First day of Preschool!

This is the best picture I got!
Today big brother went to school!!

The day did not start off so well.  He is still trying to adjust back to eastern time and so he slept in late (in hind sight I should have woken him up, but I thought sleep was more important today) and so we were rushed this morning getting everything ready.
This is how he truly felt about me trying to take pictures
However, once we got to school he did great.  Our neighbor goes to the same school and just happened to be walking in at the same time as us, so that made him more excited to go inside with her.  He walked right into his classroom, found his little cubbie, hung up his backpack, put his lunch away, and was off.  I had to yell across the room to say goodbye.  I was so happy that he did so well.  I really thought after the battle to get out the door we would have a problem at school, but he did great!

This is what he looked like when I picked him up
When we picked him up, he said he was hungry and thirsty.  So home we went and got him a snack and a drink.  I tried to get out of him all the things he did, but he just said he played and had a good time.  He did forget to get his lunch box, but we can try and work on remembering that.  He came home with his first set of pictures to hang on the fridge!!  All in all, I think he had a great time and I am eager to see how the next time goes.

4 months!!

So a lot has happened since I last wrote.  I promise I will write about it all in due time, but for now I wanted to give an update on the littlest member of our family.

Luke turned 4 months while we were on our family trip out west and he absolutely loved being out there. (Okay so I am not sure how much he loved it, but I did so I am assuming he did too!)

We had his doctor appointment this morning and the little guy is doing okay.  The week before we left I thought he might have an ear infection because every time I would try and feed him he would just scream bloody murder.  Also he was only taking 30 minute naps (not a fun combo!). Sure enough both ears were infected...poor guy!  Anyway, with the medicine he seemed to be doing a lot better.  Well, I kind of got sidetracked on our trip and didn't end up giving him all of his medicine again because I thought he was better.  Well then the past two days he started to scratch at his ears.  I thought maybe he just found them so he was just playing with them.  Oh no, they are both still infected so we are on a different medicine with a re-check in 3 weeks.  Also his weight was down so she wants to make sure it is just because of the sickness that he isn't gaining like he should be.  So all in all, don't forget to take all of an antibiotic and pay attention to your babies, he was trying to tell me his ears weren't better!

The basics stats are 12.70 lbs (10%) and 25 inches (48%).  She said everything else looked good and he is doing great.  He did have to get two shots which are never fun, but he pulled through and was a champ.  Now I am off to get him better!

A few of side notes.

  • Tomorrow is Noah's first day of school!  I can't believe it!!  I think we are both ready for this day to come. (More on that after his big day!)

  • I turned the big 3-0 while on our trip to Wyoming.  It did take the sting out of getting older when you could look out the window and see mommy moose and baby moose having breakfast.
  • We have more rooms that are done in the house, I just need to take some pictures and write up some blogs about them.  It's been almost a year since we moved in and I really feel like it's finally all coming together to become our home.
