August means a birthday for our little dude! I can't believe he is ONE! He was a very careful eater of his birthday mini-bundt cake but don't worry, he finally dug in and made a good mess in the end.

Getting the royal treatment from the Bonner girls
This years Bonner Reunion was a day at the lake. It was a beautiful way to spend time together and beat the heat. We were all so happy to have Grandma and Grandpa home from their mission.
We packed a little one man tent for Alek to nap and Kaelyn to drink her milk and it did the trick!
We got away for a little end of summer getaway to Snowbird. We took Jaymi and Bryn up a day earlier and met the Nelson's at the adventure park and dinner Friday night and then went for a hike Saturday morning. Then Wayne went and grabbed Kaelyn and Alek and they joined us for a night.
The girls made sure to bring their dolls on their first hike while we were there.
We told the girls if they brought the dolls we would not be carrying them for any point of the journey. Well Wayne couldn't resist!
When Alek arrived he made himself right at home. The hotel room was the most exciting adventure he had had for a while!

We wanted to show Bryn the awesome sand castle by the lake but a couple days later it was gone. So we did gymnastics on the big hill left behind instead.

Wayne and I were able to play sand volleyball most Thursday evenings with good friends. Such a needed activity for this year.
