Food Trucks

I've been wanting to do the food truck thing for a while....I caught Angel in a moment of weakness and finally convinced him to go :)  Who knew eating food out of a truck would be so yummy?!  I did!!

They even had a whole truck devoted to grilled cheese, every kind you could imagine.

Needless to say that's where Ryan and Jaina wanted their dinner from.

They set it up right next to a playground so it was perfect for the kids :)

Manatee Baseball!!

We have a minor league baseball stadium really close to our house.  Its really cool when they have post game fireworks because we are able to see them from our front room.  Today though we decided to go to a game with the Berrys.  It's never crowded there, so its pretty cool because the kids can run around when they aren't watching the game.

Going to Disney so often has gotten the kids used to the costume characters, 

they were excited to play with Manny the Manatee

I was in the kitchen getting dinner ready, and I hear Ryan say "oh my gosh" and then start laughing...(that can never be good).  So I go over to the living room to discover this.....

 

 

AWESOME!!  Somehow in the blink of an eye Katherine became mobile!!

She is pretty cute though, and she was very pleased with herself, until she couldn't figure how to get herself OUT of this predicament!!

 I bought these tickets about two months ago as soon as they went on sale!

I knew that Jaina would LOVE it, because shes a bit obsessed with anything Ariel!

Our good friends the berrys came over to play with Katherine so we could take Ryan and Jaina!

I was brave enough to take her to the movie theater last week, but a playhouse is a bit different :)

We were able to score front row tickets, which made the experience even more amazing

 

The entire cast was made up of kids, it was really cool.

I didnt know what to expect as far as "quality",

 but we were all blown away by the talent that these kids had!

Everything was very professionally done, the costumes, the sets, even a live orchestra.

 

I think we will be making the summer kids performances a tradition.

Ryan and Jaina thought it was "awesome"!



our mini vacation

One last trip to Disney before the summer heat and crowds get too unbearable!! 

 

Jaina has been Ariel crazy for the past few months, so she was super excited to actually meet the mermaid in person!!

 

This time we decided to stay the night, so we could take a midday break, and also so we wouldn't have to worry about driving home.  We live only an hour away from Disney, but after spending all day at the park, that is one LONG hour!

 

Everyone had a great time!!  Ryan and Jaina slept on the pull out couch in the living room and Katherine slept in the master bedroom with us.  The first night was a little rough to get the kids to bed, because Jaina was keeping Ryan up, or so he says :)  But they were so knocked out from the park, the second night was easy :)  Minus the "musical strollers" getting them comfortable since they ALL decided to crash before we made it to the ferry!  I heard one guy tell his daughter as we were doing this, "see...kids are hard work"!  yes they are, but worth it!

Sprinkler fun!

I was packing up the van for out Disney trip when it started to rain.  Ryan asked if they could go play in the rain!?  My first reaction was to say no, I just got you guys changed and ready to go....but then I stopped and realized this is something I can say yes to, so there you go!  Natures sprinklers :)
