Craziness

I did not realize it has been a few days since I put anything new on my blog!
Last Friday our school played Clovis West. Because we share the stadium, they were Home side and we were the Visitors. I am just glad that I did not need to work the concession stands! I had too much to get done before Saturday. We won and so far we have onlylost one game and if that team gets disqualified we will be undefeated!! YEAH!!!!
Saturday was Veronica and Clifford Gilbert's reception at my house. And it was also Rebecca's WBA Competition in Modesto. It was the first one we did not go to. But I did get a picture of her in her uniform. Check them out on my Facebook. I will post them here when I get home. Forgot to do that last night.
The reception was open house, so people came and went. All in all in went pretty good. People loved the cake and everyone seemed to have a good time. Christopher and Amber did their usual try to get everyone to pay attention to them. They seem to think that everyone that comes to our house is there to see them. They both got sent to their rooms after I told them to stop for the fourth time. I gave them enough warning and they did not listen, so they got time out.
Rebecca did not get home until around 1 am. But they won first place and sweepstakes. Sweepstakes is sort of like Grand Prize. They put 3A, 4A and 5A first place winners together and whomever has the higher score gets Sweepstakes. That is what I am told, if that is wrong, I do not know. I am just happy that we won!!
Pictures are all at Facebook.com. Search my name if you do not have me as one of you friends and I will add you and you can see the pictures.

Just bugging me

This has been bugging me for awhile now. So I am going to get it off my chest so to say. Why are there people out there, that have to make everything everyone else's fault. No matter what they do it is always someone else's fault. They refuse to accept any of the blame on themselves. And they also only tell half the story and make themselves look so pityful and the other person look like the most evil person in the world.
The person being blamed. can not defend themselves, because the blamer has everyone else snowed as to what is really happening. They just cannot live without drama, they just need everyone to feel sorry for them. I hate that!! I just want to smack the blamer in the back of the head and tell everyone the entire truth! But I have to remember the old saying, "what goes around, comes around." So the blamer will eventually get their's and the blamee will be cleared of all blame. And I hope it is soon, because I am so ready to tell everyone the blamer is talking to, the truth!
My father was like that and because of him, my family hates me and wants nothing to do with me! He turned everything around and made himself out to be the innocent one and Richard and I the evil ones! He was a great manipulater and liar. I know that now he has accepted what he has done and has repented for it beyond the veil (am I suppose to capitalize that?). I know this because, I finally got the promptings to submit his name to the temple for baptism and everything else. I did not do the work for him, because I was not comfortable asking Richard to be baptized by proxy for a man that made him miserable and my daughters' lives with him miserable. I know he has accepted the Gospel(capitalized, right?) and is doing what he needs to be doing up there. I have made the choice that down here, I do not want to be sealed to my parents when they die, but once I am beyond the veil(still wondering if I should capitalize), my children can do it for me. I hope one day to be able to decide different, but as of now, no. My family still treats me like everything is my fault and they are the innocent bystanders. I hope the person I mentioned in the beginning will realize their mistakes and make amends, then maybe they will be able to have the life they want so badly.

Young Women Star Awards

Rebecca and ReAnna went to the YW Star Awards Sunday night. They dressed up in formals and were presented awards. ReAnna was so happy to be all dressed up and getting her moment in the sun. Raelyn Done did her hair and I did her makeup. Veronica Gilbert did Rebecca's hair and I again did her makeup! I am so asking Krista next time for help with the makeup!! I do ok but not that good!
They had asked me about three weeks ago to do a two minute segment on both girls for something. My wanting to be an actress, helped Richard to easily decide that I would do it.
Richard says Rebecca was crying over what I said about her. I just told the truth! She and I have not had the greatest relationship, but we are working on improving that. Step by step. There is not enough room on this blog to explain why, but most of it is because of my family and the way they treated me growing up. No love, so I have to learn to show love. I am doing better and working everyday on it.
But it was nice to see the girls all dressed up and getting awards! Their moment in the sun!

Our Crazy Weekend

This weekend was nutso and my house now looks the part. BHS beat San Joaquin Memorial at football. But that was not much of a Friday, Saturday was the crazy day!!
It started out at 9 am, getting Rebecca to school for a 3 hour practice before we left for Merced. We had to pack up all the trucks with the food, instruments, uniforms, props, etc. I followed Richard in the food truck, we had to be there early to set up and get the food ready. The kids would be there around 5:30 and hungry!
We got there about 3:30 and this one guy was mad because we were all arriving at different times. I am sorry we can not afford a caterer, so we have to be there early to set up. We eventually got in and set up everything. We realized we forgot matches and had to borrow some from another school.
We warmed up the beans, meat and cheese. Our dinner for the kids was nachos, taco salad or garden salad. Most ate nachos and cookies. Amamzingly enough we ran out of bananas! The kids ate and then the parents and my three youngest ate. I was running around trying to assemble the thrones and cover them with material so they looked fancy.
I had really chapped lips so the nacho cheese burned my lips! Owie!!
I was then recruited as a Pyramid puller. I had to pull an 8X8X8 pyramid from the parking lot to the stadium. Equivalent of my house to Walmart and they were not light! And they had a mind of their own on the cement, but once on the field, they refused to move!! Finally got them on and off the field in under 3 minutes, practically running the entire way. You get deducted points for anything over the 3 minute allowance for prop and equipment set up.
From the back it looked really good! I enjoyed watching it this time.
We cam in first, but Clovis West won Sweepstakes. They are done with their show and we are only halfway done. So next time we should beat the pants off of them. We will be a Fresno State this weekend. If you go, I will be the one pulling a Pyramid and running while doing it.
AND I still do not have a picture of Rebecca in her Uniform!!

Our first competition

Tomorrow is our first WBA (Western Band Association) Competition. We are up against Clovis West in our division. That is the only school in our division at all!! Our show so far looks good. The Pyramids are done all twelve of the huge monstrocities!! 8X8X8, that's feet, large!! Plus I am understanding that we also have 4 huge thrones! The props for this show are HUGE!! And all this for only 6 total competitions! Weird to me, but they say that is how all the schools do it!
So tomorrow we are on our way to Merced College to compete. I will try to get some good shots of Rebecca and the team!! Richard is driving a box truck because someone could not do it at the last minute. Plus we have to be there a little early to help feed the kids nachos.
I am hoping the Gilbert's will be able to watch the three youngest. If it was next week I would be able to afford a sitter, but this week I am stuck. I am crossing my fingers and praying they can do it. I am so nervous! This is my first ever WBA competition ever! I am so musically challenged it is not funny! Seriously though if the fate of the world depended on my musically ability, we are in alot of trouble!! I can not sing, dance or play any musical instrument.
So send all your good thought Rebecca and the BHS band and color guards' way tomorrow evening!!

Halloween Booing

It is that time again! Time to gather some treats and Boo your neighbors! It is great fun for the kids to decide who to Boo! They laugh and giggle the entire time!! We did Erika Luke's house one year and we lived in a completely different neighborhood! Rebecca and ReAnna loved doing it! This year I hope to start it again in my new neighborhood!! Her is the link to get the instructions and signs!! http://familycrafts.about.com/cs/halloween/l/blhalbooed.htm

I would love to hear everyone doing it! It is fun and a good way to share the season without all the pranks!!

Weekend

Friday was crazy!! I worked at my normal job and then went to work at the Buchanan High Football Concessions. I started at 4:30 and was supposed to be off after the end of the third quarter. BUT...... Instead of 20 people showing up to help in 4 booths only 12 showed up! It was crazy and next to impossible to keep up with the customers. We ran out of one's, quarters, soda, ice and hot food and some candy. The parents giving the kids a twenty and then they only buy a $1.50 soda. They were taking all our change!!! We ended up leaving with 2:47 left in the entire game! Then I had to get to Me N Ed's for the after party!! That was crazy, but at least the pizzas were already ordered and we only had to order three extra!!
Then Friday we were in a cleaning frenzy trying to get everything ready for Rebecca's birthday party. It turned out pretty good! Though apparently there is some sort of disease all teenagers get that causes them to scream for no reason and shout I love you to anyone! We need a cure for this.
Then Sunday was our traditional, breakfast between General Conference sessions. We had biscuits and gravy, sausage, hasbrowns and eggs. We had 6 missionaries over, Dan Gilbert and his in laws. It is always so much fun and everyone eats their fill and there are not leftovers!! It is awesome!! Then we settle down and watch the final session of the conference and wait for the Prophet to speak. I love to hear him talk!
Then Sunday night as Rebecca's birthday party we went to the So You Think You Can Dance concert! We had a great time, she spent alot of it with her head on my shoulder. Great Mommy and Daughter time. I took alot of pictures and posted them on my Facebook! Plus I have some movies and I just have to figure out how to post those!!!
Monday was slow and we vegged until bedtime! Today starts the craziness all over again!! AHHH!!!
