Thanks everyone! B'day wasn't too bad... Of course it'll be better if u were all here! Went KTV the night before me b'day again, then juz had a simple lunch with friends. Nothing much... not even cake, juz lunch. But had a small cake with another group of friends (juz 4 of us). Anyway, had been doing things that were not possible during the school term. Went driving around today. Clocked 285.3 km! Went to the beach, hills, tried to catch cockles, drove me fourwheel drive on the beach etc... Baked pineapple tarts 2 days ago... was quite fun. Gonna cook mutton soup tomorrow, trying to decorate and reposition me apartment next week... Been reading a novel by Dan Brown. Finished Da Vinci's code 3 mths back. Now reading his other novel, Angels and Demons. Very similar to Da Vinvi's code leh... Anyone read that yet? Going for me Judo grading next week. Getting me orange belt! Will try to learn Scuba diving and golf soon... Trying to keep myself busy before I go back lah... Think time passes faster this way.

It's 5.45 pm now... I woke up at 7.00am yesterday... That means I've been awake a grand total of 34hrs 45 min! I can't believe it myself too! Hi dears! Guess what?! I'M DONE!!! AT LONG LAST!!! I'M FINALLY DONE!!! MUAHAHAHAHA!!! It's now 5.15 am in the morning and I just came back from KTV!!! Wah! Liberation is upon me! Had a nice lunch (with meself) after a visit to the temple and we had a nice buffet dinner to celebrate. After that, it's on to K-Box! KTV for 4 straight hours! We must try to beat that record when me and Avi back ok? Don't think I can sleep... adrenaline pumping through me body, stimulating my sympathetic nervous system, increasing my heart rate and cardiac output, thereby increasing the blood pressure in my internal carotid, sending oxygenated blood to my brain, brain synapses working overtime due to membrane excitment and acetyl-choline release that stimulates ligand gated channels to open and increasing action potiential and reaching threshold that fires off rapidly and blah blah... haha... sorry... after effects of studying!!! But am I glad that its ALL over! And I don't think I'll fail *touchwood*... If I fail, I wouldn't know what's wrong liao... But for now, I'm just gonna enjoy life here before I fly home in December...

Avi, when's your exams ending? Can I go visit you? Will you take me in or do I have to sleep on the streets? And hor... what's your home number? Hp here very exp to call leh...

I think I just made the statement of the century during prac that day... I was desperately trying to cover everything during the revision session and was rushing through all the specimens and prosections with my friends when I came to a prosection that looked like a hairy ear. And I said to me friend (quite loudly), "Hey, we didn't do any ear stuff so why did they bring out an ear???" And suddenly, everyone who heard laughed... wildly... and I felt so embarrassed after taking a good look at it... sigh... And I'll leave it to all your imagination what that specimen was...

aiyo... is it up till today then i realised tt i'm e only one workin amongst us leh... cos u r all talkin bout exams' stress etc.... kekekke

well, i also have my own share of stress... working stress... scared my patient will fall, worsen their condition, then also my therapist assistant not very coorperative with me at times. so scary one. let my patient do dangerous things. i need to constantly keep watch on her type. then she also not e type tt will listen to u one... ex air-stewardess la... not tt i got a bad impression on these ppl but so far the few tt i've met in my line r not the nicest ppl ard... sigh....

but well, i'll be takin my leave soon... am goin away for a few days to relax a bit... u'll all haf ur share later the yr la... cos not possible for me to take leave end of e yr ma.

Thanks for all your encouragements last time. 2 more weeks before exams and I'm still nowhere near finishing me revision. Haven't stepped through my front door for the past 2 days (Saturday and Sunday) and I'm really REALLY bored! Sick of studying... stressed about the exams... can't seem to concentrate... Miss the beach! And the heat! And the sun! (My apartment really suck! No sun, cold and gloomy throughout the day...) Trying to mimic my habitat as much as possible by turning on the heater and lights and humidifier... Hiaz... Can't wait for exams to end!!!!!!!! At least there's school tomorrow... I can finally leave this hermit cave of mine... Good luck for all your exams!

Dear Diary,

Today, I'm very sad... I lost my contact lens today. I was being a good boy, crossing the road and minding my own freaking business when a bloody gust of hot, dry adelaidian air blew into me eyes and irritated me right eye. Next thing I know, me right contacts were gone... boo hoo... sadz... :(

And in the morning, I woke up early for the 8 am lecture and wore pants and polo-T to school, thinking that's sufficiently "professional" for my clinical skills test later on. At the lecture, I noticed my friends were all wearing shirts and ties. In the end, decided to leave the lecture halfway to go home and change. Luckily, no one knew what the f*** the lecturer was talking about. He was going,"blah...blah...lah...nerves...blah...plexus...." So I had to walk to school 3 times in a short span of 30 min. Sigh...

Now, I just found out that my thumb drive is spoilt. I think I feel very sorry for myself today...

Hello everyone! Me back in adelaide liao... Have to adjust to the laidback lifestyle all over again. Sian... Well, Angel and Weilin each owe me $6. Write down IOU first lor. Pay me back in Dec when me go home. Actually me found out that me can go home on the 17th Nov since that's the last day of the exams. But me flight is on the 11th Dec to play safe, in case I have to do sub paper! Kiasu lah... but that will waste me 3 weeks doing nothing here...

i just attended Andrea's production last night! Andrea, u did a great job but am sure, this success came wif countless of sleepless nights n tremendous amount of stress. but am sure it will all be worth the sacrifice!

Well well...I've been busy but not like until I cannot blog la. Just haven't been inspired very much lately since abit stressed out and sian.

Have joined this kinda like choir singing classical pieces in parts and all...tt has been the most exciting so far la. We're performing this sunday and it's been the one thing tt cheers me up all the time. The songs are really beautiful! Am sick and tired of my musical altho I know I still have to tahan a few weeks more. Everytime I go for rehearsal i feel so constipated cos i wanna throw up at the director. Sigh...I'm just a difficult person to work with la.

Umm...then the next thing tt has been happening is tt I just got "attached" over the weekend... to my uni sch mate Shane. Most of you should have met him before...if not maybe heard of him? But anyways I have put a photo for your kind perusal..haha. It's a funny photo cos we were just trying to create some sort of scandal at tt time but then there was really nothing going on between us. Then..since we got together we haven't taken any photos together la. Oh well, tts the way the world works!

Aiyah, life is gonna be like that for the next 5 years you know. Live with it. Plus you're going home in 5 weeks. I swear you will complain about the heat in Singapore, the rude and too many people and blah blah blah. See, typical overseas student.

An oil heater does what it does, heat up the room slowly. Like a fire. If you have a timer on yours, then set it like an hour or something. Mine's a 12 fin oil heater bought it for $80 that day. The thing about oil heaters, you can switch them off after 2-3hours provided you keep the door closed and the window ajar.

A fan heater is good if you want instant heat. Although I think a really shower will work the same way. Hibernation is a natural process. You might wanna know that small doses of coffee throughout the day keep you awake rather than 3 cups at one go at night. And, drink tea if you wanna keep awake, not coffee.

So you can stop whinging like, now. I have to tahan the whole winter here in Melbourne and it's definitely much colder than in Adelaide okay...

I took up Chinese Society and Culture and all the stupid essays are centred around him! First it was a 2500 words essay and now, I have a 1500 words take home exam that I have no freaking idea what to write! And I have loads of work and revision (read: work to be done weeks ago but left undone because I slept too much!!!) The stupid weather's not helping too! It's hibernating season! Went to buy a heater today and found that it was $20 more expensive as compared to Thursday... Felt so cheated!!!! And it's not even working properly! Such a stupid BIG thing can't even heat up my work space! I'm seating next to the heater and I can't even feel the heat! It just heats up a 5 cm radius of air around it. WHY DO THEY EVEN CALL IT A HEATER IN THE FIRST PLACE?! Should call it a ... urm...useless micro air heater for ants or something like that... Avi, What's the best heater around? I got myself an 11 fin oil heater coz that's the largest one around. And how do you keep yourself from hibernating? Coffee's not working for me now!Exams are in 2 weeks and I'm still nowhere near done! Still trying desperately to write about Conuscius. Die! Confucius DIE!!! Now thinking of what electives to take next semester... Thinking of doing Japanese society and culture but is worried that I might meet me old friend Confucius again! My spirits are finally picking up too now tt i haf a bit more time and less retreats/camps to go to. It's been a major rollercoasting week for me and my musical cos the props/set dept went into major crisis after everything got destroyed by termites. =(

But everyone's optimistic abt how much we can catch up and the gd tt has come out of it so yeah. And things aren't looking as bad as they were yesterday and the day before...so i'm happy. Only got the sniffles a bit la but tts the least of my worries now.

wanted to update u guys bout wat's happening in my life these few wks... practically, it's has been very hectic n stressful..... due to a major mistake tt i did during one of my placements. i actually fell a patient while exercising with her almost 3 weeks ago... i was down n depressed, wondering wat's goin to happen to the patient n me la... however, everything turned out ok now.. i also managed to secure a job over at St Andrew's Community Hospital (got the offer of employment today). thank God n everyone else! keke esp andrea n angel whom i met on the day tt incident happened. thanks!!

so now am in KK hospital doin my last 5 wks of attachment n finally grad. ; ) hopefully everything turns out well here... so far it has only been observation wk... so tt's bout it la... how's everybody then? rem to at least blog in something so we know wat's happening la... will catch up wif u guys soon... take care... poki poki

Weilin, Angel and Andrea last met up on the 23rd of April...we went to Siglap Centre macs...and then to Weilin's place for dessert and nuaing.

It was great to catch up....but seems like our lives are rather depressing right now. Oh well.....when things hit rock bottom, we can only go up.

I'd put up the photos if i cld upload them..but cos there's a stupid prob wif my laptop's internet connection, I can't. Sigh....will try soon ok....but anyway there are only 2 photos la. ;p

Hello pple!!! Don;t worry lah! Me still alive and kicking! And it's not all that dead here! Me quite enjoying meself here lor... Me mum and bro visited over easter break and me rented a car and brought them around the city and surrounding areas. Before that, me and me freinds went for a road trip around the area. Rented an 8 seater mini-bus. Quite fun! The pace here is alright. Studying is not that tough I guess. But the internet connection sucks!!! CAnnot stand it! Me surviving on 56k dailup still! And can't seem to use msn or icq. The stupid school set up a firewall that me can't seem to bypass. And using up me quota soon. Didn't know that there was such a thing as limited quota internet connections till me came here! Already try to save but still used 150 M in 3 mths... Still have like 50 M to last me for the next 3 mths! Cannot make it liao! Have to stop using school free dailup service and get another internet provider soon! But it's sooooo expensive here! And if me go home for 3 mths in summer like not worth it leh... Avi, how's it at yr side? Urm... me think me shouldn't be asking that... You're studying in a big metropolitian city with "modern" facilities (I hope!) while I'm stuck in the south in some ulu "city" that has 8 main streets and where people (the locals) can survive on 75 M of internet usage per semester! They can't even imagine how I can use 150 M in 3 mths. So yah... before me get me own connections, me will mia for sometime but rest assured that all's well!

hi all... yup.. me a avi met up at a fish n chips store... kekekeke had a good time doing some catching up lor... kekek
and btw, avi asked me for mee siam recipe so i decided to put it up here la... so some of u ppl can also adopt it n try cooking if u r free la... CH, u can try too if u dun haf tis one.. or u can share some other recipe... kekeke

Ingredients:
1) bee hoon
2) S'pore mee siam paste (can be found in a chinese supermarket along melbourne chinatown area, cost ard 3.20)
3) spicy fresh grinded chilli (can make do wif can ones also la, cos can't find in melbourne leh)
4) bean sprouts
5) fresh prawns (around 1/2kg for 4 servings la)
6) 'ku' vege... (look-alike spring onion but flat kind, vic market got 2 stalls selling, i think, 2bucks for a bunch)
7) 'tau po'
8) lime
9) eggs
10) onions & garlic

Instructions:
A) Spicy chilli
- grind garlic (5) & onions (10) together
- stir-fried garlic n onion till golden brown then add chilli in and heat.

B) Bee Hoon + Bean sprouts
- use some left-over chilli in the pot + water > put to boil
- put 2 spoons of mee siam sauce > stir
- add bee hoon & bean sprouts > fry in small fire

C) Mee siam Gravy
- boil prawns
- make use of the 'prawns' soup + lime + rest of mee siam paste + light sauce > boil
- add 'tau po' in soup n boil

D) add hard boiled egg n ready to serve.....

ok! hope tis helps... u can ask me if u dun understand any of wat me saying... kekke shld be quite easy to cook, jus more of the preparation la... btw, is there a kind of MINUTES sweet in melbourne? my fren ask me to buy, but so far can't find any... she say it's in green n white... creamy in flavour... any idea? oh... where can get cheaper Lifesavers? kekek

They can be the most irritating of things nowadays. Let me explain...whatever goes on ur blog no longer belongs to u...it belongs to whoever reads it. Am goin thru a kinda crisis...cos the other day was feeling really pissed off with this cockenaden of a fren (well actually not sure whether I consider her as a fren) but anyway was pissed off wif her cos she did sthg really stupid..and she's been doing it for the past few weeks. (Mths actually juz tt it only took me now to realise)

What do u do when pple are so stupid yet u hafta work with them? And wat do u do when they are kinda close and demand explanations or dun allow u to say bad things abt them on your own blog? And it's not even said explicitly...they juz expect u to be nice lah. Aargh. And this is like the only place that I can vent lor. Hello!!! Actually put up a post some time earlier but did not get through. And then tried to save it but somehow got erased from the com. Ok, now shall try to type something. Ok, This is officially the first week, no... the first day of school! Had a wonderful 3 week of holidays where we go around the place. It was so bloody hot 3 weeks ago... Had a high of 43.6 degrees and was much hotter than anything that we experienced in Singapore. And the weather changed overnight lor! It went like from 40+ degrees to 20 degrees overnight! And really overnight coz we went to bed damn hot, woke up in the middle of the night feeling chilly and the next morning... brrr... And it's so nice now coz it's a nice 20+ degrees. And it's the Adelaide fringe now... And where I live is right in the middle of action. Ok, I live on Randle st, which is like the orchard road of the place. And I have pubs and restuarants all around me street. Opps... have to go now coz have to get dinner... will complain about the internet connections next time...

sorry for my absence on the blog....cos i've been really bz...up to my neck in work for my play and with sch...and with my other musical. Yeah, so as u all can see, i can barely breathe, much less post stuff on our famous5 blog.

But! Poetry in the Flesh has ended (finally!!) and now i'm only (yeah right only) left wif sch wk (3 projects running) and the other musical. Yup....sounds exciting right? it is quite la...but v stressful also...and there are other things tt my parents are forcing me to think abt - wat to do after i graduate? Haiz...ain't v decided again whether i shld or can actually do hons or not so tts one big headache there.

Haven't been out much cos been spending so much time in rehearsals and all...but really glad for all the experience lah.

Hello all! I've just made the reservation for 6 (famous 5 including CH's friend = 6) at Coca Steamboat this Sunday, 1st Feb.

The reservation is at 1pm, they will only hold the table for 15 minutes. DON'T BE LATE okay. It's Hari Raya and the next day will be a public holiday so you can bet that it will be crowded. If they give up the table (like they did at Sakae the last time we met), not so sure we can get a table soon.

So I have to repeat myself, DON'T BE LATE!!! It's pretty irritating that every time we meet, everyone else decides that turning up 1/2 hour - 1 hour later is fine. Because it's not.

Ya lah! Egocentric so what?! Yeah, and I conder why I continueto toil everyday? Even my dad, mom and aunt told me to quit. Maybe the quiz is true after all... The boss at Bakery Depot very smart, scared we learn her recipe so she make the dough in advance before we come in and just get us to shape and bake them. But then again, the bakery's cookies are not as good as expected! Think I still make better cookies! Anyone wanna sample some?

Don't complain... Me getting paid a miserable $5.50/hr. Have to stand from morning till evening, pinching cookie dough, slogging in front of the oven, pipping jam onto cookies and stuff. Thought that I'll be able to learn something if I work in a bakery but too bad everything's prepared before we come in and so, all I learnt was how to operate the ovens and how to shape cookies... Sigh, work unitl legs and arm all tired and sore just for a bit of money, not worth it! Only incentive is the "sampling". Someone had to do the dirty work of ensuring quality... and so I sacrifice loh! Am nuturing a belly here...
And I spent the last few hours of the year baking CNY cookies. So exciting rite..... Sigh... Happy New Year guys!
