Walk-a-thon and Harvest Festival

Jessi's school had a walk-a-thon and Harvest festival back at the end of September. The boys and I tried to keep up with Jessi but she was too fast for us, and the boys were done so we left a little early. But I did get a few pictures.

Then later that night the kids had a blast at the festival, but I didn't get pictures until we got home.

Parent/Child "Outings"

After reading a great article from last April's conference Ensign, MJ and I decided that it would be a good idea to start spending more one-on-one time with the kids. We designated Thursday nights as our "outing" nights. MJ and Jessi started off the rotation, then Tanner and I, then Hunter and MJ, then Jessi and I, you get the picture. So we have really enjoyed the time that we get with the kids one-on-one and they are always super excited when it is their turn.
These are a few picture before we left. I didn't ever get one with Hunter alone with one of us, but he wanted in the pictures with Jessi and Daddy.

Jessi's artwork from last year

So in September in preparation for more artwork to be coming home, we (I) decided that it was time to get rid of some of Jessi's artwork from Kindergarten. These are all the ones she thought she could part with. I thought she did pretty well. Also there has not been too much come home yet, so we still have space on her wall:)

River House August 2011

We were lucky enough to be guests again at the wonderful River House this year. Some wonderful family friends opened their home to us and entertained us all weekend long. We played, relaxed and played some more. Thanks for a wonderful trip Jenny and Paul. Sorry it has taken me so long to document it:)

Gale Reunion August 2011: 3 of 3

Final post for the reunion:)

All about the Lake, Bass Lake to be exact.

So the resort that we stayed at was just a little walk away from the lake. Unfortunately there weren't any good beaches on the side were were staying at so we had to drive a little ways to get to that, but it was still only about 5 minutes drive. Very close and nice.

The lake was relatively warm, but refreshing since it was pretty warm while we were there and I would not be apposed to going back again. We rented a boat and some water toys and bought a few tubes for the kids to play in. Luckily we opted to buy these because we weren't able to bring the boat to shore to pick anyone up, so the tubes became our rafts:)

Anyway, here are the pictures. TONS AGAIN, possibly not in order again:)

On the shore, without the boat.

ON THE BOAT

Can't wait until this summer when we can do it all again.
