Good Bye To Our Best Friend (1978 to 2012)

As many of you know my Aunt Heather Brisco (my Dad's youngest sister) returned home to Heavenly Father after a valiant fight with breast cancer Wednesday, She was too young, 34 years old. I am going to list the 20 wonderful things I think about my aunt Heather. (taken from my journal)

1. She loved to play the game Apples to Apples with us.
2. Her smile even when she was sick made me feel warm.
3. She always loved to play games with me.
4. We love the beach
5. We both love sharks
6. She was one of the most kindest and giving aunts.
7. When I turned 7 she drove all the way from California to Utah to come to my birthday party.

8. She came to see me when I won the Olive Garden writing contest meet the Mayor of our town  Huntington Beach.
9. She loved to eat at Coco's.
10. She always had a present for me every time I saw her.
11. She loved board games.
12. She played battleship with me.
13. Every year she would color Easter eggs with me.
14. She loved the movie, The Never Ending Story, and she is a never ending story.
15. She loved to go on the ferris wheel with us at Balboa beach.
16. She came to my Cub Scout pinewood derby and we laughed because she thoaught I was supposed to drive the derby car.
17. She always made hot coco for me.
18. She always bought me crafts to do with her.
19. She taught me how to play Banjo Kazooie.
20. Every Holiday she gave me candy and cards. The one last thing she did before she died even though she was really sick was to buy and wrap up lots of Christmas presents for us, which we will open on Christmas.

We are really sad but know she is at peace. I miss you Heather. I am playing the song I am a child of God on my cello and Ivy my Sister will accompany me on her violin at her funeral Saturday.

Are You Rhett(y) For My New Baby Brother???

On Monday October 24th, 2011 my little bro was born at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach. His name is Rhett Michael. He was 8 pounds and 13 ounces...that's equivalent to a good halloween bag of candy. Okay. He was 20 inches. Well I love him. Every time somebody holds him, I try to intercept him and hold him. Mom is doing pretty good. Sorry its been awhile...a lot of chaotic things have been happening. We'll catch up later. Enjoy the pictures! Even Skipper our dog got dressed up in his fanciest knitted sweater for the occasion.

Scouts, PBS and Weekends...The Good Life

Lots has happened since we last talked. I found out that West and I are in Scouts now and what a big responsibility that is, roasting hot dogs and marshmellows and all dat stuff.

In the PBS kids writers contest I won second place for my grade they must have liked my stories. My Sister Ivy won third place for her grade.

This weekend we needed a break my dad came home from work early so we could go on a quick trip. The first afternoon and night we went up the freeway a few minutes to Manhattan Beach. We stayed at the Marriott Hotel. The first thing we did is swim after that we went and got dinner at LA Food Show it was the best food I have ever had and trust me it was better than Chilis.

Saturday we woke up early and in the cold went swimming. Then we drove by the LA Temple. After that to Beverly Hills on our way to the Grove and American Girls doll store. It was basically a doll museum my sisters went crazy and boys let me tell you, you are not missing anything. After that we went to Griffith Park Observatory and the Hollywood sign and then to Baskin and Robbins, I had 3 ice cream cones. And Downtown LA by my dad’s office and then to El Taco. Count your blessings folks we saw a lot of homeless people digging through the trash for food like possums. Then home to get ready for Easter. Signed Fantastic Mr. R

This year cousins West, Katelynne, Roy-Roy, and I (The Fantastic Mr. R) are getting baptized. So, we're excited.

Chewbacca and Han Solo

Well I finally named my dog.
I named him Chewbacca and we even got him a tag.
Somtimes I pretend he is the real Chewbacca and I am Han Solo and we are fighting off our inter-gallatic enemies together. It is really funny. Especially when I fly him through the sky at light speed. Take a look at us playing below:

Don't we look tough?

Other times I just give Chewbacca a bath. Of course, I have a lot of helpers.

He likes it warm with Coco scented bubbles.

Most of the time we just hang out together. We make a good team.
Han Solo and Chewey--To Infinity and Beyond!
P.S. Happy Birthday to my good pal, West-Oh! Wish I was there with you....See you soon Ol' Buddy Ol' Pal!

My Best Christmas Present (No Batteries Required)

For the last seven years of my life I have been wanting a dog.
Finally on Christmas morning my dream came true. My favorite thing is when I'm laying down and he comes up behind me and plays with my hair. It's so funny.

The only problem is that I don't have a name yet. This happened with my guinea pig and we just ended up calling him 'guinea'.
Here are some of my ideas for names: Buddy the Elf, Skipper, Skout II, Rex, Buster, Thumper, Peanut Butter, Fuzzball, Pretzel, Han Solo, Rudolph, and Stanley.
Can you think of any other good ones?
Introducing my new dog....

Isn't he cute trying to escape?

I was so happy that I got teared up
Here are my sisters taking a turn with the little guy.

Lavender used to cry when he chased her. Now she is a little mother to it. She loves to put him to sleep. Sometimes she sings him lullabies while he falls asleep.

Ivy likes to put him to sleep, too. She is still a little nervous when he nips her toes. She likes to bring him things, and she keeps asking to give him a bath. His favorite toy is a stuffed lamb.

Sunny DIGS the dog. She picks him up and rolls him and sometimes drops him and tries to put him in the doll stroller, and then she tries to feed him candy, and then she tries to wake him up, then she tries to carry him again. It drives me a little crazy.

What was your best present????
P.S. What dog names do you like?

Nutty Sisters - Part 2

I love all my sisters, but todays episode is called Sunny, the Rascal and she has A big crush on our new dog, which will be tomorrows blog. Its not uncommon to find her face covered in sour cream or on a rainy day playing in the mud. She is the nuttiest 1 and half year old ever. The pictures tell her story.
