Dear Bloggie...

(I probably won't finish this entry today, but well at least I tried ya =])

LIFE

Well life's been pretty normal apart from the weather which is like so unpredictable...
Let's see what have I done for the past 16 days which I didn't update...
My piano cher bombarded my with Grade 4 & Grade 5 music theory books to do...
Of which I'm still at Grade 4 still trying to get used to alto clef...
Come to think of it, why can't musicians just use either Treble or Bass clef...
What's with all these alto and tenor clefs...
Pfft..
Anyway, I went to a couple of concerts...
Well actually only two...
Manjusri/GESSband concert, and TPJC concert...
I shan't comment on Manjusri's concert for no reason...
But TPJC...
Not that I have alot to say...
To sum things up...
The hall is VERY VERY echoey...
I know it's not the band's fault as the venue was changed last minute...
But looking from the bands point of view...
The dynamic changes weren't that attractive enough...
Plus there were alot of players who were off tempo...
Apart from all that, the songs played had deep meaning and the percussion section was the strongest that day...

Why am I talking about band stuff under my LIFE section...
Nvm, just take it with a pinch of salt...
So apart from my music theory books which i've been bombarded with...
I'll be having exams in approximately 5 weeks time...
And honestly saying, I haven't prepared anything yet...
Ok this shall go into the SCHOOL section below...
So life has always been about being at home basically...
Been waking up late due to heavy sleeping...
Staying up late cause there's no school....
Been playing my PSP all day too...

Last Thursday I went to a mosque to witness lamb slaughtering...
With years of experience, I wasn't squeemish at all...
Just that the smell of the blood is very strong...
Which made me very dizzy and went home after eating Briyani...=X
I didn't go out the whole day that day...
Was supposed to visit my both grandmas', but my head just disagreed...
So I stayed at home on my bed lying down not doing anything...
The moment I got hungry, my mom came back at the right time to bring back food....
Had lunch/dinner and went back to bed...
Shortly after, I went online...

Lets see what else I can dump in this LIFE section of mine...
I guess there's nothing much...as expected...
The lesser time I go MIA from blog, the lesser the entries gets, makes sense...
Oh and did anyone realise my new blogskin?
I just designed it just now...
Pretty neat huh?
If anyone has any complaints please do so through my tagboard...
Now on to the next section of the blog...

SCHOOL

I've mentioned above about having exams in 5 weeks time...
And seriously, I'm not very fond of knowing that info...
Scares the crap outta me...
Haven't studied a single thing...
Been skipping lectures like nobodies business...
I am doomed!
But not to worry, I shall study, cause my future depends on it!
(i should really stop sounding so heroic like that)

I'm having holidays now..
In fact, I'm in the middle of holidays now...
Halfway through and halfway more to kill before the short term 4 starts...
As always, I've always got something to bitch about school...
And this time is the PBILs...
WHY OH WHY, did they give PBIL at the very last few weeks of school...
All the time in my mind now during this hols is PBIL...
Even my groupmate has been pestering us about the PBIL...
Last semester also we had the same problem...
The school is starting to get on my nerves...
Cause projects require TIME to complete...
What do they expect us to do in one week with a PBIL???
*rhetorical question, not to be answered*

Ok I shall not bitch too much...
On to the next section!

BAND

Ok for band...
I've got nothing!
I mean really...
Except for promoting my band(SP) concert...
It's on the 6th of January, 5pm at VCH...
It's called Musical Delights...
The repertoire for the concert is...

Overture to Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg - by Richard Wagner
The Inn of Sixth Happiness - by Malcolm Arnold
Willson Suite Mvt.3, "Hurricane" (ft. soloist Kelvin Tan) - by Robert W. Smith
Ghost Train Mvt.1 - by Eric Whitacre
Flourish for Wind Band - by Ralph Vaughan Williams
Orient Express - by Philip Sparke
Tintin - by Dirk Brossé / arr: Johan de Meij

I heard from my senior there's more repertoire...
Oh and one more thing, I'm not performing...
So those who wants the tix can ask through me and I'll get from my senior...
Please do go and support as I will...
*somehow I feel bad for not performing for the concert, but it's too late for that now*
All the best SPband! =]
Galaxy Express 999 - by Masanori Taruya

SONGS

I'm afraid there's no songs to update for now...
My friend hasn't been sending me any songs lately...
I only get my songs from my friend...
So those who have songs to recommend, PLEASE SEND ME...
Thank you very very much...

Dear Bloggie...

(Goshness it's been more than a month since I've updated my blog...Better blog now before it's too late...)

LIFE

The last time I blogged, it was about me doing my Music Theory Grade 3 exam...
But after that, I haven't touched my theory books ever since...
Life now is quite boring, if not, very boring...
And the weather wears me down easily...
It has been freezing cold these past few weeks...
If it isn't the rain, it's the buffeting wind smacking my face...
This morning was one fine example...
It was sunny yet I was feeling cold...
My jacket/windbreaker was wet, so wearing it could be disastrous...
I've been going to school late too...
Especially for Tutorials where I can't really wake up early in the morning...
Been skipping afew lectures too as I was too tired...
Why am I writing about school stuff under my life section...
Ok quick change of topic please...

I just bought a new phone afew weeks back...
Been wanting to buy the phone since last year...
And I finally bought it...
It's the Nokia N73 Music Edition...
I know I know, many of you would say it's common...
But it's not a bad phone actually...
Very slick & stylish, it's BLACK too...
The thing I like about the phone is the camera...
3.2 Megapixel camera...
Not too bad if you ask me...
Cost me 198 bucks with 100 bucks trade in...
I was dumbfounded when I realised I didn't copy my contacts to the sim card...
Now all, or should I say, MOST, of my new contacts are bygones...
So that's all about my new phone, shall post pics taken from the camera in another post...

PSP!
I've been playing this game called Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness...
At first I thought it would be some same ol' same ol' RPG game...
But when I got into the hang of it...
It's very VERY addictive...
I got hooked onto the game...
Been playing the game for about 2 weeks and I've completed the game...
All I need now is to wait for my friend to buy his PSP and we can duel!
*I promise to stop playing and start studying soon, well, maybe after the hols*
Played Metal Slug Anthology also...
It isn't THAT fun to play compared to going to an arcade to play it...
But at least you can save money instead of inserting tokens into the machine...
I wonder how the PSP would look like with coin slots...
*runs away from horrid imaginations*
Anyways, those of you who DO have a PSP, do try Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness...

About two weeks back, something seriou happend to me...
I had a very bad reaction to eating prawns...
My eyes swelled(puffed) like balloons...
My whole body and face felt super itchy...
I AM ALLERGIC TO PRAWNS!
*....sob....bybye prawns...i miss u.......*

It was the worse reaction EVER...
Last time only my tongue was swollen...
Now everywhere swelled up...
It's as though I was sprinkled with itching powder everywhere...

Anyways, that night when it happend...
My dad rushed me to Changi Hospital in a cab...
And went straight into the Accidents and Emergency unit...
There i met with several doctors...
Of which one of them gave me a jab on my right shoulder...
*it's still aching now, even though my itchiness has stopped*
And the swelling just started to disappear almost immediately....
Then I was given pills and spent the next 2 hours going in and out of the toilet...
*It's the effect of the pills, it HAS to be*
After which the doc called me in and check that I'm feeling much better...
He asked if I wanted to do an allergy test...
But the moment he said I'll have dots on my arms, I immediately reject the whole idea...
*actually I just don't want to be tested in such a way, I was scared, boohoo*
So I just said that I'll stay away from prawns and see if anything else happens...
*luckily for me, NOTHING happend...phew...*
I then went home and went to sleep...

*While writing this entry, I'm actually thinking what's been happening to me for the past month...*
Oh yea, due to my absolutely boring life, those up there ^ are the only interesting things which happend to me...
So that's why I haven't been updating much on my life...

SCHOOL

Some of us hate it, some of us love it, some of us simple DREAD it...
Yes people, it's school...
Please ignore all the school stuff I typed in the LIFE section...
My mind got carried away for a moment...
*and obviously I'm too freakin lazy to change/edit it...*
So let's talk about school shall we...
I've been skipping quite alot of lessons due to my laziness and boredom...
Of which I know I'll have to buck up when term 4 starts...
On the other hand...
My Lab Practicals are extremely good...
Most of my Labwork marks are more than 90...
I must say I'm good at following instructions...
The only Lab I'm struggling with is DCS lab...
All the loopback loopback stuff makes me all loopy...

On Wednesday after my GEMs test, I had to go for this STUPID sports day thing la...
Firstly I'm pissed because I had other plans for that time...
Secondly we wasted our time there as it was raining and our "CHEER" wasn't that loud...
Thirdly, I was DRENCHED, my bag and shoes were WET...
Our attendance wasn't taken too, so its as if we were never there...
Seriously, using GYL members to do this kinda thing is damn CHEAP...
I am NEVER going for GYL camp EVER again...
And I thought I learned my lesson from last year...
Freaking Rediculous...
Ok I've finished bitching about that STUPID event...=D

I did my MST(Mid Semester Test) and got back the results of four of my papers...
Of which I passed 3 and failed 1...
Which is quite an improvement compared to last semester when I failed all but one...
Even though I'm glad, I'm still not satisfied as there were many times I wish I could do better..
*but I guess I gotta do better next time?*
Shall not emphasis/dwell on my MST too much...
*as thinking about causes a slight explosion in my bladder*
In fact, I shall not talk about school anymore for this entry...

BAND

The band, NASband, had their band camp this week...
From Monday to Friday...
I came for all three days but didn't stay long...
On Monday I came at around 1pm...
The band was having combine under Ms Leong in the AV room...
*I walked ALL THE WAY back from the temporary canteen to the AV room*
They were playing Habitat, I never heard the recording before though...
But when I tried playing the eupho part, it's not that difficult...
Not that high notes but quite challenging rhythms...
After Combine was break but the band couldn't leave the school as lunch was provided...
I know I shouldn't talk about the food and be grateful but the food sucked big time...
After lunch was time to watch the video on maintanence, AGAIN...
We moved from the AV room to the Computer Lab to 3I1 classroom...
Which took up most of our Sectionals time...
And the video took quite long also...
After which was sectionals which wasn't really sectionals...
As there were alot of sections cramping and practicing in one room...
So everyone was basically doing their own thing...

Then had combined at around 4+...
Played that Fundamental Book which is new...
Played that for half an hour, considered warm up...
Then played Habitat and Seagate Overture...
Nothing interesting happend during combined...
After combine was Marching...
I didn't really pay attention to their marching as I was practicing on the Eupho...
At the same time I was teaching Terrence how to play high notes...
*the security guard has a knack for calling my name, i find it irritating, somehow*

On Tuesday I reached the school at 4.30pm...
Ms Leong was taken them combined...
Played Habitat again...
But now I was focusing on the Tubas...
After combined they sort of played tug of war...
Which was a disaster when the cloth used to tie the "rope" together tore...
In the end everyone played Captain's Ball of which I joined in the fun too...
But there were WAYYYYY too many people playing at the same time...
My cute junior got smashed in the face with the ball and has dots on her face...
Poor cute junior of mine...
After captain's ball was dinner...
Went to outside NPCC room to eat our dinner...
XueTing keep hitting me when I disturbed her...
*Seriously it's getting old...*
I couldn't finish the food as it sucked big time again...

After dinner some of us played heart attack for awhile...
It was fun until we all had to report at the AV room for Band Meeting...
*I shall not disclose any info about the band meeting*
I went home at around 8+....
I actually felt like staying over, but the thought of having school the next day...
It just made me feel uneasy...

I came back to school on Wednesday for their last day of band camp...
Out of all the 3 days of band camp, I find that on wednesday was the most productive sectionals ever...
I took the Tuba and Bass Clarinet...
We did a VERY long warm up...
Shenghao looked as though he was gonna faint...
*who ask you not to sleep enough the night before...*
We then went through Seagate Overture...
Some of the parts I focused on, others I just ask them to play through...
And since I only had an hour...
I couldn't work on Habitat...
So after finishing Seagate Overture, the band had combined...
I stayed till 12 and left cause I had GEMs test in school...
Which I rushed to the bus stop just to see one 19 drove past me...
Ok, shall not talk about school!
*speaking of which, I haven't bitched about getting drenched yesterday..it shall be edited into the school section*

So that's band camp...
And there's no OFFICIAL band prac during the whole month of december..
Of which I shall make an UNofficial band prac sectionals...
And if they want to combine, can call me down and I shall conduct combine...
I'm done with band's entry!

SONGS

Ok...
Recently I've been listening to....
C21 - You are the one
Chris Daughtry & Brian Howes - Over you
Just these two songs...
I find them very meaningful...
Oh yar, one more song to add to the collection...
Rainbow Connection by John Michael Higgins & His Symphony Of Guys

So that's all for my 1 month plus disappearence from blogging... I hope it covers everything...
