Trying to play tennis with Chewie around is absolutely impossible... If only we can train her to do this upon command... she can replace those ball pickers at tournaments.

Cooked some laksa... we cannot find any good laksa here. So, have to make my own. All the ingredients are available here from the galangal to the heh koh... to even the laksa leaf which is called 'rauram", which i think is Thai?!

This is Gaudi's La Padrera/Casa Mila in Barcelona, Spain. Spectacular!

It's good to be out of the routine. Seeing, tasting and experiencing new things.

Tapas ....... I love tapas!!!!! it's somewhat like dimsum... just small portions of delicious food served in small plates to be shared by all. On left is the squid, then meat balls in some sauce (can't remember what sauce) and bread with tomatoes and olive oil, catalan style.....

doesn't the guy in the center remind you of Don Johnson.... he was teased heavily for dressing that way..... in pic is Nuria, Danny and Oscar! I am too busy stuffing my face with food !

This is Arroz Negros...... Black Rice. The color comes from the ink of squids. The dish is actually quite good. Not my fav.... but it tastes way better than it looks. YUM!

Still in Park Guell, posing for a picture with Nuria and Barry. It's such a big park and there's so much to see. And it's so different than anything I've seen before. there's rarely any straight lines. there's lot's of use for tiles and mosaics. I felt like I was inside someone's fantasy land.

Antoni Gaudi's Park Guell... such a remarkable man who died in such unfortunate circumstances. He was hit by a tram and died a few days later in a pauper's hospital because no one recognised him.

What bliss!!! Bet you didn't know a dog could smile like that. This shot was taken at a lake close to our Florida home. That was our routine, we would walk chewie in the evening, stopping by the lake to look at the ducks. Chewie's a sneaky little bugger; she loves scaring the ducks by walking slowly close to them then sprinting to cause them to fly. What simple pleasures.... whatever makes her smile!

Oh... The blue sunny skies of Florida. A nice day to be out at the beach. That's my puppy from hell, Chewie. The worst dog ever..... she pulls on her leash, she jumps and she humps.... but she's still so very much loved and spoilt to eternity.
If you haven't gone to see the movie 'Marley and Me', then GO. It's based on the novel of the same title, by Josh Grogan about his life with his dog Marley. It's not the best movie I must admit, but it really was a surprisingly good one. I went in expecting to chuckle and giggle, but came out with my eyes red and wet from tears. Not at all what you'd expect from an Owen Wilson movie. The movie was shot in Florida and Marley was a Labrador retriever with all the shortcomings of my own dog Chewie, which is probably why I related well to it. Lovely movie...... go see it and get the kleenex ready.
