Hailey is 4!

Our sweet Hayes-a turned 4 this May.

She is SO fun, and full of SO much energy.  She is endlessly playing and thinking of new things to do.  She never wants to come in from playing outside.  She's still so independent, she wants to be as big as the others.  She can entertain herself for hours... but it's more fun when Carly is around.   Those two get along so well.  She's great with Ike, but she does like to startle him by squealing.

Hailey has turned out to be my biggest girlie girl.  Maybe it's too many Fancy Nancy books, but she's always talking about how posh she is.  When I do her hair in the morning, she asks for bows, then she stands on the counter top and stares at herself for a couple of minutes.

Favorites:
Toys- Luke's legos, Calico Critters, and Barbies
Pastime-  Dress ups (which means wearing a leotard and tying a blanket around her waist) and being read to.  When she sees me sit down to feed Ike, she runs and grabs a pile of books and plops down next to me.
Fruit- Peaches (she says this but, never eats them... I would say it's strawberries)
Book- Fancy Nancy, any of them... she has them all and loves to read all of them EVERY day
Game- Tumble
Song- Let it Go, If You Don't Walk As Most People Do, Everything is Awesome.
Playmates- Jake, Emma, Kael, Ryan, and all of my cousins
Holiday- Christmas
Treat- donuts
Outside activity- swinging
Really dislikes- chores and cleaning up after herself
Color- yellow and purple

We had cinnamon stuffed french toast for her birthday breakfast.  She kept getting shy/silly while trying to blow out her candle.

I think in the end, everyone else had to do it.

She wanted to go to McDonalds for her Birthday lunch.  We were lucky to have Uncle Blake come too.

I asked her what kind of party she wanted, she said, "Outside with my family...oh, and my Jakey friend "
So we had family over, and right before the party, so ran next door to grab her Jakey friend.

Of course she got all shy again when it was time to blow out her candles.

We love this girl so much!

Isaac @ 2 months

This little guy has turned into the happiest baby ever!  He is so fun.  He eats and sleeps great, he puts up with his siblings carting him around, and he smiles a lot.
Sometimes I lovingly call him a turkey when he spits up down the front of my shirt, Carly gets a worried little look and says, "But we still love him Mom, and we want to keep him".  She's so funny, I let her know that no matter what he does we'll always keep him.  So now I add that too, "...we'll still love you and keep you!"

Luke, Ike, and Noah enjoying some quality cousin time

He's starting to gets lots of chub on him

Jake (my neighbor boy, Hailey's bff) loves to come visit Ike.
One day he said, "Hey, Megan... I sure like that baby of yours".

I just love his eyelashes so much.

He's a happy little sleeper.

haircut and school stuff May 2014

May was spent trying to make the best of the last weeks of school.  For me and the kids.  Hailey, Ike, and I went shopping a lot since there were only a few opportunites left to do it without all the kids.

 Target is our favorite hangout

Abigail decided she couldn't take her hair one second longer.
I told her she had to think about it for a whole week before she could cut it.

Sadly, I thought I had told the hair lady that we were donating it, but we got communications mixed up.  So all her lovely hair went to waste.

She was so happy while getting it cut.

She loves it!  And it looks so cute on her.

It seemed like May was full of school activities.  Luke went to the Math olympiad at the Fair grounds with his friend Burkelle.  They didn't win their spaghetti tower, but they had fun... and that's what matters.

Abigail had a field trip at the Ogden Nature Center.

They had to find tiny insects in their nets from the pond.  A lot of the kids were squeamish about it, but not Ab.  She dove right in and got her hands dirty.  I was proud.

Luke's grade had a talent show.  Luke did Kendama tricks and then the whole class sang a few songs.  It was fun to watch, Luke did great and he wasn't the least bit nervous.  Carly and Hailey stayed in the little kid bathroom pretty much the whole time so Hailey could stare at her reflection in the big mirror.  She loves herself a little bit too much.

Carly's preschool graduation was at the Kangaroo zoo.  It was so nice to watch the kids play and talk to the rest of the adults.

Carly up on the stage with Miss Amy next to her.  She had the best teachers.

Isaac was an angel baby the whole time in his pack.

As you can see it got a bit hot in there and the kids were sticky with sweat by the time the night was over.

I'm going to miss all my kids teachers from this year.  They were all fantastic.

And there's this picture just because.

Mothers Day weekend 2014

Brent and Shelley (who live in AZ) wanted to come and surprise (we really like surprises in our family) our Mom for Mothers Day this year.  She didn't think that she'd be seeing them until the fall and she was telling me how sad she was about it.
We went and picked them up at the Ogden airport on Friday.  My Dad took my Mom out to dinner while we all met at their house for the surprise get-together.   We all got babysitters, so it was just a fun night for the adults.  It was priceless to see the look on my Moms face when she realized they were here.
Saturday we had a BBQ with everyone, and Sunday (mothers day) was when Luke and Lisa blessed Nash.  So we were together pretty much all weekend, which was awesome.

 They're here!

 Saturday BBQ

They were staring at the ball that got stuck in the tree, and then the other ball that got stuck in the tree trying to retrieve the first one.  Finally a shoe got both balls down.

Sunday was so much fun.
They were so excited to give me their little presents and cards.  I love these kids with all my heart.

Dance recital May 2014

The girls had a great recital this year.  They have loved dance so much, I think it's been extra fun because they've been with friends.  We were so proud of them.  They danced their little hearts out.  The most fun part though, was probably watching Hailey in the audience.  She danced even more than the girls on stage.  Next year that girl needs to be in dance too.
