We stayed home and did a lot of Spring cleaning, some fun cooking, and I even took the kids to a Utah Flash game, which they completely loved.
On Thursday Paige came home from school with 2 Utah Flash tickets for Saturday's game. At first I said no. Jared had just left that morning, and the thought of trying to park the car and find our way through the crowd to our seats was a little much for me (if you know me I really hate crowds, I am very claustrophobic). So I told Paige no and tried to leave it at that. But she is a very persuasive 7 year old and promised she would be a very good girl over the weekend. She even promised to clean her room, so I finally gave in. Since we only had 2 tickets and there are 4 of us I called the box office. Our tickets were for general admission seating, but the box office said that I could upgrade for just $5 a ticket. I thought that was a good deal.
Friday I took the day off work. MaKady and Paige went to school and Lucas and I spent most of the day playing trucks and ball and I cleaned while he took his naps (he takes 2 naps during the day).
On Saturday Paige had a primary activity, then we helped clean the church and we made marshmellow easter eggs (you can check my food blog for the recipe). Saturday night I took the kids to the Utah Flash game. It was so much fun. MaKady and Lucas sat and cheered and loved the game. Paige mostly liked the dancers and she was always really concerned where the Utah Flash Fox was. She was so mad that he kept ignoring her and talking to all of the other kids. Finally I waved him down and he came over and shook her hand, she was in heaven. Also she kept having to go to the bathroom. I'm not sure if she was nervous or what, but I seriously took her to the bathroom 4 times in 90 minutes. Our tickets were pretty good too. We sat on the front row. We loved it. It is definately something we will try again, but maybe next time Jared will come with us.
Sunday we went to church and Jared got home Sunday night. It was a fast, fun weekend.
The kids easter eggs after they dipped them in chocolate and decorated them with frosting.
Jared spent his weekend with his best buddy Trent at "Mopars at the Strip". It's something he does every year. When we lived in Las Vegas he worked for Phil. A few years ago Phil started doing this show and every year Jared goes down and helps out. He is usually in the ticket booth selling tickets or at the gate checking passes. It's fun for him, and I prefer to stay home. Maybe one of these times I will go, but... Anyway enjoy all the pictures he took.
