Our own troubles sometimes weigh heavily upon us. If we let them, our troubles can drag us down to the extent that we are anything but cheerful.
Everyone faces troubles or challenges at some point in their lives. If you compared your troubles, or challenges, with those of others, you would surely find that there are those whose troubles make yours look like minor inconveniences.
We have all heard the story of the person who felt sorry for himself because he had no shoes, but then met the man who had no feet.
By cheering up someone else, you actually minimize and lighten some of your own burdens. You'll feel a lot better when you share you happiness with someone else.

It's the third week of FYP and so far it has been quite stressful for me but the great part is that my supervisor is a slacker lol. I got attach to the lab that creates project for other companies. It's good that we get to learn and gain experience but the bad part is that this is the most strictest lab ever. Firstly no shorts & slippers. We are not allowed to surf other site except for work related purpose. We are not allow to listen to mp3, gaming or sleep. We have two attendance to sign in. One is from the computer and the other one is from a form. So many rules and i feel that we are in a prison + zoo. Why do i say that? well we have two surveillance cameras in the lab, one huge window at the top so the visitors or lecturers on the 2nd floor are able to check on us & there's always big group of visitors coming to our lab all the time looking at us as if we are some kind of animal or something. The worst is that we have a technical officer who is always in this lab as this is where he normally does his work. His really strict and fierce and he monitors our every movement. We will get an earful if we came back late from our breaks, surf unrelated sites, talking too much, playing games or listening to mp3. I envy those people from other labs as they aren't that strict compared to ours but for work wise ours is the best so i guess it's fair=/.
So far i have been assigned to assemble 3 different sets & to design a machine operation for a certain product. My partner went for an operation so im on my own for now. The assembling looks easy at first but once you start doing it i swear it's not. I encounter different types of problem & one thing good is that i was able to learn a lot all thanks to the technical officer. He may be strict but for work wise his really helpful & always there to help us out. His also generous in teaching and sharing useful information to us. Well he won't give us the solutions right away and that's the good think as his training us to be independant, decision-making and problem solving on our own. So i guess his not bad after all.
As for today the officer is on leave so that's the reason why im blogging right now. I guess i will be slacking more and may or may not continue with my assembling as i just can't be bothered today haha. Alright it's break time now and im going to feed the fishes again.

Yesterday was a memorable day for me as my good friends from my workplace organised a celebration for my 21st birthday after work. I was seriously surprised. Had a great time & i felt really honoured as Wendy, Jian Yong & Kevin came to celebrate too:). There were lots of food & a delicious birthday cake. The most embarassing part for me was that they bought me an Adidas Watch! I almost died of heart attack. I was so touched as so many people contributed to get me this gift. There's too many names to mention. Well to those that contributed, thank you all so much! You guys are great! Now i have 2 adidas watch haha:D
Not forgetting my english Department colleagues(Jasmine & Su Wei) for getting me an awesome wallet, Mee Yin for getting me the book "Yakuza Moon" which i planned to buy on that day & Jenny for the beautiful box of Candies. Thank you guys so much!
I also wanna thank to those who celebrated with me in advanced & to those on the actual day. There's just too many names to mention and especially to you mother farkers for giving me a
painful birthday beating LOL! Bloody cuckoos sabotaging me at Clarke Quay. LOL!
Even though my huge kick ass bbq birthday chalet celebration was cancelled but i had the most awesome 21st birthday that anyone could ever asked for. I got to celebrate with my family, all my friends & working colleagues. I feel so thankful & blessed.
