Ugly...

Christmas sweaters....and sweater pants!

We recently had a party celebrating warm,
fuzzy, ugly seasonal sweater fashion.

Hopefully I won't offend anyone with this post!
If you are a school teacher,
sing in a christmas choir,
ring the bell at Walmart or just really love
this time of year-you know you have one.
Wear it with pride!

Dance

Kaitlyn went to a "best dress" dance at her school last night.
Here she is with her good friend Lucy. They looked pretty!
Didn't I just drop her off at kindergarten?

not so creepy...

Seahawk...
a dunkin' donut (slam dunkin', that is..)

And, well, Jack- in a box.

I have to boast a little by saying that all
of the first graders thought Jack's costume was the best!

And he came in second place at our ward
halloween party, only to loose to the bishop.
We are so proud of our Jack (in a box).

It's been a crazy, busy and fun several months!
We got a little behind on our blogging...due to computer glitches,
a bit of laziness, and a lot of traveling!
Here is a long (sorry) recap of what the Findlay's have been up to....
Chris and Melissa go to Hawaii
Chris and I had the opportunity to spend a week in Hawaii
in October for a little work, and lots of play.
This is the great hotel we stayed at...the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

This was the amazing view from our room. It was beautiful!

We did the token touristy stuff in Oahu,
like visiting the Dole Pineapple Plantation.

We got to see the beautiful temple and took
this picture during the 5 minutes that it rained on our entire trip.

We had a great dinner at the Polynesian Cultural Center Luau.

This guy from Samoa was hilarious. Had to get a picture with him.

We spent some time at Pearl Harbor.
This flag is over the USS Arizona Memorial.

Operating a submarine looks pretty complicated to me!

We had a lot of fun spending time with a few
of Chris' co-workers from Microflex.

Waikiki Beach

On our way to Honolulu, we had a bit of a detour
to Portland (courtesy of Delta Airlines).
So we went to the temple. It is a beautiful building, tucked in the trees.

Family trip to Reno/Lake Tahoe

We went to Reno with our friends the Heatons
for the Air Races in September and got to spend
some time on the rocks at Lake Tahoe.

Back to School!

Cameron is a 6th grader and Jack is in 1st.
My days are free!!!

Kaitlyn is loving 9th grade..

Spending time with family

We took Grandma and Grandpa Nielsen and
my parents up to Bear Lake for a day...
And Jack tried to beat grandpa at old maid.

We spent time in Meridian, Idaho for family time
and the blessing of our newest member, Izabel.

We also went to Washington for our yearly visit...

Spent some time with the animals at the fair...

and pretty much
Lived at the Lake

We took several trips to the lake for lots of beach time with friends and family

The climbing tree is a hot spot at the lot.
The beach is always better with friends!

Camping trip to Palisade Park in Manti

In July we took a trip with several friends to a great campground
just outside of Manti for some lake time, golf and 4 wheelin'.

This is a view of the campground and lake. We had a blast!

It was a crazy, fun summer and it went by way too fast!

living in a small town...

We recently spent a day celebrating Pleasant View Founders Day.
The day began with a very loud cannon at 6:30 and a 5k at 7:00.
This was my second 5k this month...I think I've caught the running bug.

A parade followed with tons of candy for all...

and neighborhood buddies...

Kaitlyn was in the parade this year with the honor society officers...

They threw candy and sprayed us with water guns.
This was the float they decorated-

The day ended with a great community salmon bake and fireworks at the park.

Is this Mayberry or what??
