We later went down to the Comfort Driving building in Eunos. And I finally signed up for a driver's lisence! This is so exciting. My first practical lesson would be on the 16th of Jan.
Accompanied Dorcas to help in the spreading of the gospel to old folks at the void deck of a HDB flat in Eunos later in the afternoon. Though I was much more of a manual worker who stood around to 'listen'( U see, they were all conversing in Hokkien and I know nuts about it. Ironically, it's even my dialect) and carry things, it was definitely an experience. The folks there were all so cute and nice. It was kind of a feel-good factor thing they gave as I helped. Even though this wasn't the first time I dealt with old folks, it was still something new. Dorcas's father, a pastor, was ever so nice and ever so patient like he has always been from the time I knew him as a primary school kid. That long..Yeah.
They later brought me to the Metro warehouse sale at Expo. Hall 2 I think. They bought a lovely long-sleeved shirt for me and later paid for my dinner..As always. They are just so nice! Aha...Adopt me!!
nay..I still feel things now feels good just the way they are...And I hope it will always be.
Leaving you with this you ponder over by Marlo Thomas:

Job search and Driving Enrollment
Today woke really early and met up with Dorcas at 8.30am just for the sake of looking for a temp job. We visited 3 agencies (1 in Tampines and 2 others in Bugis). It all went pretty well. Career search offered me a job in prudential in the finance department. You can say I was pretty blessed cause the job offer only just came in before I went in to apply. So they called me in the evening as I was shortlisted and requested for me to send down my resume through e-mail. There was this agency( better not toreveal which), that exploited the customers personal information! The person who interviewed me kept smsing personal stuff to me lah! haiz... Why do I meet these kind of people so often. I really was kind of scared even though at the back of my mind I knew that it was just messages. Maybe for more open peeps, just meet a new friend right? But from the way I see it, it just isn't right!

Christmas Party/s
This is the first year where I actually celebrated Christmas with my friends other than with my family and the church. Woke up early and went to Jinny's house along with Siew Yan and Sarah. Before lunch, we had a gift exchange nad opening where everyone was really happy with their presents( I hope). After which, we had a Christmas lunch we cooked ourselves. Being total amateurs, (it was the very first time we were actually cooking) the food turned out better than we expected. And surprisingly as well as fortunately, the main course, tasted the best. We had soup, pasta and salad. The cost price was only about 12 bucks. So it was about $3 per person. It was a cheap and fufilling lunch.. Now I know why people say that the water drunk after a hard day's work tastes esp sweet. Similarly, the food we cooked tasted esp. good even though it was only mediocre.

The Presents we exchanged

Me at work and Eureka! Yummy food.
After lunch it was Girls Gossip Time...chatted and bitched about many things even though I sort of listened more than talked. The whole party lunch thing was great, really enjoyed myself and loved my gifts.
Came home in the evening for a Christmas family party feast. My extended family all came over and together, we ate, sang carols, exchanged presents and later took family photos. This is the ritual for our christmas every year from as long as I could remember. Really cherish times such as these... Even though we do this a dozen times a year, no one ever fails to turn up. Hope to post the photos up ASAP( that is, after I figure out how to).
I guess this blogging thing is going on pretty well but the only difficult part is I don't know what to include and what not to. And I'm starting to feel that it's a little bit of a drag. Hope I don't lose interest so quickly..or did it even start...?

Me, the newbie
Stumbled upon this blogging thingy after a month of boredom. U see, A levels just ended and going orchard everyday is not exactly something very exciting even though I did contemplate exploring Singapore thoroughly. Well, needed something to kill time..So Y not. Initially not up to the idea of publishing everything to the public. Still, this can sort of be controlled unless there is a sudden urge to outburst...Right?
Went out with Verna, Violet, Jing Tze today. Ate at seoul garden...the whole experience was quite funny. We were all struggling to sqeeze the meat into the hot plate and ter cooking of one another. After the whole thing, had trouble trying to eat finish the food so as not to waste it.

Left for the airport after that. It is the gang's favorite hangout(or so i heard). Began to take photos when this stranger who claimed to be a motivational speaker starting out approached us and asked us to pen down any thoughts that we have at the moment for him. As accomodating as always, i persuaded my friends write something, anything, down so as not to be too unfriendly. Perhaps he took this 'friendliness' as an opportunity to share about his family story, how he started out, how he wished ....blah blah... yeah..and as soon as i realised it, i was the only one left there standing 'listening' to his life story. My friends were all already happily taking photos w/o me! haiz... what's new?!
Nevertheless, the whole day still left me feeling blessed in pure bliss...
