Movie Theatre

Well, as I clean the house today, I thought that I would take some more pics of some of the rooms that we have finished. One thing that really appealed to Steve about this house is that it had a separate "media" room, all prewired out the nose for crazy stereo magic! Like a man's dream, right? It is quite a small room, so it was a challenge to find furniture to work in there that would seat our whole family and store all of our media! But we did...I am excited with how it turned out. I think its our favorite room in the whole house. We spend lots of time in there.

Addison's Room

Remember this? This was Michaela's room when we moved into our Austin house. She has since outgrown this decor, but we thought that we would reuse it for Addison. I wanted to put a new spin on it so that she would feel like it was different and fresh just for her. She was not thrilled about getting hand me downs, so I had a task ahead of me to make the room not look the same as Michaela's did back in Austin. I think we made it work.

I tried to replicate her bolster pillow on the wall. I actually kind of rushed through it, completing the whole room in a day. When I went back, I realized that I missed a little purple stripe. I am not so sure that I will ever fix it. By the time I get to that, I will want to redecorate. Still turned out fun!

Dylan's new Art Blog

Hey guys, Dylan has his own blog now for displaying and selling his art! We are really excited to share it with you! He will be adding new things each day until we get caught up, but we got a really great start. So, please check it out! He would love some positive feedback. The art that has been posted ranges in age of when it was drawn, from 7-9 years old. If you look down under the picture, it will say when on the label. You can view his blog here:

The big 11!

Michaela is 11! A little lady...Can't believe how fast it has gone by. She's a big Middle School student now....with contacts! We love this girl. Happy Day!

Michaela's Room

So, I finally got Michaela's room painted and finished for her 11th birthday last week. Not sure why it took me so long, but I was dreading doing ceilings, its my least favorite thing...This is a really small room (about 9x10), so we had to trim down the furniture and stay very basic. I think she loves it still, but it is a big change for her...

Chi Chi Chi...Chihuahua

The kids and I decided to head to Redmond to have lunch with Steve 2 weeks ago. While we were sitting in the office waiting for him, some residents brought in this teacup chihuahua that they found running around the property. Since it was the weekend, and the pup had no place to go, we offered to take the little girl home until the owners contacted the office.
There was NO intention of keeping this little thing! I for one, am allergic to almost everything, and I don't like pee and poop in my house! But she is the best little dog! She is a shorthair teacup, and I haven't had one sneeze attack since she's been here.
Steve finally found the owners (they didn't find him) and we were heartbroken because we knew that we would have to give her back. It turns out that they have lost her 5 times and they really didn't want her anymore. So, one week after bringing her home, we found out that we get to keep her! We love her much! She is a great addition to our family, especially after losing the bunny a few weeks ago. Crazy how those things work out! Her name is Bella Boo and she weighs 4 pounds.

Bella is dressed for church loving on her baby...

Triple X!

Last Saturday we went to XXX in Issaquah to eat. Yeah, not a porn shop, just some good burgers. This may be the biggest cheeseburger that Steve's ever attempted to consume.

I don't need a big cheeseburger to make me happy, but a huge diet coke does the trick!

Dumbo the Flying Bunny

What in the place of nations? Its official...Heavenly Father really does have a sense of humor. Our rabbit died on Sunday and we are shopping for a new one. I ran across this on Craigs List. I am not sure what to think of this. I bet it could fly with those ear. My kids are completely creeped out. Poor li'l thing. How does she not step on her ears when she hops around?

Camping Ocean Shores

Its official, I AM an indoor girl, and a quick learner...If you are going to camp in Western Washington, you best invest in an electric heater. We FROZE! I just have to say that having to pee in the middle of the night, having to leave the tent and hike in the 50 degree weather to use the restroom just isn't my thing.
The kids had a blast and still played in the ocean, even though they were blue. We rented scooters and drove them on the beach, which was the funnest, even though I was in flip flops and capris. (I might still lose my small toes from frostbite) Getting used to these crazy tempature changes is killing us all. I am labeling this under "vacation", but I still am not convinced that it was such a thing.

Quite the looker, huh?

Every night, this water would completely disappear when it was low tide. It was crazy!~

Music Room

We decided to not do a dining room in this house, since sadly, we don't have enough family or friends in the area to really ever use it. So, after much looking, I finally found a baby grand that would suit our needs. I am in love and play it everyday.
Here is the pic of the dining room before (with the old residents furniture).

Fine, I'll do it...

It's really hard for me to post pics of the house because I am not close to be done, but people keep asking me, so here we go. I have almost painted the whole house, but still have a lot of things left to do like drapes, etc. (I have issues) I still haven't found a good place to get accessories, which is probably a good thing, but not everything I have works quite like I would want it to, thats just the way it is when you move. I am trying to make due. We are still getting used to smaller spaces. Its more difficult then I thought it would be.

Take me out to the BALL GAME!

Had to hit a Mariner's game. It was a blast. Notice in all our pics, we are wearing winter clothes! (except Steve I have decided it HOT blooded) It is still so cold here. Most days don't get hotter than 75 degrees, so the nights cool off into the low 60's.
About the game: We played the White Sox and no one had a run the whole game, so we had to have extra innings, yes there is a word for that, but I have no clue what it is. Anyways, the White Sox finally scored, and we thought that we were had. Everyone was getting up and walking away. I knew if we did that, something big would happen, so we stayed put. We filled up the bases at the very end and beat 'em! It was so exciting! The kids were going ballistic...
