For the past two weeks, Ben has been on vacation. We have loved having him home, but as all good things come to an end, he had to go back to work today. We were sad to have a quiet house again but luckily had the Halloween festivities to keep us occupied a bit. While Ben was home, we mostly just spent time together there. We did go to some fun places with Shelby though.
We first took her to the Treehouse Museum. If you have kids and have never been, it's amazing and worth the drive. It's two levels of museum with a huge treehouse in the middle. They have story time, arts and crafts and the whole lower floor is devoted to dramatic play. You can see some of the things Shelby got to dress up as in the pictures, but she didn't even get to half of the dramatic play things. We loved it!
We also got to go to the Dinosaur Park. This was also amazing to go to and really kept Shelby's interest. There were tons of dinosaurs in the outside park to look at as well as an indoor museum with cool artifacts. This is a fun visit as well.
I have to explain the bottom right picture of Shelby. If you take a closer look at it you'll see she has two purple rocks in her ears. We had found some rocks on the ground and picked them up to show Shelby. I turned around and the next time I looked at her she had them in her ears. I don't know what gave her the idea, but I thought it was pretty funny.
By the end of it all, Shelby was just plain tuckered. The blanket went over the head and she was out.

Pictures in the fall
This last weekend we went up the canyon and took some family pictures while the colors are so beautiful and vibrant. It reminded me of our first time taking fall pictures last year on campus at USU. It's fun to reminisce and see how we've all grown (and shrunk...look at those chubby cheeks on all of us!).
We got some pretty funny faces out of Shelby...
Too bad the best picture of Shelby on the bridge was the one with her binkie and blanket and the camera remote in hand. Too bad she'd had it by then.

Suggestions.....
So, I got a calling teaching Sunday School a couple of months ago team teaching with another lady in the ward; we trade off Sundays. However, since then, Shelby has had a hard time staying in nursery and Ben has had to take her home the days that I teach and cannot be with her. So, this morning we had a cleaning assignment at the church and Shelby and I passed the nursery (mind you there was nobody there). I asked her to come in with me for a second and she started freaking out!!! She wouldn't move from the hallway and could not be calmed. It's starting to stress me out, I don't know what do to help her have a good experience in nursery. We have really good leaders and I think the kids are pretty decent. Do you have any suggestions that would ease the transition? I need all the help I can get at this point.
