Goethes Erben was founded in 1989 by Oswald Henke and Peter Seipt. The founding idea was to combine the German spoken word with music theater. Peter left the band soon afterward, and American Mindy Kumbalek joined in February 1991. The debut album "Das Sterben ist ästhetisch bunt" was released in 1991.

In the years to follow, Goethes Erben became renowned for their spectacular live show, which included specials such as live film projections ("Blau Rebell" Tour). In addition to the numerous concerts in Germany, Goethes Erben frequently toured neighboring countries as well, including Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and even Mexico.

On stage, Goethes Erben continually set new accents by experimenting with new elements for each major performance: They worked with a dance ensemble, recruited a live band made up of varying guest musicians, and integrated speaking roles into their performances ("Kondition: Macht!").

Meanwhile Goethes Erben established themselves as favorite festival band as well, playing many large festivals, including headlining the Eurorock Festival in Belgium.

In Mexico City, Goethes Erben headlined an open air festival in the parking lot of the Goethe Institute.

Psychopomps - Assassins DK United

Psychopomps is a Denmark group, founded by Jesper Schmidt (vocals, keys, synths and computers, programming) and Flemming Norre Larsen (programming, lyrics, graphic design) whose are titular from 1991 of what they have defined " terror techno" , a heavy metal industrial feraciously distorted and inspired to criminal sexual fantasies. A sure inficia naivete `For-Death Ravers (Zoth Ommog, 1993), than gets lost in pornographic samplings and harangues against the censorship. The name of Psychopomps comes from the Greek word ψυχοπομπός (psychopompos), literally meaning the "guide of souls", that are creatures, spirits, angels, or deities in many religions whose responsibility is to escort newly-deceased souls to the afterlife. Their role is not to judge the deceased, but simply provide safe passage. Frequently depicted on funerary art, psychopomps have been associated at different times and in different cultures with horses, whippoorwills, ravens, dogs, crows, owls, sparrows, cuckoos, and harts.

Children On Stun - Tourniquets of Loves Desire

Children on Stun is the name of a gothic rock band from England. Formed in 1991, the original line-up consisted of Neil Ash, Simon Manning, Simon Treen and Pete Finnemore.

Formed in August 1991 and taking their name from a song by the band The March Violets, Children on Stun appeared to enjoy a relatively large amount of success in a short space of time. Treen left within a year of the band forming. The band's first gig took place at a club called "The Crypt" in Hastings. In the same year, the band also recorded their first demo, entitled "Elegance", and also made an appearance in Mick Mercer's second book on the gothic rock genre: this boosted the band's popularity and gained them much publicity.

The band went on to release two more demos in 1993, entitled "Monochrome I" and "Monochrome II". They used the profits from these demos to release their first single, "Hollow", which became a club hit throughout Europe and the UK. The band secured a record contract with Cleopatra Records in 1994 and released the album Tourniquets of Love's Desire. This album was well received within the UK goth scene and boosted the band's popularity.

Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds - Let love in

Después de ser pioneros del goth -The Birthday Party- dejó se existir como grupo en 1983, es entonces cuando el cantante/compositor Nick Cave formó a los -Bad Seeds-, un grupo post-punk formado por uno de los miembros originales de Birthday Party, Mick Harvey en la batería, el bajista de Magazine Barry Adamson y el guitarrista de Eisturzende Neubauten Blixa Bargeld. Con los Bad Seeds, Cave continuó explorando sus obsesiones con la religión, la muerte, el amor, Estados Unidos, y violencia con un híbrido de blues, gospel, rock y un post-punk muy artístico, aunque de una forma más convencional que sus trabajos previos en Birthday Party.

After goth pioneers The Birthday Party called it quits in 1983, singer/songwriter Nick Cave assembled the Bad Seeds, a post-punk supergroup featuring former Birthday Party guitarist Mick Harvey on drums, ex-Magazine bassist Barry Adamson y Eisturzende Neubauten guitarrist Blixa Bargeld. With the Bad Seeds, Cave continued to explore his obsessions with religion, death, love, America, and violence with a bizarre, sometimes self-consciously eclectic hybrid of blues, gospel, rock, and arty post-punk, although in a more subdued fashion than his work with the Birthday Party. Keeping the same line-up from Henry's Dream, Nick Cave and company turn in yet another winner with Let Love In. Compared to Henry's Dream, Let Love In is something of a more produced effort -- longtime Cave boardsman Tony Cohen oversees things, and from the first track, one can hear the subtle arrangements and carefully constructed performances.

Excelente soundtrack dirigido artísticamente por Trent Reznor (NIN), en el cual hace una completa selección de temas con distintas influencias, desde la cadencia de Leonard Cohen, pasando por la energía de Patti Smith, hasta el heavy metal de las chicas de L7, todo intercalado con diálogos de la película.

Sin más que decir, una excelente obra, si no lo tienes, esta es tu oportunidad.

Un must de FOH.


Excellent soundtrack directed artisticaly by Trent Reznor (NIN), in which makes one complete selection of tracks with different influences, from the cadence of Leonard Cohen, passing through the energy of Patti Smith, to the heavy metal of the girls of L7, everything mixed with dialogues of the film.

Without further comment, an excellent work, if you do not have it, this is your opportunity.

Diamanda Galás es una destacada cantante de ópera, artista, compositora y pianista Greco-Norteamericana. Conocida por su experiencia con el piano, así como su distintiva voz de ópera, que tiene una amplitud de tres octavas y media. Usa frecuentemente nuevos estilos de cantar, con gemidos, gritos y glosas que le han dado un estilo muy especial. Se le ha comparado frecuentemente con Maria Callas.

En este disco en particular se hace acompañar del legendario bajista del grupo Led Zeppelin, John Paul Jones, disfrútalo.

Diamanda Galás is an outstanding Greco-North American singer of opera, artist, composer and pianist . Well-known by its experience with the piano, as well as its distinguishing voice of opera, that has a eighth amplitude of three and half octaves. She frequently uses new styles for singing, with moaned, shouts and glosses that have given a very special style. Has been compared frequently with Maria Callas.

In this record in particular it is made accompany by the legendary bass player of Led Zeppelin John Paul Jones, enjoy it.

Banda Argentina, integrada por Daniel López Quiroga, Leticia Solari y Augusto Maurandi. Grabado en 1994 con la disquera Hyperium (vieja conocida de los asiduos a Fields of Haze).

Único trabajo de la banda, después del cual desaparecieron de la escena musical y pública (aparte de una colaboración en un disco argentino de tributo a The Cure). Las razones solo ellos la saben.

Por lo pronto, tenemos su legado Sun fell, cuyas pistas recuerdan a Cocteau Twins y a The Jesus & Mary Chain.

Kraftwerk ('central energética') es un grupo musical vanguardista alemán decisivo para el desarrollo de la música electrónica. Formado originalmente por Ralf Hütter y Florian Schnider en 1970, adquirieron fama tras la incorporación de Wolfgang Flür y Karl Bartos.

Las técnicas musicales y los instrumentos introducidos por ellos son hoy básicos, sin embargo, fueron realmente innovadores en su tiempo. Por las experimentaciones realizadas y por constituir la base sobre la que luego se asentó el género, son considerados como los padres de la música electrónica, ya que fueron los primeros en tocar música basada íntegramente en la utilización de instrumentos electrónicos. Adoptaron un estilo original, no restringido a la experimentación sónica.

Tras sus primeros discos experimentales, en 1974 se hicieron famosos en todo el mundo con Autobahn cuya canción de veintidós minutos demostró su confianza con los sintetizadores. Después siguieron tres álbumes muy influyentes para la música pop: Radioactivity (1975), Trans-Europe Express (1977) y The Man Machine (1978).

Cabe resaltar las canciones 'Les Mannequins', donde ponen en énfasis la importancia de la cultura robótica y en cuestionamiento la vida humana. 'Radioactivity' que aunque con una letra muy básica y de fácil comprensión, dió uno de los mayores éxitos al grupo. Por su parte 'Hall of mirrors' pone en entredicho la vida sencilla y llena de éxitos de las llamados -estrellas del espectáculo- haciéndo una reflexión muy certera acerca de la falta de identidad por la que muchas veces pasan a lo largo de sus vidas, esta canción fué hecha cover un sinfín de ocasiones, entre los más destacados se encuentra 'Siouxsie and the Banshees' en su álbum 'Through the looking glass'.

Esta producción recopila los tracks más relevantes de sus tres primeras producciones.

Leather Strip - Solitary Confinement

Leaether Strip es el proyecto solista del artista danés de música electrónica industrial Claus Larsen. Descubierto por el artista alemán y productor Talla 2XLC, Leaether Strip rápidamente construyó un sello muy particular en Europa a principios de los años 90.

Después del gran éxito "Japanese Bodies", el álbum debut (The Pleasure of Penetration en 1990) de inmediato se estableció como un clásico, con un ritmo agresivo estilo electrónico con voces distorsionadas que se ha convertido en renombre.

Solitary Confinement es su álbum de 1992, grabado con la compañía ya extinta Zoth Ommog, en el cual continúa explorando un estilo electro industrial de corte duro. Como acostumbra incorpora voces de películas en diferentes cortes del disco, como - A Boy and His Dog - .
