I Got It!!

Thank you, Neila/Wisty!

I received 2 packages from Wisteria Lovegood today in the mail! I am glad Thistle did not intercept either of them. I can only imagine the mess she would have made!

Wisty sent me a Potions kit for making my own lip balm! Rest assured, there will be some Ravenclaws and other HSKS'ers who benefit from this because she sent me *tons* of material!

She also sent me a pattern for a shawl, a MUGGLE sticker from Whimsic, some yarn made of *milk*, and some ID tags for my KP options set (which will definitely come in handy considering my penchant for starting too many projects before finishing!). Thank you, thank you, thank you, Wisteria!!!!

I open one package to find this:

The other package contains a box for Potions:

The various parts of lip balm making:

Milk yarn!

Other bits and pieces:

The shawl pattern!

Thank you again so much, Wisty!!!! :D:D:D:D

You definitely deserve a spot in the Spoiler's Hall of Fame!

Almost Done

So I know I've been slacking in the participation here at HSKS. I have been doing the bare minimum to stay in the swap, but it makes me feel bad that I am not participating more. I have also been spending less time on Ravelry and on the Internet in general lately. I think this is a good thing because it probably means I am less depressed, and it also means I am busy and loving what I do. Imagine that! ha Anyway, because I have been spending less time here, and because my yarn closet is getting a bit ridiculous, I am 99% sure this is my last HSKS swap for awhile. I will still be around the boards lurking and posting, just not participating. It makes me sad because I have made some great friends here and met some awesome people, but my pocketbook is cheering right now. :) lol

Soooooooo Busy!

Hello All! I have been super busy, so I apologize for not participating as much as I usually do. Sweet Charity, the musical I am in, opened this week and we had dress/tech this week before we opened, basically meaning we've had a lot of late nights and 7 shows this week! It's been good so far and we are only getting better! I am so freaking excited, but also ready to move on to the next thing.

In other news, I will be starting to take some acting classes at the local community college in the fall. It should be fun.

And Violet, your package is almost ready to go, I just need to pick up a couple more things and then ship it off!

Oh So Much Mal...

I went to San Francisco this weekend to meet up with some girls from the Mal Junkies group, and I bought so much yarn!!

We met at Imagiknit, which is probably the best yarn store I've ever been in - two rooms of floor to ceiling yarn. Yum! And, they get all of the test colors and test yarns Malabrigo comes out with. And I have some stuff that only a few others will have! hee I am so freaking excited about all this. I even picked up a skein of Mal Twist, which isn't out til October. It is 100% Baby Merino and soooooooooooooooo silky soft. And the color is great. It's Sealing Wax, a rust-ish color.

For those of you who have not experienced the awesomeness that is Malabrigo, you must give it a try. You'll be hooked!

The Weekend

I got to meet Headmistress Wartbobble this weekend! YAY! We went to Whimsic Alley and then out to lunch. It was a ton of fun and we'll definitely have to do it again! In fact, I can't wait to do it again, and hopefully next time we'll have more time to hang out!

I also attended a masquerade on Sat. night. It was fun, but I wore a corset, so it was hard to dance! There were some great acts and fantastic costumes! I tried to find Neila's daughter, but I think I missed her. :( There was one couple there and I thought it might be her, but she moved before I had a chance to ask.

I am not sure if we're going next year, but if we do, I will definitely be starting a costume soon!

Pictures to come later.
