Hunter 11 Months
One more month until he is a whole year. Crazy! Hunter has changed a lot since last month. For one thing he is finally CRAWLING. He rarely ever scoots on his tummy anymore. He is still slow (thank goodness), but he is getting faster daily. He is also standing up on anything he can get a hold of. He loves to stand! He will let go and clap or grab his tummy while he balances. It is pretty funny. And is is finally realizing that his legs bed, making it easier for him to learn to walk. He hasn't taken any steps on his own, but he will try to walk a little now if you hold both of his hands.
Hunter has also decided that he no longer wants his bottle. We went for about a week without him really drinking anything, I suspect that his teeth are hurting and he didn't want to suck. We are finally getting him to drink some from a cup (not a sippy), but the progress is slow. The Doctor said not to worry about it though because he is still eating like a champ! I have put him back on mostly baby foods again, instead of table food because there is a lot more water in baby food.
Also Hunter has started to play peek-a-boo with us, kind of. He will cover his face, sort of, and kind of talk to himself (it sounds sort of like he is counting under his breath), then we say, "where's Hunter?" and he will take his hands away. I am still trying to get a picture of it.
In other news, because he is not sucking, he has broken himself of his Binky also. This is both good and bad. BAD at night when he wakes up and won't go back to sleep. I have been bad and sit with him for a while, because he wakes Tanner if I don't. I feel like I have a newborn again, being up for 30-60 minutes in the middle of the night again. I hope that this will pass too though:) I think I might put Tanner on a cot in the play room this weekend and let Hunter cry it out. I guess I switched the rooms a little too early, oops.
Oh, one other thing. I think my mellow man is starting to throw "tantrums", at least his version of them. He will lean himself back on his arms and kick his legs a little and whine. Or he will flop on his tummy after crawling a few times and lay his head down and look at you and fuss a little. I actually kind of laugh at him a little, (I know, not good) because it is so not his nature and it is kind of pathetic, compared to Tanner and Jessi. Oh, well. I'm sure he will learn the art soon enough.
A great thing that Hunter is doing is finally laughing a lot more. He finds a lot of things funny once or twice, but it was really hard for us to get him to laugh. He is giving away giggles a lot more now, which we all love, especially the kids.
Lastly, Hunter, my bald baby, is finally getting hair, and it is curly in back!
Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Potty Pirate
My little pirate surprised me this morning about 2:30 by going potty by himself in the middle of the night. I think we can call him officially POTTY TRAINED!!!
Now to teach him pull up his own pants and to sit down in the middle of the night and first thing in the morning so I don't have to clean the floor at 2:30am. Still a very proud MOMMA!

What has Hunter been up to?
Hunter has taken off on his mobility these last 2-3 weeks, especially the last few days. Here are some of his "tricks". Also he finally has both top teeth broken through, and they are coming in fast too.
Hunter spinning
Hunter crawling and scooting
Hunter standing (sorry I don't know how to turn the video)
