THANK YOU ALL~

Haven't been blogging for a long time.
Thought that there's really a need to do so, to keep my memories afresh.

And so, yesterday marks the last day of competition with 933.
Having left 883 on 19 June, these simply means that you will not hear me on radio anymore.
It's really kinda sad, cos afterall I've been doing radio for three years.
Now, whenever I come across some entertainment news, I will think of using it for my show.
Then, only to realise that, eh?! I've left radio. -_-"
I really hope that this part of my life is just a break and not an end.
But well, what's there for me in the future?
God knows.

Not making into the finals doesn't make me sad or despondent.
It just makes me realise once again that humans are really ugly.
It's such a saddening fact.
Often, I hear from lots of people that such competitions are always kelong.
One good example would be Yihao.
Till date, I think he did really well for his SS competition.
He was really afraid. But whenever he stands on stage, he gave his all and very best.

I hope that I at least made you proud.
Though I was really scared and nervous (I don't know for what), but I tried my best.
I tried to calm myself and forced myself to have a clear mind of what I wanted to say.

Oh anyway, I just wanted to share how kelong was it.
We were told to select out topic when we were in the lift.
I was the last one to pick. And lucky me, I was given the ohso famous 锋芝恋.
When we went up the studio, we started preparing our speech.
At the same time, Jiafa thought that we shouldn't be provided with so much time to prepare.
Hence, papers were collected back after 20mins.
Next, they randomly picked the sequence of our appearance.
First was the china girl and I was second.

Prior to the china girl's speech, she was given back the info and had one whole song to prepare.
When it was my turn, I assumed that the preparation time would be the same.
But apparently, no.
I requested my paper from the promo exec when the song started and she told me to wait!
Just nice, Jiafa inserted another song in. And so, I had 2 songs before my speech.
When the 2nd (last) song was left with 1.5mins, she still had no intention of passing me the paper!
I was really pissed and thought in my heart. Even if she didn't wanna give me the paper, I would still present it normally.
But finally, peifen realised that I didn't have the info with me and she told the promo bitch to pass it to me.

I knew that I wouldn't get in la.
It was all written on the face of that bitch.
No matter how well I did, the outcome would've still been the same.
Al because, THEY DON'T LIKE ME.

Whatever it is, fuck it.
I don't care.

Cos even though I lost, in turn I've actually gained alot.
It was really heart warming to see my family being so angry with those idiots.
BF and family were really pissed and stood up for me.
Friends insisted on voting no matter how much they've already spent.
Aunties calling to console and understand more...
So, it's really a blessing in disguise.
THANK YOU ALL!!!

But once again, I'm lost.
Just what plans do you have for me God?
No Singtel, no radio.
What's left?
Please guide and I'll follow... :)

TAIWAN!

I've been telling people around me that I'm really excited for my TW trip, cos it's been my dream to be there. All for 粉圆综合水果冰. But no, I didn't get to eat it there. One of my regrets perhaps? But anyway, I've decided to blog my 5D4N trip down for my own memorial. HAHA. But of course, feel free to refer, if you're ever gonna tour TW.
BTW, our exchange rate was 22.785.
So, here we go!

Day 1:
Changi Airport> Taipei Taoyuan Airport> 西门町> 五分埔> 饶河夜市> 西门町.

We paid TWD260/ pax for a 2-way transport by FeiGou which sends us to our lodging place (峨嵋街,万华区 in 西门町) and also our route back to airport on the last day. Approximately a 1 hour route.

西门町.
捷运站:西门,六号出口.The place we stayed was really cool.
It's like an apartment which fits 4 in each.
4 nights costs us around SGD100/ pax.
Most importantly, there's alot of facilities catered inside and it's a 1min walk to MTR!

西门 is kinda convenient for travelling around!

To travel around conveniently and cheap;y, we purchased the MTR Card at TWD500,
which has TWD400 of value in it.

五分埔.
捷运站:后埤山.
I don't really recommend people to shop there as there's hardly anything!
Even if there's things you like, it's most likely gonna cost a bomb!

But.. You can find 胡须张's 卤肉饭 on your way to 五分埔!
It's a must try! :)

They serve this 玉米农汤 which is damn nice too!
But, all the corn soups which I tried in TW are all kinda tasty!

饶河夜市!
It's like a 15 mins walk from
五分埔.
But there's countless good food and little things/ clothes to get from there!
Must go!

*************************************************************************************
Day 2: 西门町> 泡温泉(新北头)> 士林夜市 (剑谭)> 钱柜KTV.

We wanted to shop around 西门町 for that morning.
So We ended up going all around, buying stuffs.
From swimming costume to cosmetics! SHIOK!

The infamous 阿宗面线 is just opposite our place.
A 10s walk probably? HAHA.
And the Q is never ending, all day long!

泡温泉.
捷运站:新北头(在北头转).
Bet many people wouldn't wanna miss out the itinerary of hot spring bath.
But I would recommend that you guys prepare more money to go for the real luxurious ones.
And, do remember to book first!
Or, you'll end up like us! Walking around the whole 新北头, realizing that most hot springs are expensive and fully boooked!

We went to this DAMN DAMN DAMN lok kok one that I didn't even wanna take a photo of it.
Sucks, totally.

Even the river water in 新北头 is burning hot!
Check out the smoke!

After the hot spring, we visited 士林夜市 (捷运站:剑谭).
It was so so so good to shop and not as crowded as 饶河夜市.
End up, I totally forgot to snap any pictures!!! :(
But! It's definitely a must go! Not so much for the food, but more of shopping!!!

Oh, we also visited the
钱柜KTV near our place.
Damn worth it! Loads of food and 2 hours of K at only SGD13/pax! :)

*************************************************************************************
Day 3: 龙山寺(龙山寺)> 淡水(淡水)> 师大夜市(台电大楼).

Having 龙山寺 planned in our itinerary was all meant for yaya's papa.
So, we were only there for a little while.
If you liked the movie 艋胛, you should pay a little visit there.
Cos I think the movie was filmed there or something.

A very pretty waterfall spotted in 龙山寺!

The second stop of that day.
淡水.
It's the last stop of red line. So yes, it's freaking far!!!
But definitely worth the go! Cos there's lots of 土产 and stuffs to buy at 淡水老街!

Another visitors' hot spot!
淡水渔人码头, 情人桥!
There's really nothing at 渔人码头 besides this bridge.
So, no need to spend extra money on the ferry tickets la. HAHA.

After 淡水, we chionged back to unload our stuffs at the apartment and chionged to 师大夜市.
If you fancy fashionable clothes from blogshops, it's recommended hat you visit there!
If not, at least go there for the 卤味! Cos it's damn freaking nice!!!!!

*************************************************************************************
Day 4: 新光三越 (中山)> 鼎泰丰 (忠孝复兴)> 西门町> 士林夜市 (剑谭).

As above, we went to 新光三越. It's some what like our Takashimaya, a high class shopping center that carries big brands. Nothing much. Unless you have stuffs to buy from brands like Shu Uemura, Lancome, etc. Not especially cheap though.

Next, we went to 鼎泰丰 which we've been searching high and low for, cos, according to many people, it's much tastier there compaed to sg's. But NO! It didn't taste exceptionally good and it as freaking expensive!!! So.. Not recommended. But.. FYI, it can be found at MTR Station: 忠孝复兴, B2 of SOGO 复兴馆.

After that, Yaya, Kaining and Fabian had plans to cut and colour their hair.
I insisted on not doing, so I started sourcing for cheap manicures.
End up, I was pyschoed by yaya to colour too! :(
Cheap though!
There was a promotion for 3 pax and up @ SGD57 for cut/ colour/ treatment/ free conditioner.

Told the staylist that I wanted a different LIGHT colour tone.

Yaya requested for the same colour which the stylist was sporting.
Brownish green.
And he really looked like a brocolli! HAHAHA.

End up, he walked out of the salon as an angry and disappointed man!
Cos...
It turned out black!!!! HAHAHA!
But he went back the next day to do for free la.
And the colour turned out fine~

My colour turned out good and is very very Jap!
BTW, we went to 士林夜市 again after that.
Like I told you, we really loved that place, alot! HAHAHA.

*************************************************************************************
Day 5 (Last Day): 西门町

We wanted to shop around 西门町 on our last day, as shops normally around open at 11 or 12pm and we had to take the bus to airport at 4pm. BUT! Yaya spent his time on retouching his hair while Kaining and I spent all ours on making your nails. It tooik me around 2.5h to get all done. But! All worth it!!!!

Acrylic Crystal Nails @ TWD 2259.

*************************************************************************************

Finally look at the number of bags 8 people had in all.
Damn kua zhang!!!!
And the number increased after Mr Ho (the man in the pic) purchased alot alot of alcohol.
HAHA!

Here's the food I brought back! :)

Good buy!!!
TWD 199 ONLY!
Good buy!!!
TWD 199 ONLY!

The non-edible collection!

Oh, I was eyeing on this watch on the flight to Taipei.
But because I fell asleep before the stewardess could push the duty free cart to MY seat, I gave it up.
Then, on the flight back, the same thing happened.
HAHAHA.
BUT! Because I have the sweetest bf on Earth, this "dream watch" was given to me as a present.

I was sleeping happily with my head and pillow on yaya's lap, but he woke me up and said he needed the loo.
End up, he went to buy the watch!
And know when he gave it to me?
When I woke up from my sleep and was back to reality that our TW trip ended.
HAHA.
When I told him I'm very sad to leave TW, actually.

So...
THANK YOU BB YAYA! :)
BIG LOVE!

Oh-My-God Oldies

I was really excited when I found these on Youtube.
I was once very addicted to these songs when I was in my secondary school days.
Bet Zhen will agree with me totally.
However, little did I know that this group, A*Teens actually belonged to Disney!
Some sort like Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron kinda thing I guess?

Still, sweet memories~!

Heartache.

I'm sure everyone who has been through a relationship break up will go through these:
You plead.
You beg.

You cry.
You lose all your sensibility and will do anything just to let the person come back.
How dignity and pride crushing is that?
But, will things return to what it used to be?
Yes? No? Maybe?

I can't help but be cheesy to say that just a four letter word, LOVE, is complicated.

Having been through the above, it's nothing but heartache, heart pain.

How easy is it to say, move on. Don't linger anymore.
But is it achievable?

I don't know and I never wanna ever go through this.

Korean Craze

I've never exactly understood the charisma of Korean craze besides SS501.
I've always thought.. "Come on, do the foreign fans even know what are they singing about?!"

Then I came across this Korean variety show, "We Got Married".
Until now, I've watched 2 couples.
Namely Kim Hyun Joong (SS501) & Hwang Bo, Jo Kwon (2AM) & Son Ga In (Brown Eyed Girls).

Kin Hyun Joong & Hwang Bo

Jo Kwon & Son Ga In

"We Got Married" basically pairs 1 male celebrity and 1 female celebrity together and there it goes, they got married. It's really funny and interesting to see them growing as a couple together. Because of WGM, I started to witness the singing abilities of the Korean stars and they are really good!

2AM's "Can't let you go even if I die"

2PM's "I'll be back"

Merry christmas & a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I no longer fancy blogging, as it's really such a hassle!
Still, I will not shut down this space as it contains too much memories.
And who knows?!
I may just fall in love with blogging once again, someday.
You know, Geminis. HAHA.

Anyway.. HAPPY BOXING DAY!
Alright. Not like we celebrate today or something.
So.. BELATED MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Hope every single one of you had fun!

Yaya and I had ours at Novotel, together with his gang of friends.
I think Mad & Wang should have ALL the credits to make the party a successful one.
Thanks guys! =)

And what's after Christmas?!
NEW YEAR!!!!
I'm kinda excited, even though it's a hotel stay (again). HAHA.
But I think we'll be having alot alot of fun.

So.. HAVE FUN PEOPLE!

All because of you, I'm sweetly immersed in l.o.v.e-

Nowadays, I prefer to tweet than blog. Unless necessary, I wouldn't go such great lengths to post something.
And so, of course I considered tweeting this post, but apparently everything wouldn't fit into my 160 words limit of Twitter huh.

Alrighty.
All I wanna say is..
I like how stable and sweet our relationship has been, despite us having been together for the good old 5 years. But of course, these are not for sure and I am not taking such happiness as granted. I thank God and am counting my blessings.

I like.. How sensitive you are towards me.
Just an unintended action, casual remark and you are always able to define the underlying meaning(s) that sometimes even I don't realise. I really wonder how you do it at times. This especially tingles me when I'm feeling down or unhappy.
Example: I was looking at this something that I really like. But due to price considerations, it's a no-no to get it home of course. At such moments, you NEVER seem to fail to ask if I want it. If yes, you'll tell me that you can pay.
Amazingly, such scenario happened N times.

And so..

I like.. How can a no blood relations person know me so freaking well. From what I like to eat, like to play, like to dress and so on. I believe that besides having been together for a memorable 5 years, there must be something else in it.

I like.. How attentive and caring you are towards me. At times you may not even realise, or may just deem it as a casual act. But I've been noticing it all. And yes, please trust that I've been real grateful for these all.
Examples:
*Knowing that daddy peels my prawns for me since young, you decided to take over his role and do it for me, just cause you know I love peeled prawns.
*Knowing that even though I like to eat fish, I hardly really consume it. And that's maybe because i've choked on a fish bone when young. In fact I think you're the one who realised this. So, to convince me into eating fish, you'll pick the fish meat out and ensure me time and again that it's bone free. Haha.

I like.. How you talk to me bout out future, because I've never thought that you'd have considered so far. From where we stay till how much we need and that I've to start working to pay of my debts. I was really, taken aback.

I like.. How you say your family & I are your first priority in life. But I can tell that I'm slowly having a higher percentage of attention compared to your house's.

I like.. How you support me in everything i do. You will always say "just try lo" whenever I'm going to venture out something.

I like.. How you trust me and allow me freedom in all aspects. Be it if it's work or school, you've never interfered or doubted me. Knowing that I've got a hell load of male friends, you've never been jealous. Best, you wouldn't mind if I go out with 1 or 10 guys, all by myself.

Oh my. I've never really realised that there's so many things I like about you. But trust me. I know and will continue to count my blessings. Meanwhile, BB, please bully me lesser and treat me even nicer k? Haha.

Advantages of being a DJ!

I've never really thought of this before till a few moments earlier.
Hahaha!

1. People are very impressed with this job of yours, and look at you in a different way. It allows you to be proud. But, not for me though. I prefer to be low profile. Haha.

2. You get sponsors for quite a number of stuffs. To name a few: Grooming services like hair, nails.

3. You get freebies now and then!
Free movies!!! Free makeup!
Oh. Free concerts for the lucky Mediacorp DJs!

4. Do what you like in between songs. I've been watching Xiaxue's Guide to Life got the past 2 hours. Haha!

5. Meet celebrities! Those lucky Mediacorp DJs get to meet almost all celebrities who step their feet on Singapore. I haven't met any to date.

6. Listen to the latest songs while working and not get sacked, cos it's your job! Haha!

7. Experience life as a celebrity when there's events going on.

8. Read magazines or online gossip articles as much as you want while working whole day long. Cos it your responsibility to digest and share them!

Seems not bad hor this job?
Haha.
I think so too...

Disappointment

I would like to share that:
Officially, I will not be converting my part-time status to full-time with 88.3Jia.
So, I'm actually very lost.
I don't exactly know what can I do in future and if I will like what I will be doing.
This sucks.

Worse, I know my family is very disappointed.
Especially DADDY, my number 1 listener.
I expected that this will happen, yet I prayed for a miracle still.
From Steph not able to be a pilot, till me not able to be a full-time DJ.
My, can you imagine his disappointment?
But of course, many others like Yaya and my friends are disappointed as well.

The worst scenario happened.

Still, I know that He has other better plans for me.
I just need to believe in Him and anticipate.

Just an add on.

I forgot to mention bout these. Those beautiful boxes, wrappers, packagings are specially selected by Mr Ho at many different places.
We were working at Orchard on one of the Saturdays. After that, we took a train to Dhoby Gaut and I circle lined back home. He was supposed to head home too. But I called him after 1.5 hours and he didn't pick up. As usual, I called his sis and she said he went Daiso.
He picked up after several tries and giving excuses like he went out to PS to pee and for dinner, cos he's very hungry.
According to him, I made a nasty comment like.. "Wa. You very fat leh. Keep eating."
In fact, he was at Daiso busy shopping for my stuffs.
I know I know. I'm guilty already.
SORRY BB! Please forget bout this and forgive me k? Haha.
