eaten in monthes!  We took naps and wandered around as couples.  No hanky panky, though.
Lunch was foccacia style sandwiches. were lunch.  Turkey, Havarti Swiss, tomatoes, lettuce, mustard and a cream cheese mayonaise mixture.  Yummy!   Dinner was Teriyake chicken with stir fry veggies and rice.
The next day we had church in a perfect section of the forest and even did sacrament(we had the bishop's permission). It was peaceful and very spiritual.  We had a little testamony meeting.  Breakfast that day was omelettes with onions, mushrooms, sausage and cheese. Yummy!!!

We packed up after that and did our typical "Leave No Trace" walk and headed home!  We got home around 2 and we emptied out the camper and then everyone took a well needed shower!   Man were the kids dirty.  The shower had small piles of dirt!  We had a blast and alot of fun with the Comstock's.  Hoping to do it again soon!

Camping and Sad news

Tomorrow we are off to our family camping trip!  I plan on taking tons of photos and documenting it in my annual Shutterfly scrapbook. :) I can't wait to get up there in the mountains with the clean cool air and out of the polluted hot air down here!  The kids are going to play in the dirt, climb rocks, go on hikes, eat and sleep dirty!  YEAH!!

Sad News
A young man that we knew from church and band, passed away last night after a long battle with Valley Fever, he was 19.  He was hospitalized in Selma but transferred to Fresno Community, where he passed away.  He was always very nice and always smiling.  My prayers go out to his family and wish them comfort during this time.

I know that he is with his Heavenly Father and has no more pain or illness.  He will be with his family again soon.

Here come's the weekend!!

Here is it Wednesday and I just can not wait to camping Friday through Sunday up at Mushroom Rock!  YEAH!  I love it up there!  It is quiet no people around other then us.  The kids can dig and play and have a ton of fun!  I can read and take naps and just be completely lately lazy!!  Good outdoor cooking, but not your typical hamburgers and hotdogs either.  We will be having salisbury steak, teriyake chicken, omeletes, focaccia sandwiches.  All gourmet camping food!  Yummy Yummy Yummy!  I am hoping to be able to go camping again with more friends and with my family!  LOVE IT!!

Tonight we are going to Red Lobster tonight with the Arnold's!  Love that place and our friends!  Thursday will be my Friday! Then I will be cleaning out and repacking the camper with the camping essentials and then we leave that afternoon!  YEAH! YEAH!

I'm so excited!

Well Richard served the eviction notice to the person that was occupying the space where his kitchen will be going at The Palace Courtyard!  If all goes well, we will be starting our restaurant construction on Monday!  YEAH TEAM FISHER!!  There are a few things that need to be done this week, but it is all simple stuff. like fictitious business name and a tax id. Easy peasy for this week.  Next week the hard stuff starts!  Tearing down a wall, putting in a new doorway, covering a doorway, moving plumbing, addind plugs and a sewer line.  Then we start moving in the kitchen stuff.

Last night Richard got me the birthday present that we have been waiting to get for so long!   It is a sewing machine embrodery machine combination!  I can't wait to start embrodering things!  RibbitStitch here we come!  I am working on sewing shorts and pants, then I will put the kids names on their church bags!  YEAH!!

I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it!

Weekend Follies

This weekend was filled with alot of heat and thunder and lightning.  Strange weird weather.  We went to the Cox's and got more of the wood chips they want to get rid of!  I have 8 XXXL buckets full.  Crazy! Then we went to get some stuff for our upcoming camping trip with the Comstocks this coming weekend.  Then we had the Cox's over for dinner.  Chicken fried steak.  Mmmm!
Sunday was church and we read scriptures and watched various recorded cooking shows.  Pretty much a laid back relaxed weekend!
We finished Mosiah and Alma 1-31 in the primary reading challenge.  At the rate we are going 32-64 in Alma should be done in a few weeks, then on to Helaman!

Friday was one of the saddest days in a long time.  Our friends the Van Nortwick's buried their 37 year old son.  He died Monday of a heartattack, leaving behind a wife and two young sons.  We went to the graveside service.  There was alot of people there and it was HOT!  Dillion their youngest grandson came right over and gave Richard a hug.  Tom brought us water.  Richard was very touched that Dillion came over just to give him a hug.

When Richard told Lurane about it, she said that he was going to be a very important part in Dillion's life.  When she said that, this house that we have been looking at, popped into his head.  It is in the same neighborhood as the Van Nortwicks.  So we are going to take another look at trying to buy it.  It is undesirable to most, but to us it is perfect and has so much potential!  It is exactly what we need for our family of 7.  So pray that we can get it and everything will fall into place for it and the restaurant.

Love you Tana, Phu, Anne!!

I really needed to hear this song yesterday and there is was!  I just love how whenever I am down, it lifts my spirits and lets me know that everything will be ok!

Mikeschair
Let The Waters Rise

Don't know where to begin
Its like my world's caving in
And I try but I can't control my fear
Where do I go from here?

Sometimes its so hard to pray
When You feel so far away
But I am willing to go
Where you want me to
God, I trust You

There's a raging sea
Right in front of me
Wants to pull me in
Bring me to my knees
So let the waters rise
If You want them to
I will follow You
I will follow You
I will follow You

I will swim in the deep
'Cuz You'll be next to me
You're in the eye of the storm
And the calm of the sea
You're never out of reach

God, You know where I've been
You were there with me then
You were faithful before
You'll be faithful again
I'm holding Your hand

There's a raging sea
Right in front of me
Wants to pull me in
Bring me to my knees
So let the waters rise
If You want them to
I will follow You
I will follow You
I will follow You

God Your love is enough
You will pull me through
I'm holding onto You
God Your love is enough
I will follow You
I will follow You

Ohhh
There's a raging sea
Right in front of me
Wants to pull me in
Bring me to my knees
So let the waters rise
If You want them to
I will follow You
I will follow You
I will follow You

Ohhh

Friday night with the girls

Friday night after Rebecca and ReAnna got back from camp we headed over to the $3 flicks.  Rebecca, ReAnna, Kaitlyn and I watched Something Borrowed. Second time for me, but the first for the girls.  We headed to McDonald's after to get hot fudge sundaes.  It was a fun and the movie was hilarious.  The badmitton scene is worth the entire movie!  We were cracking up!  I really need to bring my camera everywhere!

Saturday morning was the North Stake Pioneer breakfast at Bicentenniel Park.  There were three blow up bounce house style things there.  Even a pony!  The kids had fun, and I got to talk to Janice the entire time.  I totally missed her baby shower!  I assumed it was Saturday and it was Thursday!  I feel so stupid, but I was able to bring her her gift on Sunday at church!  I only have tow more blankets to make now!  One for the 6th of August and one for the 11th of August.

My Goofy Friend

I have this friend that I just love to hear from.  She lives far away and I miss her every day.  She gives the best testimonies because she feels them in her heart and shows it to all the world.  She is a unique person and there will never be another like her.  She makes me laugh when she uses words to describe stuff, because I understand where she is coming from.  I never thought that I would meet someone that has as horrible a childhood as mine.  Though I am not ready to talk about mine yet, but I am glad that she is.

Part of who we are is part of who we once were.  Abused children grow up not thinking they are anything special, that no one will ever love them, they think abuse is normal.  It takes one special person, Richard for me and James for her, to show us that we are loveable, we are special and that abuse is NOT normal.  For the both of us our husbands led us to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints.  Though I took longer to grasp onto it, we both got there.

I found the sister I begged for as a child.  I had sisters but none that shared my pain.  I am glad that Heavenly Father place Tana in my path even if for only a short time.  I know our paths will cross again in the future, but for now, I wait patiently and impatiently.  There is so much I want to share with her face to face.

I also found the older sister I always wanted in Anne.  She keeps me on my toes and helps me not miss Tana so much.  She is honest with me and does not let me get away with ANYTHING!!!  Sometimes I wish she were my mother, but I will take her as an older sister!!

I can not wait for the three of us to be able to go out on a girl's night out and paint the town some color other then red!!  Hurry back Tana, we need to paint the town and let them know we are here!!
