Spencer's Easter Egg Hunts at School

Spencer goes to school with me each day. He has a Mon./Wed./Fri. class as well as a Tues./Thurs. class. That means that when special events like parties and holidays come around, he celebrates twice. Here are some pictures of his Easter egg hunts at Covenant Preschool.

Easter

Well, it is better late than never, I suppose. I have been meaning to post some Easter pictures for quite sometime now and just never have, so here goes. We had a great day on Easter. Since we are spending the weekends at my parents' house, Nana and Paw were able to experience the Sunday morning Easter bunny finds with the kids. How fun!! Ashley and Donnie came from Mobile to eat lunch with us. After hunting eggs a billion times, we went to the Farris house for supper. I love holidays and time spent with family.

Treasure Chest

Okay...another funny Spencer story. Tonight at supper, Spencer announced that his heart was "beeping". He asked me if I could hear it. He then raised his shirt so I could get a good listen. His cup was in the way, and I told him that I needed to move it so I could put my head to his stomach. He was quick to tell me that his heart isn't in his stomach..."Mom, my heart isn't in my stomach, it is in my "treasure" chest!!!

The Mind and Ambition of a Three Year Old...

On Thursday, the kids and I made our weekly journey south. Once in Hattiesburg, we drove by the University of Southern Mississippi and made our way to the campus of William Carey University. We were going to William Carey, because our church was fixing a meal for the girls' softball team between a double header. Seeing so many colleges in one afternoon started a conversation between Cole and Molly about what schools they were going to attend. Cole decided on USM (at least for that moment), Molly decided that she would plan to attend three....USM, William Carey, AND Florida State! Spencer, whose life ambition is a bit different from his brother and sister, proudly and confidently announced that he was going to THE BUZZ LIGHTYEAR COLLEGE when he grows up!!!! I guess that makes sense if he is going to be Buzz Lightyear!

Spring Break -- Part 3: Mobile

My sister and her husband moved to Mobile about a month ago. During Spring Break, my mom took the day off and we took the kids to Mobile to see my sister. While there, we took them to the Museum of Mobile to see the pirate exhibit. We also saw the old Firehouse Museum and Fort Conde. My kids liked the fort because they realized it was sitting on top of the "Disney Tunnel"!! (This is what they call the tunnel on I-10 in Mobile because we go through it on our way to Orlando!) We had a great time and can't wait to go for another visit.

Spring Break -- Part 2: Fishing At Mr. Freddie's

Mr. Freddie Roberts called Mark and offered his fishing equipment and pier for us to use during our break. We took him up on his offer and caught some good looking fish!! Cole even caught a turtle!!! Mr. Freddie is definitely a skilled fisherman! We were all catching small fish until he came down to the lake. As soon as he showed up and showed us what to do, the big fish started rolling in. Here are a few pictures of some prize catches.

Spring Break -- Part 1: Train Ride

We started spring break off with a ride on an Amtrack train with the children's ministry at our church. We rode the train from Hattiesburg to Laurel. Once in Laurel, we went to paint some pottery. The kids had a blast!! I loved riding on the train. It would be a relaxing way to travel....without children. Oh, the books you could read!!
