Holiday Season

We have been enjoying our time this holiday season as a family.  It has been so special spending this time of year preparing to welcome little Jaymi Viktoria into our family.  We can't wait until this blog is flooded with pictures of her home coming and playing with her little sisters.

The newest addition to the Bonner family

Last week we were so lucky to have some good friends, the Fails family staying with us. We got together with our other good neighborhood friends the Gees for a fun night with our house full of kids. When we first moved into this neighborhood the Gees had one little girl and the rest of us were childless.  Now between us, counting the Andersons that couldn't make it, there are 8 little kids.  Its been so fun to have friends so close in the same stage of life as we are.  All four of our husbands are in school too, so we can really relate.  We really miss the Fails and are hoping they will join our "hood" again when school is done.

The ladies chatting and munching while the dads lounge on the couch.  Kids pretty much took care of themselves ;)
The Saturday after Thanksgiving was the annual Rasmussen Christmas Party.  We were sad to miss the big thanksgiving dinner at the cabin, so it was nice to see everyone.  I absolutely LOVE my family parties.  We don't get to see each other enough so I love getting together.  Of course uncle Tim, our claim to fame, was there with his big fancy camera and mad skills.  Here are some of the pictures of our girls with Santa.

Heres the group shots of Rasmussen Great-Grandkids wearing the hats and scarfs aunt Koren made for them.

Love the look on Kaelyn's face (sitting on the bannister)

Bryn's face says, "Get me off of her.  This can't be safe".

Favorite.  "Peak-A-Boo Little sis"
Remember this pic? Christmas 2011

Their 2011 Christmas outfits still fit them, way to be economical girls!

Couldn't get both of them to look at us at same time, just like last year.
Caught the girls holding hands on one of our jogs last month.  Too cute!

Sweet Kaelyn

Teenager Bryn, she is a little addicted to roaming around the house "talking" on my phone.

Kaelyn was not amused with the idea of sharing her tiny pony.
Ready to hit the slopes with dad...well not quite yet.

Fall

Yikes, I completely missed October and November is half gone.  I need to get better at blogging, this is our family history.

September 23rd, Bryn had her first birthday.  I can't believe how fast she is growing up, both her and Kaelyn have changed so much this last year.  We were out to my moms for the weekends so we had a joint party for Bryn, Grandma LaJean and Cousin Luke.

She just gets cuter by the day, she has such a fun little personality.  Her new thing these days are giving "loves"  She kisses us, her sister, stuffed animals, tables, chairs.  Everything needs a little love :)
Quin's gift to Bryn was a sore ear :)

Love a good birthday mess
Her favorite gift was the card from Grandma

Kaelyn gave Bryn yoga lessons for her birthday
She was a fast learner

Bryn wasn't too sure about helping Grandma mow the lawn

You know its not fall without University of Utah Football and Volleyball.

Our neighbor buddy came with us to the Utah Volleyball game.  My girls love her to death!
Enjoying some lunch after the game.  Kaelyn said the table was "to die for"...tasty
Dad and his girls at our annual work Rivalry Cookout
All geared up for the big game
Watching the game at our friends, so fun!  The girls favorite part were the water bottles.

While the girls and I were at the Utah Volleyball game, Wayne was golfing in the University of Utah Alumni tournament with our friends the Scotts.  They have invited him to golf with them in the tournament the last 4-5 years.  He had the time of his life an got a HOLE IN ONE on the "closest to the pin" hole.  Yep, he won and their team won the mixed division of the tournament.  We are so proud of him.  Wayne sacrificed playing golf this year to help us save money for our adoption.  I would have to say this was his reward!

Yep, thats about as close to the pin as you can get

One happy guy :)

I was feeling quite ambitious come the end of September and decided to finally tackle the bathroom project I have been envisioning for a couple years.  Needless to say it didn't start out too well when I dropped the full gallon of paint on my toe and spilled the whole thing into the tub on the blinds.  Of course Wayne was not home but luckily the girls were both sleeping while I spent the next two hours salvaging my paint and cleaning up the mess.  With Wayne's help we finally got it done.  I stayed up all night painting to make up for my lost time due to the paint can incident.

Yes, it hurt! It's all better now :)

Before
After - I'm loving it!

The girls favorite place to hangout these days are the stairs.  It doesn't matter where we go, they are the first thing they head for.  I just wish they would believe me when I tell them to go down them BACKWARDS, but until they do we will stay close by.

They are not so happy about the gate on our stairs
"You lift and I'll pull"
Wayne surprised me with these goodies on my birthday.  He has since learned that we keep vases under the sink, ha ha :)  Yes he bought me socks for my birthday, but they are not just any socks.  They are running socks that come with a LIFETIME GUARANTEE.  How cool will it be when I ware them out and get to get another pair?  I'm set for life!

Had those Chocolate covered cinnamon bears from breakfast :)

Speaking of running, Kaelyn always wants to get on the treadmill with me so I had to try and barricade her out, it didn't work.  She found her way through multiple times.

Both the girls are working on walking.  Bryn pretty much has it figured out and Kaelyn is not far behind.  Bryn has been the best motivation for Kaelyn to sharpen her gross motor skills.  Its so fun watching them interact, even though most of the time I'm playing referee :)  "Hands to self", "Give that back", "share", etc.

October has been a month of some beautiful weather.  It's been so nice to be able to play outside just a bit longer than usual.

Bryn testing out dads skate board.  She wasn't too bad.
The girls watching some front yard football starring Carson, Jackson and Wayne

Walking to church
On conference Sunday we drove up the mountain to see the changing leaves and the view down into Bingham Canyon Mine.  I now why they can see it from space, its HUGE!
Wayne and my mom hiked up to the Timpanogus cave a few weeks ago before it shut down for the winter.  They had a great time!
We welcomed November in with a day swinging at the park.

We had a great time celebrating Halloween this year.  Bryn was a cowgirl and Kaelyn was a unicorn.  Grandma LaJean made her costume, she wanted to be sure that Bryn had something to ride while they were out trick or treating.

The cowgirl wasn't quite sure about the witch she met at our work
My little unicorn

My entry into the work pumpkin contest.  Took 2nd place.
This little pony is the favorite toy around our house these days.  Kaelyn would ride it all day if we let her but we have to let Bryn have a turn once in a while too.
