So we have been so busy this holiday season that I am slacking on the blog. I apologize, I know everyone is waiting patiently at their computer everyday waiting on the next edition of our blog. I am also up to my head in sewing projects (I will show you all of them when Christmas is over, I want to surprise some people!!). With that said, this time next week I will be cranking out lots of post full of all of out holiday fun. Until then here is a sneak peak of the pictures.

Girls weekend
Last weekend my best friend and I headed up to Chicago for a girls night out! When we were in college we were in love with Usher and have always said we wanted to go to one of his concerts. Well Friday night we got our chance!!!
The concert was a blast, but we quickly realized that we were out of our league when we called ourselves fans. Some of the people in the audience were die hards; screaming and yelling every time Usher spoke or wiped his face off with his shirt (which he did often!). You would have thought they were going to get Usher to notice just them if they yelled loud enough. Anyway, we were able to laugh about it and had a lot of fun just listening and singing to his songs.
The next morning we woke up and headed to breakfast with my college roommate and her son! It was so great to see her again and meet her adorable baby!
We had to cut our trip short because there was snow falling and we had to get down to Purdue so the dads could pass off the kids and get to a Purdue basketball game. However, we were able to do some shopping at the Lafayette mall so we were happy about that.
It was a fabulous weekend and one I will never forget! Thanks Jackie for being my Usher buddy and going to the concert with me!!!

Someone got a little too excited when we went outside to look at the snow and took a tumble going down the front step this morning....
So we will be watching the snow from inside for the time being. It sure is looking pretty outside!!

18-months old
Our little guy is 18 months olds! I still can't believe it. He has his latest doctor's appointment and he is finally gaining in the weight department (up to24.8 pounds, 35th percentile) and staying about the same in height (31.5 inches, 24th percentile). He is talking up a storm and tries to stay anything you say so watch out. He really loves any form of transportation. We watch all 4 of the school buses go by our house each day just so he can yell out, "schoo busssss!" He is getting better with eating after some cut backs in the milk consumption were put upon him. He is however getting into the terrible two phase (which I hear starts earlier than 2 for most kids) and throws major fits from time to time. He is however just being a toddler so I am trying to remember that as he bangs his head onto the floor or tries to wiggle himself out of the highchair. All in all, he is true blessing and we love him more each day!
We took him to the same park we took his 6 month pictures to for this latest round of pictures. It was pretty cold that day so we didn't take a lot of pictures but the ones we got are awesome, so enjoy!!

A weekend away
For Eric's 30th birthday I decided that it was time we took a weekend away from Noah and take some time for ourselves. I had thought of going to St. Louis when we took our trip to Texas and went through a couple of month before. He loved the idea so we called up Grandma and Grandpa Taylor and they were on board to spend the weekend with the little man. Also Uncle Jason came into town to help out with a list of house projects we had come up with for my dad to do while we were gone. (More on that later)
We had a great time on our weekend away and got in plenty of much needed sleep! Also Noah did great while we were gone and didn't freak out because we weren't there.
Also to add to our weekend away some stuff around the house got done that we have had on our list for awhile. My dad and brother tiled our master bathroom floor and painted our dinning room (now the play room / sewing room)! It was so nice to come home to a "new" house. Thanks again guys for all of your hard work and to my mom for having to run around and keep Noah from "helping" too much with the projects!!!

Off to the arch...we couldn't go to the top until the following morning because it was sold out!
Eric was loving all the photo ops
We rode the subway to get to dinner at Union Station
The arch at night is beautiful!

Halloween Fun
This year we made use of the little man's outfit on numerous occasions. I already talked about the trip to the zoo, but we had two parties and then trick or treating to also wear his costume. The reason the little guy was a doctor this year was because I did not see that many outfits that I think he would wear. Either they had a hat or hood and he will just not keep anything on his head. So I had the idea to make his costume and the scrubs seemed to be the cutest outfit I could find. Anyway, here are pictures from all of our fun outings!

Halloween at the Zoo
The day after the big birthday celebration we headed over to the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo for their annual zoo festivities. This was also the first time for Noah to show off his costume!! I will let the pictures do the blogging for this one.
I loved all the pumpkin animals throughout the zoo. It was fun to find all the different kinds of animals they had made. We had a great time at the zoo, but the little guy was getting tired so it was a quick trip.

90th Birthday Celebration
A couple of weekends ago we headed up to Fort Wayne to celebrate Eric's Grandpa's 90th birthday. A big party was planned for Saturday afternoon. A lot of friends and family were able to come out for the big day. I don't think the line to come into the party was ever without someone waiting to congratulate the birthday boy. It was a wonderful party. Here are pictures from the big event.
