Pike Artifacts: Stirring Up Memories
The way we grew up was not normal for then and is even more extraordinary now. I'm pretty sure all of us have strong memories of this Stokermatic...and the activities around it.
the dishpan, saddles, the corncrib, electric blankets, the sock drawer or dad's socks, the middle sectional, tree houses, hoes, irrigating boots and bee hats, the iron rite and the embroidery box.
What does it make you think of? What about other artifacts? I made a list that might elicit a story. Pick three or more items to reminisce about and add it to this site or send it to my e-mail address. Even better, add a picture or a drawing of the object. Here is the list...

You might want to go back to the Aug 16th 2009 post or the replies to the Dec. 24th 2010 post to get your imagination started.

Collateral Lines
The work on collateral lines is exploding! I'm finding documents for great aunt's and uncle's spouses, their parents, and their children. Most of the records were not available even two months ago. What a blessing to have summers off so I have time to work on this. Let me know if you would like family names to take to the temple.
Hope you are all well and having a great summer.
Love, Marti
